@@PrettyGirlRock1115 oh I already did, I got diagnosed with anemia, but yeah, I take 300mg iron pills and 500mg vitamin d pills, ice is still my favorite snack tho(maybe a bit of lemon juice and a bit of tea, not a lot of tea tho just enough to flavor the ice), it's refreshing
@@aaronvancleve5483ah yes, I love going to 7-11 to get my good ol shaved ice in a bowl topped with real fruit puree. The best icee ever. You tried to sound so smart 😂
Stop it. I can’t imagine why people these days would be so unhappy coming home from work at a job where the generations before us could survive off one income are now the people who refuse to pay people enough to survive off two. If you want people to be happier after work then talk to your peers about paying them living wages. 🙄
Don’t group us all in this ignorance. Jelly not ya color boo! Why y’all gotta clutch on every topic? Is every other color got you worried? This just too much😂 I swear sometime I wish I could change my skin color just so nobody thinks I’m in on this nonsense.
I use to be an ice eater for years it was breakfast, lunch and dinner🤣I miss it but I have to fight cravens. I ended up in the hospital for 4 days had to have a blood transfusion! My hemoglobin levels was a 4 should have been around 13, I use to exercise a lot thought I was losing weight because I was exercising but the doctor said I was slowly dying and I was a walking miracle to have lasted that long, yes I have the sickle cell trait! Anemia
Omg that sounds like my story for real I was a 3 only went to ER cuz my legs was swollen they could not believe I was walking around could have died received 3 punts of blood.. Now I don't even eat ice
@@Luckyseven546 thank you so much I'm still on meds this happen to me Aug 2023. Still scary at times having to get blood transfusions and iron infusions are the worst but THANK God I went to the ER when I did and in still here..
@@darnettalewis8628 yes, I had my last iron infusion in 2018! Doctor told me I was iron deficiency and put me on iron pills I hate taking them so I started replacing them with foods that have iron in them and other nutrients! The last 5 years my level have been 12/13 hemoglobin 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿no more pills are infusion. Again God is good, we’re still here for a reason🌹🌹
This almost happened to me I used to get my blood drawn regularly, and they noticed that one of the levels in my blood was 1.21 not sure if it was my hemoglobin or my iron, they tried iron pills first, but that didn't work so they had me go in for infusions, I felt a lot better than before, had a lot of energy, wouldn't get dizzy or winded randomly. Last time I got my blood drawn was probably in July or August, and they were planning on setting up another set of infusions, before my hematologist quit, so I have to get a referral from my primary, but when I went to see her, turns out my primary also quit, so new primary, and she refused to refer me for some reason. So now I guess I'm just waiting for it to cause such a problem that I need to go to the hospital 🤷♀️ for some reason my body doesn't take in iron, even if I eat food high in iron or iron pills, I just doesn't digest it I guess?
Its a form of pica. I eat crushed ice, its just so good! Shes making the healthy version of freezer/electric ice. As a child, I saw most women in my family eat it along with corn starch and one aunt craved dirt when pregnant. So im sure it has to do with a vitamin or mineral deficiency.
I carved dirt it was so bad too... So I know it has to be minerals in it we are missing. I looked up why do I crave dirt pregnant and saw videos of villages that actually made dirt cookies and was surviving
And I ate starch to handle the dirt cravings I stayed vomiting whatever I ate. The smell of meat smelled like blood and water. Fruit tastes like candy so I definitely know our bodies are supreme when we carry. No matter how seasoned the meat was it stunk
My grandmother died from eating clay dirt. Blocked bowels. It is absolutely an iron deficiency that makes us crave ice, dirt and starch. I used to eat ice too but now I just take iron tablets.
Ice eating is a sign of anemia! I've been eating it sense I was 10 and I began fainting a lot. Turns out my hemoglobin was a 6.8 and the normal for my age at the time was 14😅 if your craving ice make sure to get your blood checked regularly!!!
MOM! baby is your sister omg I can only imagine how beautiful baby girl is! Miss my mama so much❤ Love seeing her get home from work so happy and her energy ❤️🥰
I'm glad I'm not the only one who eat bowls of snowy ice. Been through three snow cone machines in two years lol. Try freezing seltzer water and blending it. You're welcome 🤗
@@D0NCH33T0I am white and Italian and I’ve had been my favorite snack since I was little now that I’m pregnant I have to have it and my blood was tested by my obgyn and I’m not anemic either I just love me some good ice
@@emmaduron9548 There we go. Perfect example👌🏽 It's random af but it's not always some kind of sickness. Some just like it. (Not me tho cause my teeth are sensitive as fuck lol)
They say.... People who crave ice, ice chips, and/or ice like they're eating (which DOES taste great!!), suffer from being anemic. My Sister kept a mini machine in her car on her arm rest.😅😅😂
My in-laws do the same thing except they’ll also drizzle homemade syrup on it or mix in small amounts of powdered sugar. It’s why all the kids love going to see them over the summer
If you’re eating ice, check with your doctor about LOW IRON. I used to eat it in the middle of winter walking down the street in Chicago. My doctor found out and did blood work and sure enough LOW IRON.
I had food poisoning last week and nothing stayed down so I made some crushed ice for myself but it accidentally turned into snowy ice from getting carried away with blending. boy, I was so shook and satisfied! so soft!! I have the same ninja bullet like them, lol.
