Hiroyuki sawano, one of the most talented composers. He was the pianoist. They made him take his blazer off but people still didn’t know he was the composer lol. Also, the guy with the headphones that was near the computer is Kohta Yamamoto, the composer for season 4 of attack on titan.

If she loves the mix of classical and rock instruments, Japanese music is definitely going to scratch that itch more. Xenoblade and Final Fantasy 14 are two examples that are full of that sort of thing. Hell, one of the Xenoblade games (X) was composed by Sawano, but they all like to mix different musical styles. Headphones are a good bet for this stuff too because there's often panning and other stuff mixed in to really add more meaning to the music and make each instrument distinguishable in a large mix.

I'm the typical gen X nerd, the classic cool auntie. So I love reading a good book, watching good movies (alternative or auteur cinema)... and of course, some anime are essential to me. I resisted Attack on Titan because I considered it too commercial, in the same way I would resist Naruto or Dragon Ball. Error. This anime talks about deep issues, about the miseries of the human being, about our fears and resentments, about how we destroy what is really valuable in exchange for... miseries. I put it perfectly next to Ghost in the Shell, Monster, Evangelion, etc.

don't know if it happens with others but sometimes I find music that's SO good that it makes me tear up. It rarely happens and Hiroyuki Sawano's songs (HS) have managed to do that more than once. 86's (anime) ending song "Avid" by the same composer is one of those songs.
