Could not put it better! I'm not going to lie, at first I still believed Floor wouldn't measure up but when I gave her a chance I realized this was Floor's band all along, it just took a while to get there!
It's amazing to see people who met Nightwish with Floor hearing Nightwish with Tarja, so they can understand that only a vocalist with Floor's skills could, not replace, but keep the unbelievable level of the band!
Want to see them even younger? Their first dvd ever - "From Wishes to Eternity" - is on RU-vid. Marco wasn't even part of the band back then. xD Oh my gosh, the memories. Such nostalgia, hehe.
For more Tarja try Wish I had an Angel, Over the Hills & Far Away (Gary Moore cover) & Sleeping Sun also from End of an Era. Also her solo stuff is good as well maybe I walk Alone or 500 letters. Speaking of ex-Nightwish front lady's you need to check out one of Anette's new projects The Dark Element. It is power metal that I think will be right up your alley. Maybe try Songs the Night Sings, My Sweet Mystery, or Not Your Monster. I have to admit that I was NOT an Anette fan in Nightwish but when you let her find her own voice the results are good. Also Jani's guitar playing is still great.
YES! This is the most powerful version, Marco and tarja sound so good together. I'd recommend any song from Wishes to Eternity. you'll see them so young in 2001 :p
I have been a big fan of Nightwish for many years and I wish that their music will start to sound like this again. The new songs are good but they sort of lack a certain edge the older ones have.
I do love Tarja, especially on these really intense opera based songs. If you haven't you need to do her on Supremacy. It is like the ultimate James Bond sounding song. I can just picture it playing while he's hanging off a chopper or racing down the streets after someone. Truly unique voice. :)
If you want more of Tarja in her full glory, check out Bless the child (live 2003), Swanheart (Wishes to Eternity), and Sleeping Sun (End of an Era). She also sings with Within Temptation! (Paradise) ...and so does Xibit (And We Run)
This is one of those ones that blows me away every single time. And that’s like about 100 single times now. This performance especially. It’s so ridiculously good.
This was a great reaction. And song. Tarja’s tones and vocals are so unique. She is a siren and enchantment comes with it Request. Nightwish - Nightquest
I think Kai is technically better but I really miss Jukka. He’s a very heavy hitter. Seriously, that’s not just an expression it really makes the sound.
Fell in love with Nightwish during the Tarja era. I tried it out with Anette but could not. I gave it another chance with Ghost Love Score Live at Waken and immediately fell in love again!!
Before starting this video: I've been *waiting* for...well, for anyone at all to react to this. Planet Hell, End of an Era, *fantastic* performance. I'm glad you were the first I've seen, man. Cheers for checking it out! I think I linked you to this vid on one of your earliest Nightwish reactions, but it probably got lost in the tsunami of hype. Either way, *love* your reactions, and the way that you get into it. Keep it up, man!
I think he already did Phantom of the opera. Or am I just imagine things? Siren he has not heard yet. That I am sure about. :) Would be really nice to see his reaction for that one.
you really need to watch the whole of end of a era concert, keep in mind, everyone BUT here knows its her last show..........puts Poet and the pendulum in perspective
Floor has done this song, but I don't know if there is a decent video of it on YT.... And again, this song only confirms what I've said: Jukka Nevalainen is one of the greatest drummers of all time. 😁 #IMissThePirate
You’ve got to check out all the tracks on End of an Era. Fantastic gig! Nobody but the band knew what was going to happen straight after that show, but that’s all history now. Anyway I think the vocal chemistry between Marco and Tarja during that gig is the best I’ve heard from Nightwish
I was a huge fan of Nightwish as a young kid when Tarja was in the band, but after her I just stopped listening to them. I just had heard songs from Anette-era and radio hits from album with Floor... until now that you showed the side of Nightwish with Floor I'm currently addicted at! Vechile of Spirit at Wembley Arena 2015, best live album I've probably ever heard!! So yeah man, thank you for bringing me back to my childhood times fave band 😀❤️
Great video man! I know u already reacted for Ghost Love Score live with Floor, but you SHOULD check Ghost Love Score live with Tarja (End of an Era), or She Is My Sin Live 2013 with Floor (incredible durms by Jukka).
There's a very interesting video from Tampere where you can hear Floor sing a typical "Tarja song", Stargazers. I'm not a part of the whole Tarja-or-Floor debate. For me it's like two types of favourite candy, I will enjoy both and will always want more, regardless of type. No, in this case it's interesting, because you can see that the greatness of Nightwish stands alone, regardless of Floor/Tarja. Also, you can see that Floor can also do operatic metal vocals in the style of "old Nightwish". So, basically, if you were a big fan of "old Nightwish", you can still hear it today, with Floor. So, we can't lose. Oh, nevermind all that, just listen to the song! It's awesome! Also, Emppu has four a big part of it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NhEuAPYm_Ug.html
End of an era is one of their best live performances...every song is mindblowing! There is no best singer! Just the best band in the world! All hail Nightwish!
Other Nightwish songs YOU NEED to check out: The Islander, live at Tampere Creek Mary's Blood, End of an Era Wanderlust, From Wishes to Eternity Walking in the Air, From Wishes to Eternity Gethsemane, Buenos Aires
Fun fact- she was fighting the flu during this show,,,,, and she was fired immediately after before the night was through (unrelated to the illness, lol)
yah, they squeezed her for every last penny and then labeled her a diva, before the world as she was sleeping and trying to recover from her affliction
@@lastword9475 they actually gave her the letter explaining why they were letting her go after they got off stage. They then published the letter publicly so that the fans knew as well, and yes the husband/ personal manager was alot of the reason for making her miss rehearsals, recordings, and such. As well as going behind both the band and her and demanding extra money just to show up for shows. She always picked him over the band so they decided to part ways.
Fun Fact about this song: Nowdays just a few remember, but this serious dramatic song was really famous back in the 2010's for being used as background music in the video of the _Falador Massacre_ *6/6/6* was the day of the _Falador Massacre_ that till today has yet left several scars on those who got to see that terrible scene.
You havent seen Nightwish young, until you watch the music video for Bless The Child. Tuomas in his "EMO phase in life",everyone looking like babyfaces straight outta highschool. Pretty fun to look back at,for nostalgic purposes. Allthough i have to admit,it is strange hearing Tarja sing it now, with soo many years prefering how Floor sings it. (And i used to think Tarja was the only one, noone could come remotely close to in vocals......funny how things change!) Even the music video for Over The Hills And Far Away is fun to look back at,Tuomas and Tarja sharing even the same haircolour back then. (They stood eachother very close back then)Prince nods proudly for theyr choice of haircolour from the heavens above.
My fav Tarja Nightwish song. Jukka on the drums will forever be known as Drum God. Kai Drum Master, Tommy Portimo drum playing hobbit, Alex Landsberg smiling drummer and drum playing hobbit smiles drumming too.
Great reaction as always 👍🏼 if you want to check her out with Nightwish: Creek Mary's Blood is one of my absolute favorites. Otherwise, I strongly recommend her cover of Muse's "Supremacy". It's a masterpiece!
Tarja was the reason Nightwish started using electronic/amplified instruments and moving towards metal. Her voice was just too strong for their first acoustic attempts. It is such a shame she let her character be wasted by a dude she fell in love with, who told her the band is nothing without her and only in her way. She was great until then. I especially love the whole whismaster set. It was a hard decission to do that last tour as she got strong influence to not speak to her former band in person ever again. Great to see all this hate is now gone after the Annete Olzon days.
I have the same freakin' reactions when I genuinely enjoy the music. I pause at the best part to process like "God, that was so fantastic. Are my ears really listening to something so good?" Words can't really describe my feelings, seriously.
Jukka is the best Nightwish drummer! Kai is so freaking good! and he is the best possible replacement for Jukka, and i like him better as a drummer in general, his work in Wintersun is incredible! he is my all time favorite. BUT... Jukka's style of drumming fits better with Nightwish imo. a bit of a rant.. hope it makes sense :)
ALL hale the REAL TRUE QUEEN 👑 of NIGHTWISH and of ALL FEMALE SYMPHONIC METAL SINGERS!!!, the very beautiful looking and very unique voice of the enchanting TARJA!!!😀👍👍🤘
I appreciate Tarja, and she was the first Nightwish vocalist I listened to, but Floor made me a real fan. I'd love to see you do more of the Buenos Aires 2018 show.
[Unpopular Opinion Warning] I like the SIR studio version of Planet Hell with Anette the best. She clearly cannot reach the same clean notes, but it gives the whole song even more of a 'raw' feeling. Which I think fits it very well. I also like everything else on that recording.
Hey man! How quarantine going? Hope you and yours are well. AND THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE!!! Stay safe and don’t be stupid. Stay home. Unfortunately my job falls under the “Essential” category.
