on my "22 model 3 I got a hansshow harness only 59$ install another 135$ to activate the 4 speakers wow huge difference more clarity. loudness an also adds the immersion!! the woofers in the doors is pretty decent amount of bass for me 👍💯😎
Confused!!!! Explain - So are the interior speakers you are talking about that are not active in the Model 3 RWD, are they active in the model 3 Dual motor AWD vehicle??? I thought you were going to say it is because of Premium connectivity, but you say they are not even physically wired in the base models. I am planning to get the newest 2023-2024 Model Y dual motor AWD in the near future. I am buying it for the winter weather, not because of audio needs. i will ask Tesla if all the speakers work in the vehicle I am looking at. Funny why they put them in and not wire them up. Anyways, thanks for the video. Taje care,
Hello! First and foremost thanks for watching the video ❄️ but yes this is only something that is prevalent in the rwd/sr+ models. Meaning any AWD/Performance models should not have this issue. This should only be a problem of the model 3 as far as I am aware. To check whenever you get your model y all you have to do is go into the settings, go to software, then hit additional vehicle information, and if your car does not say premium speakers then it does in fact have disabled speakers in the car Again I do not believe this will be an issue of any of the model Y variants. Only the model 3 RWD/SR+. Hope this helps!
@@frostieboiz Awesome. Thanks for your quick reply and information. You must have wall to wall sound now with your Tesla. Enjoy your music- don't go tone deaf- LOL. Take care
The sub itself is only about $249-$299 give or take. There’s other components as well as labor cost that made it go to $900 after tax. Making the full install that price, not the 12in sub
This video applies to any rwd model 3. I have links to cables for any year of the car in the description, did you check the other links that list to the 2021+ cars?
I’m not sure which one you’re referring to so I’ll explain both. As for the audio cable to turn on the extra speakers, I believe the cable came with a little RU-vid video to show how to install it. If not there are an ample amount of people showing the install process online. So this I was able to do by myself As for the sub in my trunk, I took it to a auto shop that’s really good at working with teslas and they were able to set everything up for me pretty easily fortunately. Hope that helps!
First off thank you for watching! As for battery life I haven’t had any additional drain. I can drive my car just as far as it’s always been able to. I’ve taken a couple of road trips since I’ve had this sub and have noticed no difference in mileage. As for warranty voiding, to my knowledge this shouldn’t void it since I don’t believe any wires were cut/spliced. It depends on how the shop you choose installs it I think. And as for the last question, now that I’ve had it for about a year now personally it’s been so good that I hope to add a second 12 inch sub here soon!
Wow! Thank you so much for the comment, this seems very exciting to me. I just got my Tesla M3 2023 in May and I was so bummed that it didn’t come with the speakers activated or anything sub. I might give this a shot, if you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get yours installed?
I understand what you mean! When I first got my car I felt like something was off with the audio as well. But now that I turned everything on I’m very pleased. I will make a new video next year probably if I’m able to get a full redone sound system in it. As for the shop, I’m over here in Central Florida and close to me is a place called tint world. They’re really good at working with teslas. Most shops are still scared to work with electric cars but not tint world. Hope that helps!
I've installed hansshow update harness $80. On the model 3 rwd 2023. I didn't go for the sub because i need the full trunk space for something else. Beside im not a big fan of sub in general.. activating the four hidden speakers in the front was enough. The awd model 3 long range dual motor.. has a hidden sub.. i belive it us hidden in the doors or something.
The awd 8" shallow sub is hidden behind the passenger taillight. You can run a 10" JL audio TW1 sub in a bandpass enclosure with a built in amp in the sub trunk without sacrificing any trunk space. JL audio also makes a rear deck stealth 10" sub specific for the model 3
Damn Boi, I'm rollin' in a '21 Model 3 Performance, dropped in a Fosgate DSP1 to send all the right freqs to the right places , and a Kicker X360 for the mids tho.
I’m on this websited called EV OFFERS and along with the cable for speaker activation, they ask if I want an extra cable setup for subwoofer output (they don’t include subwoofer just the connection to add one), did you have something like that or no? I’m thinking about activating the speakers myself, buying the sub and amp and then going to TINT WRLD to have them install it. Will they take care of everything in regards to like the subwoofer connection and whatnot. I’m basically confused if I should add that “subwoofer output” option or not because it seems you didn’t have it and TINT WRLD took care of everything just fine. Plus that option is like a 150$ more lmao
Hey! Thanks for watching ❄️ so yeah I didn’t have any components at all in order to support a sub. I didn’t do a single thing in terms of getting the sub installed. I had tint world do everything, they had all the parts necessary and the prices were no different than if I were to buy it myself. The only thing you really end up paying for is the labor really. So to answer your question I personally don’t think it’s necessary to add a sub output option. I think it’ll go a lot smoother if you use the parts they have since they can verify how well they work and also warranty them for you all at the same place. If something happens to your sub you ordered you’ll have to deal with the manufacture and not simply just going to tint world to get what you need fixed. I hope this helps!
The links for the cables are in the description. As for the sub, amp, and everything else, the shop that installed it for me had all the supplies. I never bought any of it online so I don’t exactly know where to properly purchase those things. The sub though is from JL Audio and is 12 inches in size. But as for the housing for the sub, the amp, connection cables, bass knob etc, I have no clue what brands they are or where to purchase them as everything except the sub is hidden from sight (they did a really good job hiding it all). So honestly your best bet for that is to find a shop near you that’s familiar with audio upgrades and see if they can give you a proper quote. I paid $900 for all the parts and the labor and it was done in about 2-3hrs where i did it at for reference. I’m hoping that helps ❄️
