I think poppers on the Ilford Jess, i've just put brass poppers on my first Ilford and I think they look really good. I did have a couple come undone but if you have the pliers you will probably be ok. I sew and work from my living room. I keep all my supplies in a sideboard so it fits in with usual living room furniture. I don't have a massive fabric stash but I do have to keep on top of it to be able to keep the space tidy as it's very visible!

Totally agree! So many of you said poppers so I went with them and it was such a great choice!

Have you thought about a screen to separate your sewing space from the new living room? It could hide some of the WIPs in the sewing space when you both need some time away from sewing!

I did this before I had a designated sewing room with a Kalax unit from IKEA. All your makes are going to look amazing. I’m working on my sewing yellow for endo piece at the moment, first time entering a challenge

Could you do poppers with "fake" buttons? Only I think large bronze/gold buttons would look good but I see your point about the thickness issue. Just a thought...
