Definitely your fault. HOWEVER there are kitchen knives such as Cutco on Mecari. I believe those knives could be used as weapons. IT IS A RIDICULOUS POLICY.

Write/type up a page (or more, as needed), with a brief summary/list of the no-no's that he can check when working. Then you don't have to remember to tell him.
For your neck while sleeping, you should get a "contour" pillow. Contour pillows have made all the difference for my neck. With a regular pillow, I used to wake up with a sore neck.
Sorry Dave, this is 100% on you. You REALLY should read all TOS in regards to things that can affect your business/livelihood. If you do not wish to read those yourself, then hire an attorney to review these things and let you know the laymen’s terms of what is and isn’t ok. It sucks this happened, but it’s not the first time and things like ‘weapons’ are taken pretty seriously now a days. Hope it works out. I can't believe that they won't let you get your money for one thing,that's stealing in my opinion. Mercari's customer support department is awful. I was scammed on the app by a guy who blatantly had his phone number listed on an item and when I pointed it out to them, they said "oh we'll investigate him" and the only thing that happened to him? The product with his phone number has been deleted. Very sour taste in my mouth with that site.

Just a suggestions..when listing, put what you payed for the item in your custom sku line along with the storage spot. When you list it’s usually fresher in your mind what you paid for it..I.e bin 1 $2.00
You would think if they can remove listings not allowed immediately after listing there would be a way to not allow them to be listed in the first place.

Exactly! I understand if the earnings are as a result of the sale of the knives (in this case), but if the funds were from legitimate sales, then NO WAY! This type of behavior on Mercari's part has all the makings of a class action lawsuit in the future.

Why hire your nephew to crosslist for you if you use Vendoo? If Vendoo doesn't work, why are you still promoting it? Considering you've already gotten in trouble with Mercari for selling pocket knifes, wouldn't it be a good idea to stop selling pocket knives altogether?
@@Ir-of4zn Yes, you definitely have to pay to use it unless you want to only crosslist five items. It goes up higher and higher the more items you have to list. It's expensive.
Yes, but honestly time is money. They told you and let you off with a warning. Then you trigger that alarm? Think about all the programmers writing those rules in. The customer service team, the escalation team. Then all the lawsuits or fines the company wants to avoid. Then maximize that by hundreds a day. Not just you. Time is money. They rather drop a liability when you act like one. Its not personal.. just business. You know that right?

My heart fell to my stomach when you explained it was a cross listing snafu. I don’t think anyone has ever made a warning video about the cons of cross listing. Mercari has sent me scary “we took this listing down” for allergy medicine, for home made soap, for hunting knife, so I know they are very picky. I’ll pray you receive mercy when (if) they realize the mistake was made due to crosslisting as this is a new Mercari feature. 🙏🏼
Maybe u need a safety valve on Mikey ….he does a crosslisting draft bank and you push the button to list. I think Dave’s mom is going to become a mercari seller in the very near future

It’s really frustrating also that you can never ever speak to a live person on Mercari! Or at least I can’t every time I try to they say that option is not available in your area. And then when you write back to them, you get a different person each time that doesn’t know what you said before or bother to read your statements from before it is very frustrating. I hope you get it worked out.
Not as bad as me 🤯 while out of town last week I took two melatonin gummies- put on a sleep mask cause I can’t sleep at hotels. That fallout tv show probably helped too. All these websites should have keywords that if you are listing as you should they should catch items. I sell majority media and some movies are banned and you have no clue until it’s pulled. It would be so much better for the system to flag it and not let you post it. With all that said I have a movie that eBay and Mercari won’t let me post I can publish the listing but posh gives no fucks. I think because they are looking for counterfeit clothing and shoes
Mrrcari uses an "AI" to monitor listings. I listed a fishing knife/scaler and it was deleted because it is a weapon. I relisted the item as a "fishing tool" and it was ok, I beat the "bot". I had 2 miniature pewter guns and the delisted them because the "weapons" didn t have a n orange cap on the end of barrel. I contacted them and explained the listing and they were restored. I agree there are still some bugs for Mercari to work out, especially in the customer support area.
Besides the torturous telling of the story like (a certain former potus) endlessly and annoyingly meandering, … "Indefinitely" means for an unspecified period, without a specific end date determined. "Permanently," on the other hand, implies without end, with no possibility of change or reversal. So, something indefinite might have an end, but it's not defined, while something permanent is expected to last forever. All that said your content gold is the EBay screen shot and the item picked and then the sold amount.
Please that's nothing. I'm banned off that platform for selling toys. Band for selling foam toy swords that are specifically allowed according to the weapons policy, there is a provision in the weapons policy specifically saying that toys prop. Theatrical foam plastic and wooden swords are allowed but I'm still banned on two accounts😂 They reviewed them and found themselves in the right😂 It's ridiculous
What is really difficult to understand is why Mecari would allow someone to list a knife on their platform if knives are completely restricted. Why not just block the attempted listing. Amazon is getting better at doing that. If an item is restricted you can't even list it if you wanted to. I hope this gets resolved for you. Obviously an honest mistake. Best wishes! -Steven

You will NEVER be able to talk with someone from Mercari- they do not have phone representation in the USA. You cannot even get a direct answer to your questions. They send you comments that are, obviously, standard response and they often have nothing to do with what you are telling them. Good Luck!
I honestly do well on mercari to have over 800 reviews & almost 500 followers. Hopefully they unban your account. It is werid you can sell kitchen knives though on there.
Hokas are more comfortable than OnClouds!!! I got some Hokas a while back, Bondi 6’s, to sell. After cleaning them I realized they were my exact size so I tried them on… I found my favorite shoes ever! I’ve never had a pair of shoes so comfortable… the only negative is, you have to untie and tie the laces every time you put them on, but idc, they’re too awesome to have something like that bother me like I thought it would
You need like a printed out "Do Not Cross-List" list for your helpers and yourself just to help remember what can't go on what site. You don't have to worry about trying to remember to tell people or remember everything if it's a visual like that.
If you saw what happened to Kat the Nurse Flipper, you would understand why I always used to withdraw my money after I got to like $20. Now I will withdraw maybe at $50, if I even continue selling on Mercari.
Silly policy, I posted a special anniversary Buck Hunting knife on Mercari and got a similar warning but listed a sold a quite large Cutco “kitchen” knife and that was ok. Their policy says kitchen cutlery and multi tools that include a knife are ok. So if your pocket knife has a bottle opener it’s ok. 🤦♀

I'm new to Mercari since they removed all seller fees, and something told me to check if supplements was allowed when cross listing from eBay. That seems to be a grey area on Mercari, so I stayed away from cross listing them.
I know a couple of resellers that got banned for WHO KNOWS WHY !!! No reason, no email, no nothing, they actually never answered their emails, they were selling shoes and some clothing, no high end only $20/$30 items
Macari took nurse flipper's money too. Their reason? They didn't believe, even though she had proof, that her listings were authentic. Purses and such.
(on Mercari) All while someone has been and still is selling straight bootleg movies/tv shows and even his reviews state a lot of people after receiving the item they realize its bootlegs(even though you can tell by all of his listings inclusing season 2 of loki on blu ray 😂 ).
Oh my gosh! I warned you. When you said you was about using merc, I remember telling you how they banned me for offering a refund. They kept all my funds. I remember on my comments not to leave money in the account. Crazy!
I agree a ban from Mercari is extreme. But I don’t think selling an innocuous but non-collectible on dibdit is the same. Knives can be used as weapons. There’s liability and safety to consider.
It seems if items are not allowed on a site, they should be blocked from posting. They should build key words into their program that would pop up a warning that the item will not post. How is it legal for them to keep your previous funds due to you?
Well best of luck getting this resolved. BTW I do remember seeing those plates in a picking video since I'm a bartender at RFC but I think it was weeks ago. Oh and nice advertisement for channel memberships by scrolling us so slow lol
