Thank you for this video. I'm new to CNC and Fusion 360, planning to buy one machine for guitar building. Seeing the complete process, just like you presented it, gave me a lot of valuable information. Thank you!

Hello sir, this Looks like a great machine.. a bit pricey for a diyer but the ability to draw and design on the computer and get your drawing routed out exactly might be worth it. How do you like yours? Or is it still a bit lost in the corner of your shop now you got the shaper? Also what do you think about the size? Is the small version an option? Or is the upgrade to the 1,2m of the med size a must when you are spending the money anyway

Thank you, I have mixed views on my CNC at this time, I seem to always be chasing accuracy as cuts tend to have small discrepancies that I just can’t work with. If I were to buy again I would consider the “pro” version or a CNC that has worm drive axis and not belts as I believe my issues are all stemming from the unit using belt drives. Hope that helps? As for size I can only fit a medium in my shop but if I had the space I would always get the biggest I can afford and fit

very helpful! can you do a video of a simple project when you use multiple tools and have to swap. how to do this in fusion and how you manage on EVO. Thanks!

Heya, ok so, I’m on the free version of fusion which doesn’t allow for tool changes in the script but in terms of the CNC this doesn’t accommodate for tool changes either. SO, the only way I do it is by exporting the g code in seperate formats (1 for each tool head) run the code, then manually and very carefully so as to not put the machine out of alignment change the bit. To be honest, if you have the evo I can’t recommend changing the tool head. How I explained above is how I do it but I try not to do that. I’m all truths I’m really considering changing machine to the Pro version

@@woodcraft_cz I have the education version of fusion, so it may be allowed? I have just been trying to avoid changing tools, but really limits things. Will you “upgrade” your machine to pro, or start over? Thanks!

@@cooper67 il look at the upgrade route (cheaper) but depending on price il entertain all possibilities at the moment. I’m not sure if education has these features but I’d imagine it should 🤔

Thanks for your video about thr Mekanika. I am from Europe and still in doubt to chose between this CNC, the pro mk2 or a Shaper Origin.

Ok so I have the shaper origin and love it, I have also just purchased the mk2 pro upgrade from the evo. I can’t answer which one you should buy but I can say they are very different machines. Il leave it on this note, I think my mk2 along with my shaper will be happy for a very long time, If you were to ask me which one I would choose if I had too, without my mk2 having arrived yet and getting a taste of what full format CNC’s are capable of and the potential in the mkii, I would say MK2 first then shaper. My main reason for this is that shaper has to be manned and can be time Consuming, it’s fun at first but that soon wavers to being a chore. The Mekanika scan be just left to do their thing while you get on with other stuff and this is a big attraction for me and they are just more capable machines
