You’re the most likeable and wonderful person!! Quite frankly, I’d watch you review cornflakes!! You’re so thorough and so incredibly knowledgeable!! I think you should arrange a meet and greet because you have fans, you were my best find of 2019, I love you so much!! ❤️
Having recently acquired a 2010 SLK 280, I not only enjoyed your review, but learned a few new things about my car too. Personally, I’m thrilled with mine and the fact that you continue to love yours after long ownership, is inspiring. Great video, thank you.
The first video in a what looks like a great new channel. I posted the comment on alcoholics about your SLK because I have an SLK 350 myself. My SLK is metallic green 2005 with designer wooden interior. I love my SLK and have no intention to sale.
Just want we needed love your in-depth tours of boats but now with cars! Can’t wait to see more on here love how you go into every detail my OCD heaven 😂😂 again great work nick!
Nick I never thought you would do this. The funny thing is I’ve been waiting for you to do something like this! I bet you will create more great content and keep up the great videos! Cheers!
Good job Nick, you should be very proud of your accomplishment to own a beautiful car like that, and stunningly maintained love your new channel 🏁😎DONT forget about the Superyachts , 😂😂😂😂you are a gentleman I think that’s why you have such a great following keep up the hard work mate 🏁👍🏻
Love my cars as I run a business supporting audio and security on all cars and boats so my passion is great in business.... This merc is one of the most attractive Theo did and way ahead of its time behind the scenes as in fibre optics and the can system.... great choice of car and not surprised you’ve kept it 👍🏻
I'm thrilled to be here at the beginning of your new channel! I wish you the best of luck with it. When i first started watching you, i knew very little about boats and now i am obsessed. As for cars, when someone asks what kind of car i have, i say a white mercury suv with cute silver patterns on the tail lights. That is literally all i know about it and i have had it for several years. Oh, and the steering wheel is on the left side (i'm in the USA). Can you get me obsessed with cars, too? I doubt it, but i will watch!
Maybe start out with some cinematic footage of the car. Then go over the exterior first and then the interior after. Before you go for a drive, i think you should provide sound from the exhaust from the outside of the car. I love to watch these types of videos that have same "layout". Make sure to name the basic specs like: Size og engine HP/NM 0-60 0-?? Top speed Weight Otherwise great video, love Aquaholic and i hope Motoholic will be just as good!
Great bit of diversification Nick, now I’m not sure if anyone else spotted it but I definitely caught a glimpse of the old DB rucksack, if I’m honest I was expecting to see it tucked under the back stairs, however it was in the boot! I had an SLK for a very short time when I worked for MB back in about 2012. Subscribed👍
The similarities to my wife's GLK 350 is amazing. All the extras stuffed into that little car. I can image how that car can scoot along. The same power plant in the 350 wagon and it will get up and go.
Excellent review of this car, thanks! I can only suggest adding some sort of test (?) of the brakes, which is a pretty important component of any car as well. Looking forward to the next review!
Well Nick I for one didn't see this coming, but it's very welcome and a great review of your lovely slk. Being an early subscriber to the wonderful Aquaholic channel I fully intend to follow and support your exciting new venture. What will be next, 'watchaholic' perhaps? Having noticed on many occasion you fine choice of wristwatch, perhaps my No.1 passion, I reckon you could definately turn your hand to a few watch reviews too! All the best, Pete 👍
I have just bought an SLK 200 and I LOVE IT! I have a 91 MX5 and have also owned a Focus CC, the SLK is a fantastic marriage of the other two cars. The Focus was slightly more refined but without any real "grunt", The MX5 is real seat of the pants driving, plenty of grip and a lovely rasp out of the decat SS pipe, but after a long drive you are broken. The SLK covers both bases! Great "Smile per mile" car.
Hi Nick, love the Aquaholic videos now subscribed to both!! i think we are living the same life, I live in Torquay and own an SLK 280 as well, no boat though so perhaps not. keep up the great work mate!!
Wow! how fun to be able to film boats and cars. Would you be able to do some videos of English cars that we do not hear much of such as Lotus , TVR and include some historical manufactures like Triumph. I used to have a 65 spitfire and loved it. Thank you.
I bought a SLK 200 Auto on 55 plate 2 yrs ago. Love it! Not as many toys as yours but nice to drive, I'd love to open it up more on the motorway but I like having a clean license.
Yaaaay boats and motor cars great stuff. Lovely Merc you have there. One of my favourite ever cars is the Mercedes SL55 AMG, I would love to buy one second hand but when something goes wrong it would cost a fortune to repair so unfortunately it's just a dream right up there with Zozo 😃
Mein Slk280 hat jetzt ohne Probleme 90.000 km gelaufen. Bezin verbraucht er zwischen 8 und 13 ltr. Der Motor begeistert immer wieder. Tacho 261 GPS 253 km/h
Didn't think Nick, you were a fully qualified hairdresser? But a very nice car all the same! Great to see you look over your shoulder before you turned the wheel to the right - sports boat style! Miss the yellow jacket though!
Great car nick. I had an SLK 250 diesel with all the usual refinements, before that it was a used CLC 2.2, very nice car and most recently an ML AMG of course none of which I have any more due to mostly owning a 4 year old Grandezza so car less now. My travels from Kent to Southampton are now done in a Nissan cash of which my wife has 🥺🥺🥺🥺 but heyo. If I go to my boat alone I go in my reasonable vivaro van. Lucky me eh!
Came across this by accident Nick! Usually more at home watching you on Aquaholic but I’ve been gorging on vids about SLK’s as I’m collecting a 2006,2 owner from new, SLK 350 tomorrow and I can’t wait! Have subscribed as I enjoyed this as much as the watery ones😂 nice one!👍👏👏👏👏
Watched just about every yacht/boat review of yours and I'm sure ill be watching each one of these. The only thing I would like to see is the exhaust note from the rear of the car as well as maybe footage of it accelerating past. Oh and the fuse box gotta love the fuse box.
Love your video ... I'm looking to buy just about the same make and model as you have within a month or two. My wife was reticent until I showed her your video. The neck warmer and the individual climate control got me across the line .... many thanks . Woooope !!
Hope the channel takes off for you. How about M-heilaholics? (Miele). While idk about appliances from them in US they do have some vacuums. Which I guess are considered appliances.. but really mean the range/oven/cooktops, fridge, dishwasher..
Yes those red seat belts are identical to a MG Metro, I had a black one of those in the early 90s. Now I drive a 10 year old Mercedes which is not an SLK, but if I did not need rear seats I’d be tempted by one of these. I have a 2 seater car for fun, but that’s a Smart car so different league altogether.
You are brilliant, agree you could review anything and make it charming and interesting, so refreshingly genteel compared to so many hectic and intense reviewers. I look forward to your videos as an oasis of calm and British charm each day as an expat. You have many cool watches and should do a watchaholic as well, lots of people would love that. I will go an make a marmite and cheese sandwich now and imagine I am on Smugglers blues watches the world drift by and chatting to you. Maybe you could do a Sandwichoholic as well so we can learn more about your onboard cuisine😀
based on your own SLK review you convinced me 2 buy myself a 2010 silver SLK 350 Sport 7G Tronic with 40K kms that is in a immaculant condition Regards from Cape Town, South Africa
I absolutely love your boat reviews and think you're one of the best with those. But to be absolutely honest, there already are a lot of car reviewing channels which have been doing that for years. So for now i'd say: stick with the boats. But probably you'll eventually prove me wrong and absolutely own the car reviewing as well.
BUT if you'll be reviewing some lovely (classic) cars which aren't shown on the regular channels, i'd definitly love to watch. And excuse me for my English, it's not my mother tongue.
MOTAHOLIC Hi Nick, great video and I’m sure you’ll find many interesting cars dotted around Devon. It’s just knowing where to find them! I’m hoping to be the new owner of a Mercedes R129 Sl500 final face lift edition soon. Not many reviewed over here in the UK. If you want to then drop me a message and I’m sure you’d do a stellar video on it. Already have a Porsche 981 Boxster S, BMW 640d GC and a Toyota Land Cruiser if you wanted either of those for a video as well. Feel free to DM me on YBW forum - Somerset Jim. If not we may see you out on the water - our boat is based in Dartmouth and called Sea Esta 🙂
Subscriber 309. You actually had 298 subs when I started watching the video, but by the end of the video you had picked up another 10. Hopefully you will get 10 subs every 14 minutes and then you will be well on your way to match Aquaholic. Seriously though, nice review of the car. Will you just be reviewing the cars, or will you also be looking at repairs and maintenance? Either way, I wish you the best of British with your new channel Sir.
