Listening in 2024. 🙌 This is the plug! If you was doing something and this song comes on, you just have to stop and give this song all your attention; get down with this praise song. The words, omg.. speaks volumes. I be jammin and praising!! What a blessing! 🙏♥
@j.renette609: well our parents thought their time was last era of great gospel music (we tend to have short memories in this country)and that the 90s was too worldly is what I remember, and now we're saying the same thing about our time in the 90s. Our kids are saying the same thing about their time now (and we know that some crap)and their kids will be saying the same thing while in the meantime the spiritually of gospel music will continue to be lost and losing ground unless their's a significant change made in the culture or scraped all together, and started over (like a new heaven and earth)
6-3-2024. Glory to Most High God thank God for Jesus. My Mind Made Up. I praying and I need someone to stand in agreement to bring back the choir in Jesus name Amen. Hallelujah!!!!
The Reverend Milton Brunson knew me and my sisters well and my mother cuz my mother used to support her brother I have a picture of Milton Bronson holding my son Derek my son is 32 now of course he was a baby when he was holding them
I really miss those days.. I remember being in the youth choir at Christ T, and running around the church. Those were some of the best times in my life.
MILTON BRUNSON....MY MINDS MADE UP!!!! I LOVE IT... Only bout 15 singers, live and improptu with NO DIRECTOR!!!! And the TENORS are KILLING.... listen to that clean precise vibrato....
Yo indeed not.... this sill always be classic... go listen to the 2020 remix by Kergyma Community Choir... it’s definitely 🔥🔥🔥 produced by Doobie Powell...#BANANAS 🤦🏾♂️
Sheesh this band is killing! Old school musicians know it's more important that the band sound as one than to purposefully outshine and one up eachother. You could have a band full of expert celebrity musicians put them together and they still wouldn't sound 1/4 as good as this one! All facts...
That is The late rev Milton Brunson The founder of and the creator of the Thompson community choir that started in their late 40s early 50s. Yes that was his way of saying to wrap it up he does that a lot well he used to
Though I can understand your point, take a look at how far gospel music as went. Much of what's out there is so worldly, where's the difference? God said for us to be IN the world but not OF the world. We are suppose to show a difference and the gospel music industry is following behind the world so much, how can you really see Jesus? Its not about being judgmental but rather discerning the spirits. We have to know the difference. God bless!
Who are you to say what gospel music should sound like??? Psalm 100 says: "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands." which means you can beat on some pots and pans for Jesus! I'm young & I get touched by artist like Kirk Franklin, Britt Nicole & Lacrae etc. I thank God for them! You can't pay young people to listen to Shirley Caesar. Try listening to Lacrae without that judgmental attitude, trust and believe God is using that young man, because I tear up listening to him testify via rap
