Thank you for sharing your story! It was so deep and meaningful. I was diagnosed with BPD five years ago and have been seeing a psychologist every week just as long. I know there is no cure as mental illness is what it is, but I know that it can become manageable like it is with you and has been with me. I mainly go every week to stay in top of things and if I have a bad episode. I'm so happy I found your videos and subscribed to your channel because it's nice hearing from other people who can relate! I hope your recovery continues to go well❤️❤️❤️

Anna Fitzgerald that's awesome! You look young for a PhD student! If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I'm working on my Masters in Political Science but am terrified over the thought of job stability after school because of my BPD. I've already walked away from a lot of job offers because of old habits as you know for yourself. If I can just nail down the job thing and having a semi-normal relationship, I'd be happy! Keep making videos and once again, I'm happy I found you!

Jack Webb you are so nice :D I am 24. Started my PhD at 21, it's a weird story :) I'm sure you can have the life you want and deserve! Good luck with everything! Xx

Hi I went to the ER last night after having another mental breakdown, honestly I just didn’t know where to go because i didn’t want to be home for the night but they didn’t let me stay in the hospital because I wasn’t bad enough. But I had to calm myself to get myself to the hospital alone. They did not offer to prescribe me any medication I do not recommend going to the ER to anyone who has a difficult situation that’s hard to explain. It was a scary experience and I was constantly forgotten about. I didn’t even get to see a psychiatrist like I was told I would. Instead a nurse came in and basically blamed my symptoms on myself and said I am the one who needs therapy. Like thanks Sherlock I could’ve done that. She tried to validate my own feelings. I felt rushed. And she basically said I shouldn’t be breaking down over family problems but she doesn’t know that I may have undiagnosed problems and they have been triggered by my family problems since I’ve had mental issues get worse over 3 years now. Where do you go if you can’t stay in the house? I plan to visit a general GP soon.

I am so so sorry you had to go through this and that you didn't get the help you are looking for. I am not sure which country you are from (I suppose, the US?) and hoe the mental health system is there, but maybe you can go directly to a mental health specialist. I also am not sure how old you are and if your family problems are with your parents or with a partner, in the latter case I suppose there are help centers/shelters for women. I am sorry I can't be of more help, just know you are not alone and your feelings are valid and I am here rooting for you. xxx

Hi there, I had a breakdown 2 years ago and still have days where I feel so fragile. Does it get better?? Thank you.

I think it is totally normal to feel this way, even without haing had a mental breakdown :) With time and patience, it will surely get better. But you can also help it with therapy and other tools :) xxxx

I'm curious about the type of treatment you have received in Russia because you have improved so quickly. DBT is often recommended in the USA.
@AnnaFitz
@AnnaFitz 7 лет назад
I had CBT and worked with a DBT workbook on my own. As for why so quickly, I think there were several factors: I had a really great and professional therapist, I didn't have to work 9 to 5 (devoted ALL my free time to getting better, doing exercises) , I had an EXTREMELY loving and supporting environment (my family, my ex and my friends), and I read virtually every single book devoted to the topic. But it is always very individual. My therapist told me she has a patient with a similar set of symptoms and she showed no progress in 3 years. nevertheless, now that I am off my antidepressants, back to work and broke up with my boyfriend, some of the symptoms are coming back (like depression, psychosomatic pains etc). But the amazing thing is, I know how to handle it, the reasons behind it and stuff, so in my books it's still handling the situation good enough :) hope that helped! love xx

Amazing! you are doing it! good for you Anna. i am with a beautiful lady with quiet BPD and it is hard. you are inspirational. can you talk about what can loved ones do to handle the situation better when feelings are down? also when you get bored, what do you do for it to not pull you down? thank you for all the time and effort you put in these videos. you are awesome

Thank you so much for your kind words. And I admire your willingness to help your loved one with bpd, you have no idea how important it is! I have a video on BPD and relationships, but if you have any specific questions, I will make a video on it next week :) Lots of love to you and your lady

thank you for the lighting fast reply... for a specific question, i have tons lol. but the most important is how can i cheer her up and make the situation less painful for her when she is at her low. as well at times we would be chatting and i say something that changes her mood to low, what can i do to change her mood. our relationship is 99% long distance by the way. thanks again for taking the time to reply

OMG it sounds so uch like my relationship Oo I promise, I'll make a video on it next week :) Until then remember - you are awesome and your girlfriend is lucky to have you :) take care! xx

@moe5252247 7 лет назад
YAS! that would be awesome! I have searched the web looking for anything to help but their is nothing. nothing about what to do when someone is triggered. or ways to distract or cheer up a person. I read something that says to try puzzles or game apps to get your mind distracted and in the present. your amazing for doing these videos, got my full support.

I salute you for being in a long distance relationship. I see how hard it is on my girl. it is very frustrating and difficult on both sides. the wait is worth it.

Thanks for the video, you're awsome. How long did it took you to go from the hardest moments to where you are now?

Thank you for the comment, you are awesome too :) Exactly a year. But I was extremely lucky and didn't have to worry about time, money and stuff and I was surrounded by loving and supportive people, besides, I had an amazing therapist. So I guess it's the shortest it can take... anyway, these results really vary :)

i have this recurring heart pain/palpitations that i wake up to everyday. is that normal? i doubt it. shouldnt we wake up calm and rested after a long deep sleep? i think i might be harbouring trauma or suffering from cptsd. so much fun. it could also be that i require a woman/love in my life and so the lack of this nurturing validating affection/presence is literally attacking my heart, or allowing for others to wedge in their super special abuse into the opened wound and attack me/my heart, as there is a lack there so for evil toxic abusers its easy for them to send their hate my way (after all, i am so special... why wouldnt they be obsessed with ruining such a wonderful thing as the all mighty curtis mullin?! hahahahaaa! as if, such losers. we're all gunna die!); kinda like keeping water and sunshine away from a plant, if you know what i mean, vern.

How about you demonstrate the claims you are making? Yes I've heard of chemtrails - they're rediculous. As for harp, again I've heard of it and the "bad" claims made about it are rediculous. Finally, yes I've heard of cell phone towers, and the claims made about them are rediculous. Please demonstrate your claims. One last important thing - what has this got to do with breakdowns? Correlation is NOT indicative of causation. I drank milk yesterday - I'm NOT blaming it for my sore leg. You're no less rediculous.
@CesarSandoval024
@CesarSandoval024 7 лет назад
Adrian Millard Cellphone towers that emit radiation and increases the changes of depression and lack of energy? Weather modification that emits low frequency waves ? chemtrails descuised as alternative fuels by Nasa? They may not affect us directly, but it sure makes it harder to live. everything comes in time
