In this video, I cover my MCAT study that I created through all the online resources available. This is a 6 month plan that was used while I was working full time and bumped my score up 6 points from the first time I took the MCAT. The schedule can be adjusted to fit your timing needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

The MCAT is hard and the MCAT is important, so how do you plan to conquer the test?

Very helpful video!! Since I'm also a retaker, I was wondering if the scores from your retaken practice AAMC exams were close to your actual score? (I didn't take the fourth full-length in case I needed to retake). Thanks! Also, an idea that just came to me for a potential new video is you sharing tips for retakers i.e. repeating AAMC material/practice exams, pros/cons of self-studying versus taking a prep course, and overcoming doubts and fears that are unique to retakers (such as will I do worse, etc.). I know you covered some of these in other videos but a dedicated video may also be helpful (if you had the time)!

@@georginab7009 Good questions! I was scored 517+ on practice full lengths. The main issue I had for the drop in my score from practice to real was covered in a different video! But I truly appreciate the video idea. I will definitely work on that.

I’m glad you caught that. The numbers of times I watched that ad during MCAT prep was unbearable. So I had to recreate it

Hey Jason! Congrats on becoming a Med-Student. Soo glad I found your channel thanks for all the tips. Your study period is similar to what i have in mind. I will begin in the fall and am looking at taking a test in late March. Will it be ok if I used your excel sheet and just modify it to fit my needs? Thanks Linda.

What do u think abt doing Kaplan chapters/TPR chapters and then do the corresponding UWorld along with it or do u think finishing content review first is the way?
@JasonKrastein
@JasonKrastein 3 года назад
That would be the better option if you are trying to spend less time study (ie 3 months).

Hi! Im a full-time student athlete, so I was already planning to do a 6-mknth study plan. Also, I want to volunteer in hospitals, but they require signing up for certain days every day for a year, and my schedule is too chaotic to do this. Do you have any tips?
@JasonKrastein
@JasonKrastein 2 года назад
Great question! It’s definitely difficult but do able. You can adjust my schedule to your liking. You will have to take a day off every week to allow your brain to rest. So maybe on those days, you could volunteer at the hospital? If you have more questions, it’ll be easier to DM on insta!

I was modeling my study schedule after your excel since I also have all the PR books but I noticed that your schedule is missing some chapters from the PS book. Is this because you were already familiar with the material?
@JasonKrastein
@JasonKrastein 2 года назад
I skipped some chapters because I didn’t think they were necessary for my studying/ weren’t covered in UWorld Qs

I’m a full time masters degree student and part time worker. Would you recommend a 1 year MCAT study plan? Was thinking about blueprint and ANKI.
@JasonKrastein
@JasonKrastein 2 года назад
I think 1 full year of studying is too much. You will forget concepts and burn out will before exam day. Also, I don't think you will have enough time in the day to also add on MCAT studying.

I was really hoping to see how you incorporated your work schedule into your study plan since you mentioned you worked full time. 🙂
@JasonKrastein

I worked from 7:30-3:30pm every day. I would go to the gym either before work or go during my lunch break. I did most of the studying after work.

@@JasonKrastein oooh ok gotcha! Thank you for the clarification. I looked at your study schedule and saw that it started at 7:00AM. Based off what you’re saying you studied what’s in your study schedule after work ?

@@KT-pw1cq I would primarily do my anki cards before work and the do whatever review/practice questions that were listed after work

@@JasonKrastein I’m using “miles down pre-made anki” there’s about 2888 cards in that anki deck so every time I learned a topic I study the cards for that topic then unsuspend them the next day to review. So I’ll probably be Unsuspending about 50 cards at a time on daily basis. I want to be done reviewing all of the cards by mid January. Im fairly new to anki and not sure how can I set my settings to make sure that when I unsuspend my cards that I will be able to review all of the cards that I unsuspend for that day as well as older cards that I studied before and keep at it on a consistent bases?
