damn do i love toy soldiers, i just really wish companies had more variety and uniqueness when posing them, more dead/wounded ones, ones running AND covering their head, stumbling ones, maybe some one piece two figure poses lol
my 8 year old is obsessed with history and army men,,,, his question is for you.... were did you order this stuff from......we are sick of ordering skinny army men haha... thanks for yr awesome content!!
Thank you so much! I order pretty much everything from eBay these days. Whether it’s through private sellers or bigger stores. Right now my main go to is Classic Toy Soldiers. They have a wide variety of figures from multiple producers. Armies in Plastic is another great manufacturer who I would definitely recommend for younger children due to their affordability, durability, and variety of different figures. Thanks again for stopping by the commander corner!
I bought an army men lot a while back, but hearing you talk about the background (timmy, dollar store, knock offs) makes me want to know more about the sets I've got. Is there a site where I can more easy search for them? Or is there somewhere I can find more information about them? I've got a few I think are interesting atleast, as I've not seen models like them before.
It all started when I got my first package of army men there were 13 soldiers and I Whanted more so I gone. On Amazon and bought 800 packets of soliders In each packet we’re 400 solider and now I have 99999’99999 soliders and I know you think I’m lying but I do have that much but I know there is more out ther
Who made and what were the army men called that were about 3” tall, you cud move arms head, they had muscular arms and the weapons were interchangeable and were really lifelike? Late 70s early 80s.
You can get army men from BMC toys online! I also have 1000's of soldiers, their just my thing. I even have pink soldiers too! Do you like collecting police figures too? I made a large order last month, cost me over £200 in total.
You know where I can get some decent quality knock off Airfix guys? (Like the first Piss Platoon Soldier you showed off) I’m just now looking into collecting, I have 200 Airfix knock off Greys that I got a long long time ago from a website that’s not around anymore, and I’m trying to get some other colored ones. PS: Great collection!
There’s a guy on eBay right now selling some knock off British soldiers from the 90’s, here’s the link www.ebay.com/itm/363865419013?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=c9pjnugzq1o&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=NvMMPiLqQnO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I know Amazon had a huge lot of 1,000 for around $35 dollars a year or so ago that I bought but I don’t believe they sell them. Your best bet is eBay. Most knock offs reproduce tim mee figures these days from what I’ve seen.
@@theplasticcommander ooooh appreciate the quick help! I’ve also noticed that it’s just Timmee knock offs nowadays which kinda sucks cause I really like having a variety!
such an amazing and huge collection as someone who also get plastic soldiers this is cool. keep up the amazing work. what would you suggest for video content for those that want to get into it?
Peronsally, I really enjoy watching thrift store hauls and videos from toy collectors. Thrift stores are great places to find figures for dirt cheap. There’s also tons of toy collectors who occasionally talk about something army men related as well.
There are marx 45m fort apache pioneers in the unknown basket in silver running lookout ,pistol butt plus others. Have any tastee freeze presidential sundae semi flats.
They actually have quit selling those. You can find them on Amazon though. I’m guessing they’re moving away from military toys to help their image if I had to guess.
have you ever come accross a cheap plastic made in hong kong ford gpa amphibean ww2 jeep? i have one from my childhood from the eighties, but never saw another one of those

Question: I’m 55 and I am starting to buy the army men and German army men that I played with in the early 70’s. Can you make a video tell us if there are better places to go than eBay in order to buy them. I notice the German men are a lot more than the American. Any info from you would be great. These pieces I buy are being played with by grand children. So I’m not worried about them being perfect.
Flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales are three places to start. People don’t value toy army men because they just don’t realize what they’re worth at those places. On eBay you have resellers and other collectors who know what they have and want to get every cent they can. I’ve made ridiculously good finds at the flea market and especially the thrift store. Sounds like the figures you’re looking for are old Marx figures from battlegrounds and The Guns of Naverrone. BMC toys makes excellent reproductions of some Marx GI’s as well as a whole slew of other figures that were sold by Lido, MPC, and even Timmee. Reproductions are a great way to go since they’re new and you’re buying for kids. But most certainly check your local thrift stores and flea markets. You’d be amazed the people who don’t realize the value of these toys.
