Lol what a coincidence this is in my recommended, I've been giving myself a hard time about trying out the easier characters, Djeeta in particular. Ive been avoiding her for like 3 weeks now since i bought the game and i finally played her yesterday it was so fun! 😂 But at the same time I feel bad cause she's so easy to combo with 💀 like i can just combo into anything it's great!
Most people who really REALLY love the character will figure out strengths and weakness. Maybe they'll even discover crazy cool tech unique to that character. Even if you yourself didn't discover the tech quitting the character just deprives you of finding satisfying ways to apply it.
Exactly. Modern fighting games are pretty well-balanced for the most part all things considered. No one is even close to unplayable. Whether it's Granblue, SF6, Guilty Gear, MK, any character in any of those games has strengths and advantages unique to them. Even the absolute weakest character. If you were the best player in the world at the weakest character in the game, you would stomp 99.9% of players. So all you have to do is get better. Play who you like, good or bad.
In dbfz this happened to me with Bardock, I am a massive Z Bardock head but dropped him because people are unable to block an auto combo. I am gonna be honest kind of feel like that with granblue too I like Vira but because she is kinda crazy good I play other characters that I like or think are cool(thankfully thid game is full of them), eventually I will break free or succumb to avatar Belial
I think your lacking nuance, in strive chaos was the peak of toxicity, he wasn't only broken but also lame to play against, I had a friend that liked chaos (and winning) and he would enter online brackets then receive hate mail from his opponents afterwards (like alot), I'm not disagreeing that people should play the characters available to them (if there's an issue the devs should fix it) but what I am saying is alot of people cant handle the toxic backlash for playing their character, and before playing said overpowered character you should already decide if your mental is strong enough to ignore it or not
I can agree with your points, not everyone is able to handle all the pressure from their character choice, but it's also sad to see that you need to have a strong mental when the players who are toxic are the ones who need to change Unfortunately, the toxicity will never change since people would rather complain and blame the player over the fault of the devs for allowing this to happen
