Wow! Didn't realize you only had 3k subs - deserve way more. We need more honesty in the industry than "influencers" who will shill any company that will send them free equipment and repeat marketing points instead of offering genuine reviews. Best is yet to come for you!

Hockey Tutorial has done some good stuff (introduced me to skate profiles, which is huge) but you can tell they do not burn bridges. For example they buy a True SVH custom skate, which is a skate built around a mold of your foot, next level stuff, basicly a perfect fitting skate, then they have to pretend to be excited about the new CCM skates coming out.. It is a little comical to watch them try and sell it.

On point, as always. Keep on calling them out. Thanks for your honesty.

This is why you are my favorite hockey youtuber. You put so much effort in reviewing the sticks and take time testing them over a period of time to give us more accurate details. Other reviewers are insane thinking one session of hockey is enough to put the stick in the ringer. Please keep up the great content especially the humor even though your channel is so overlooked compared to these bigger names. I can't help but die with laughter every time you make a joke.

We need more influencers being honest with their reviews. What happens is a new 400$ stick releases and all the influencers buy it and make content on it. In the end they tell you it is the best stick ever and parents and kids fall for this trap. As a hockey player, i see 8 year olds having hyperlights and agents. One, it is going to break fast and they are going to cry all day about it. Two, they don't need that top end stick at that age. We need need more people like you in the hockey community to help stop this. Keep it up.

Your reviews are spot on. Anytime I have a slight doubt in something related to hockey gear, I look and see if you have a report. As a beer leaguer myself, I like to spend my hard earned money on quality, and not on something a 20 something (still lives at home) says is good.

Totally agree. Even though subjectivity plays a big role in choosing gear there's still usually a general consensus on whether or not it's good or bad. I recently picked up the FT6 pro shins and while they got good reviews I wasn't a fan. I'm not saying the good reviews weren't honest but I'm surprised that no one mentioned any of the issues I experienced (same inelastic knee strap as previous models, doesn't work well over tongues, airtech makes it feel like it's not completely on your body). The perfect setup would be the hyperlite strapping system with the FT6 shell. Ended up getting the Sherwood Rekker Legend 1. Really good protection, mobility, and straps for $40 less than other top end competitors. ...Anyways keep up the good work and for being the only relatable hockey channel!!

I recently stumbled across your channel and I really enjoy your videos. I know this is a bit off-topic but what are your thoughts on the Tacki Mac grip? I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Tacki Mac grip or the Buttendz grip and was wondering which one you prefer. I saw your video where you compared the different stick grips but unfortunately, the Tacki Mac grip wasn't one of them.

How refreshing to have found your channel! As a parent of a U11 mid level kid who’s ready to move up in stick quality & technology, your videos have been amazing! I almost bought the youth hazardous a few days ago @$200. Ugh! This wasn’t based on any advertising, but just feel of the stick. I want the best stick for him to enjoy the game the most he can. Not about the $$$ , it’s about stick performance! I’m now quickly reviewing all your sticks to educate myself better & allow him to pick between 2-3. Also letting him watch to help him understand the negatives of marketing & influencers. We do have a local store with the Alpha LX pro. Do you have any information on stick technology between the lower ages (Youth-Junior) & if they differ? He’s more of a playmaker , wrist shot player but I have been encouraging him to work on a snap shot.

I always take your reviews into account before buying sticks. I am fortunate enough to have a great hockey store in my area and been going there for years, so staff knows me and there is no BS. I am wondering if you were a bit unlucky with Bauer lately and would be interested to know what is you experience when breaking stick under warranty. Hoping to see reviews on LX2 and new rekker real soon. Appreciate your vids!

I appreciate honest reviews, but in the end it is still a personal preference. A stick with a low flex may not be for you, but for someone else it may be a great fit, for example. This is why I use reviews like yours as a guide and not gospel. I appreciate that you take your time to do a review and not just go out 1 session and make a review based on that 1 time. I play 5 mights a week in beer leagues and I would never spend $300+ on a stick. I dont care how good the stick is it will not make me a better player, just more broke!

I was at pro hockey life a year ago and a kid was at the shooting pad with his dad. He was shooting the trigger 7 pro and the hyperlite. His shot with the hyperlite was clearly way worse than his shot with the trigger. I told the dad to get the kid to try the LX pro. He tried it and shot the best with the LX Pro. The dad then asked the kid which stick he wanted and the kid goes I want the hyperlite. When the dad asked why you clearly shot better with the other 2 sticks the kid seriously said well nasher uses the hyperlite and he’s really good.

lol The "hyperlite 2" breaks so easily like by friend took a hard pass tried to one time it then bam stick gone $400 gone a lot of the NHL players I found out most still use the 1x lite with no xe taper I don't remember all but I pretty sure the 1x lite was more durable. Keep it up your content stopped me from wasting money I don't have

This is why I alway look at the mid price points to see where the high end tech blends with the low end durability. Currently still running 2 of 3 Tron (Bauer Supreme knockoffs) and have had ZERO unexpected durability issues. I'm also a goalie where composite sticks last even less time.

Last season I got a Bauer vapor 3x p92 and loved it. The cost was 179.99 so I think it was about 205 bucks and that was the first time I got a expensive stick I used it In practice also in games and played shinny a few times with it I loved it so I got 3x a few more times in different curves a p88 and also a p28 then last month I saved up an got another p92 3x for this season question she I save up for the new Bauer vapor x4 since it's the new one for this year or not

its a vicious cycle , influencer says good things about the manufacturer, get sent free stuff/money, get views then rinse and repeat

Notice Hockey T, didn't even acknowledge my question (call out) on the Hyperlite2 video and their trip to puckstop to buy the second stick they don't admit to needing. We have the chat logs for it asking someone local if they had one they could use lol

I'll be honest I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the influencers don't actually test the new sticks and they're just using old sticks dressed as the newer ones similarly how NHLers use sticks
