No matter what I do I cannot do it like I can physically do it right then and there but for about a week or two even sometimes three weeks after doing more than probably 10 rows my hands swell and burn and hurt so bad every night I get woke up 5 to 10 times a night and have to be up for a good 30 minutes for it to calm down and then I can’t do hardly anything throughout the day cause I’m in so much pain it’s insane so prayers to everyone that it never gets that bad and you can continue doing what you love And number one advise listen to your body and do what you can to prevent getting worse like the stretches mentioned here

Honestly, I don’t know if she is coming into her own, trying to be funny or down right insulting and condescending to her family at times. It is a whole new Mia, that I am unsure about. I love it so much .I've always had that kind of relationship with my mom and my 16 yr daughter and I are the same . Most 16 yrs olds want nothing to do with their parents going through that stage ,but my daughter and I still do everything together. I got her into figure skating so I'd have someone to go with me . We also take a girls trip every summer to Padre Island for 2 weeks and we have a blast . So I just love seeing other girls have such close relationship with their mom. It always makes me feel so bad when I hear others saying they don't get along with their mother. Scientifically the bond between mother and daughter is the strongest bond humans can have even stronger than the spouse relationship. I just saw a thing about that and really they were so right.

@@mariananolasco2801 large companies usually don’t get crochet products ethicality. Cheap crochet is made by underpaid workers. It’s best to not support those businesses and instead buy from small businesses! that way the maker is properly paid and supported :D

@@mariananolasco2801 crochet takes a lot of time and effort it is important to support crochet artists through sites like Etsy as if you purchased a crocheted piece of clothing from somewhere like Shen or primark it is significantly cheaper than places like Etsy this is bad because the people who made it for fast fashion brands are not getting paid the correct amount for there skill and time this became a greater issue when crochet became popular

@@mariananolasco2801 hi! crochet artists are making those items by hand and by supporting them, you’re supporting fair wages and high quality work environments. crochet items you might find from places like target or shein for example are also handmade, but when sold at low prices, the pay to the actual artists that made them is so incredibly minuscule. for example, the backpack she showed may have sold for $20 at walmart (hypothetical ofc), and maybe 3 of those dollars maximum are going in the hands of the people that made them. it’s a similar conversation to fast fashion vs sustainable fashion except with crochet. or if sewing machines didn’t exist and all the clothes were hand sewn but still sold at the prices they are now. increased time & skill but insanely low compensation. i hope that clears it up! happy to answer more questions 🥰

@@mariananolasco2801 because it’s most likely made in a sweatshop by seriously underpaid workers. When crocheting a garment or even a blanket, it is so time consuming. Not to mention hard on your hands, shoulders, neck and back if youre not set up properly. I can crochet for an hour at a time at most. Can’t imagine having to crochet for a fast fashion company 10 hours a day x

Take some pictures of the things you make and post them on Etsy, it's nice to have some extra money, especially if it's from something you enjoy doing!

@@vzeimen Same for you, take some pictures and post the listings on Etsy! Nothing much to lose from doing it, other than a 20 cent fee per listing! Of course, you'd have to have a way to ship your items and print shipping labels. You can get free boxes delivered to you from USPS.

when you say a lighter hook, do you mean the weight of the hook?

@@misseselise3864 yes, sorry i should've specified! also often we grip tighter when the material is more slippery, like metal! so having something with a little bit of texture to grip the yarn, like bamboo, can also be helpful! ya just gotta figure out what it is that makes u grip ur hook with an iron fist haha

Since your comment has a lot of upvotes let me add: - The pencil grip might be easier on your wrist. So if you are using the knife grip you might want to try switching. - Take it easy. It takes time to build up muscles. Stop when you feel pain. - Even though it isn't the quickest method you might want to let your hand that holds the yarn do some more of the work, like the yarn over. This isn't usually recommended because it can slow you down, but it might take some strain off your dominant hand.

Also try the video 'the perfect granny square' by 'sirin's crochet' to get a very good looking actual square.
