hex: "it doesn't look like me, it doesn't look like me, it's not realistic" doll: *looks exactly like them* edit: DEFINITELY get the mole tattoo!!! you can always get it redone since it's just a dot 🖤🖤🖤🖤
if i had the skills and confidence to pull it, i'd be dressing like an androgynous cartoony villain with some victorian (and steampunk) elements thrown in for good measure. i'm talking blouses, corsets, tophats, bows and ties, coats with long tails and leather boots that are at least knee-high. a fancy cane to dramatically swing around while dancing to jazzy songs would be a must as well
Not every artist like being called talented. This is a pretty common stereotype about artist, but in reality most of us practice for years to make those beautiful things. Some people, like me, don't like being called talented. It feels like we just have a magical talent, but in reality even people with natural artistic talent had to practice and work a lot. For some people it seems like you put aside all our effort and hard work. Again, not everyone feels like that. Most artist know that you have good intentions while saying that. I'm just explaining because it makes some artist frustrated.
@@lelegus7732 That’s completely understandable! As someone who’s been horse riding my whole life, being called “talented” sometimes makes me feel like all the hard work I’ve done is swept under the rug. Personally, I deem someone as talented when they’ve worked hard to be in a position where people look at that and don’t realise the amount of blood, sweat and tears :)
I would say my favorite look to wear that gets me the most stares (and NOT in the good way 😅) would be any of my lolita sets. Lolita fashion isn't exactly common around here, and unlike most of the models you see online, I'm 200 pounds and carry most of that weight in my hips and chest. It's apparently a little jarring to see such a full figured woman dressed up in such childish princessy outfits. The looks that get me the most GOOD stares are, ironically, my drag looks! Not just masculine clothes, but stomach padding to fill my hourglass and breast binding render me a very attractive man. I was blessed with naturally broad shoulders, so when my breast are bound, suit jackets and other men's clothing hangs wonderfully on my frame without any shoulder padding! Although, with how often I've been asked out while in drag, then rejected when I presented feminine, I'm not sure I like the implication that I'm more attractive being masculine despite being AFAB 😓
I have only very recently become confident enough, as an overweight female, to wear more midriff baring tops, and even some skimpier ones. I also don't wear a bra anymore. I have to admit tho, it's sometimes jarring to ME that I wear such fashion now. I am finally old enough that idgaf about other people's opinions. It only took me 33 years lol
My favorite look that always turns some heads (in a good way) is my steampunk look. I'm also pretty fully figured, my weight carries in my chest and hips, and pair that with a nice brown brocade corset, a white blouse and a brown hi-low lace trimmed and flouncy skirt with an almost mini bustle on the boot and my figure is emphasised in the best way. Alas, I can't get away with that look all the time because it's so outlandish and I don't have the confidence to flaunt it except around Halloween in public ;;; I might get looks for a good reason around Halloween but I'll get looks for a bad reason outside that. Doesn't stop me from dressing up for myself while I'm at home though! ^^
omg one time here in vegas, there were a group of lolitas i saw, and i wanted to scream and yell YESSSSSS! When I was crossdressing at work, i was inspired by lolita fashions. mostly gothic and romantic, but i never got to it. maybe it isn't late. they are just so expensive haha! but yes you do what makes you happy! it is jarring to be liked by one gender presentation because somedays you may want to dress more femme and somedays more masc. that's how i am, and people sometimes only like one or the other. im like, can you like all because im constantly floating on the gender spectrum haha
I made my Mini Me Doll by using a Ken Doll, and I gave him a Made To Move Body. All I did was re-painting his hair and eyebrows black, and his eyes brown. And did you know, Mattel made a Made To Move Ken on Wheelchair?
@@femboynation reading down this video's comments, that doesn't seem to be the case. Plus even if it is copy-paste, it still takes effort and attention from your day to respond to someone so it's all good.
@@femboynation the only time I see him copy and paste is when the comment doesn't really need a custom built response. Copy and pasting still takes effort to respond and shows appreciation.
Mini you is absolutely Glorious! The likeness is there, along with the grace, spice, and originality that makes you so unique,. Awesome, and down right fab! As for your question about favorite outfits, mine would be my bustle gowns. They're great because if someone gives me sash or a hard time as they walk by, I just turn like I'm looking out for a bus and a good wack from the bustle does the rest. ( Just kidding,) I just keep my head held High and ignore them knowing I look gorgeous.
This look is absolutely fantastic! The doll really looks like you even when you say it's not realistic. And I love the transformation scene at the end! 🖤
Your mini-me actually really looks like you, Hextian, awesome job! Love the outfit btw, the combo of masculinity and femininity is glorious - I bet that people IRL stare because they are intrigued by your style being so on point. 👌 Also the red soles made me cheer, love it. I think that getting the beauty mark tattooed is not a bad idea at all, I would go for an artist that does tattoo freckles - I believe they would be able to get you the perfect shade of dark brown for your beauty mark & avoid the blueish/greenish tint that black ink gets with time.
The part about you asking us about our fav. outfit that we are sometimes afraid to wear bc of the biggotry of some people really made me cry, yet console me at the same time, knowing I am not alone with this. Let‘s all promise that everytime we see someone stick out of the crowd due to their style, that we hype up that person via a compliment.⭐️
Yesssss that’s what i always try! I also always think that when I’m dressed “weird”, it desensitizes them and hopefully when they see another unique individual, they will just brush it off
Freckle tattoos are a thing and there are people who specialize in it!! If you go to a freckle artist I’m sure they’ll be able to tell you what will work for your beauty mark tattoo!!
I absolutely love your fashion sense and I feel like a lot of people who'd see you- would be admiring you whether it be secretly or openly. Not a lot of people have the courage to go out wearing what they want- that makes them feel gorgeous. So honestly I think it's very inspiring to see someone killing it in their own unique look. I wish more people could feel more comfortable in their own creative fashion.
Stunning like always! The resemblance is definitely there and I love that for you! You inspire me so much! Thank you as always for sharing your art with us!!!
Imagine Hextain making a Tianna from princess and the frog doll, look at the first word ( but to by me it would be everything and iconic as all of his creations are)
I just want to say that I really admire your self confidence! Wearing what makes you happy even though some people will judge you for it- it's just really cool and I'm sure it gives other people the confidence to do the same one day. :)
Yes, I often do have a narrative/story/character I am trying to embody or invoke when I dress. When I was working retail at a women's clothing store, I would wear makeup as part of the role of a successful sales associate (even though it was not a trendy/cutting edge store) because it made me feel like I fit in. Now that I'm teaching at a university, on the first day of class for a new quarter, I dress to make myself feel like I belong, so it's something fun and me yet fits in with a professional on campus. Clothing and makeup is a big factor in how many people feel; I really am enjoying this part of YouTub, where people are sharing this part of themselves in such creative ways. I intend to be that 90-year-old woman who stops a teenager to compliment their fun/funky hair and original style of dress, not run them down (I also intend to be wearing cat-ear headbands then, too!).
omg that is soo cool! I have done something slightly like that where I imagine my persona and how they would dress in certain situations and environments, but yes, clothing can be so powerful!
Caught between " I am flexing myself" and "I am humble". Hihih It's soooo adorable 🥰. Your future tattoo with tagalog baybayin will be great, please post it on instagram when you have it. 💖🇵🇭
i love how you have a specific style of art/clothes and even if the doll you're making doesn't necessarily have the same style, you always manage to keep it on brand... this for me is the absolute representation of your personal aesthetic and i am livinggg
Can we just appreciate the fact that he chose to share his talents with us. I love how honest and real he is instead of those people who just like fake talk and stay talking in the same tone. Anyway, keep up the great work HexTian! Love it! Love you!
I swear you do the best faces. They are incredible. I made my dad watch one of your videos. He's a very traditional artist with mostly oils. He'd never seen anyone use colored pencils like that before, and colored pencils were his dad's favorite medium. He was blown away by the realism you achieved, and amazed that you were not even working with a flat surface. He kept saying, "How is he doing that?!" Also, he'd never heard of worbla, so that was like life changing for him. He made me look up how to get some right after.
If you ever make a Zuko doll to go with the Azula doll. I think you should use a BTS Jin doll for that. Also you can get inspired by the Japanese version of danger look that Jin had in that music video.
im glad you gave a shoutout to the sculpt of the faces, I think they have so much great potential for customs and I love seeing people use them as bases!!
I am so tickled by your pronunciation of beret! I can’t stop giggling and I love it so much! And I would buy your mini me’s beret it you made them for humans! Fabulous job as always 😍😍😍 Also, would you consider doing a Beyonce doll?
wow this doll looks amazing!! the face repaint looks so handsome omg. even though you said it doesn't look like you, I think it really does, the doll totally has your vibe! i really loved it 🖤
I used to have those Zara boots! I got them on the website like 4 years ago but I wore them OUT so they were eventually donated. The end result is awesome mini Hex looks so cool! I want to stock up on those BTS dolls because their bodies are similar to EAH
Yes. It has been a long time since I have been waiting for HeXtian making his mini me. And didn't you mention that Toya from MyFroggyStuff made 2 mini mes of herself and Bella?
Knowing Hextian I bet good money that in the future a 4th doll will be made because there is no limit to the creativity especially in the fashion looks 💅.
I’m so happy whenever I see you’ve uploaded! Also the outfit is *to die for* EDIT: the Bayonetta tattoo is absolutely fantastic and I’m living for the ending!
It's so funny I actually have a mole under my eye. I haven't thought of it as particularly pretty or not. But if it gives you confidence and you like how it frames your face, Go for it💕. Personally would chose brown or dark brown, since you can paint it Black any time.
Have you seen the dragon prince? Aaravos is an amazing character and I think you could really do him justice. He's a startouched elf. There's also Runann an assassin and his husband Ethari. They are moon elves.
LOVE THISSS my fav part of all your videos is when you make the clothes, I love how thought out all of the outfits you make are, and you are clearly super passionate about fashion, is just so satisfying to watch! ❤️❤️
No doll will look exactly like it’s creator. That being said, your doll looks really close to how you really look when you’re all dressed up! This is def one of my favorite OOAK’s you’ve done, I love seeing artists translating themselves onto a doll!
