I recently learned that A Certain Prominent Someone in the Trade was unwilling to share information, referring to them as 'trade secrets' - even though anyone with a pair of eyes in their head could look at their work and then figure it out for themself.
I think that's both petty and insecure - so I'm going to continue to share my methods of work. I hope that this will:
a) encourage thought and experimentation within the Trade and
b) make a subtle point about 'self-confidence' and 'professionalism'.
