So this is basically a 20 min video about how Joey built a graveyard deck for his mom. Which is obviously the biggest demonstration of love that exists.

This video is sneaky valuable. It shows the process of deckbuilding, the success, but also failures of trying to find what makes a deck tick in a condensed form. I'm currently struggling to find a good deck with Nissa, Vastwood Seer and this video gave me new strength to try again. Never give up, people! ✌

The best part of the video is where you say that you built this deck for your mom and not anybody else. I think it's great to see the process. It's also awesome that your family all plays.

This was a delight to listen to while I was goofing around trying to theorize some decks of my own (If anyone actally wonders they're all looking like total chaos atm xP) but more importantly! Joey! Super happy for you and your mom for "Tasha's Tasha deck" xD (That'll crack me up for the next couple weeks) and much respect and love for going through all of those iterations, tests and everything else to try and make the deck function for someone dear to you! It warms my heart everytime I see such a warm and bright soul, also on that note I love the whole EDHRECast thing you all do! I've been listening and watching through both new and old podcasts and just listening to you three joking around while beeing so informative brings tons of joy! Much love from Norway! (Do people still say this..?/does anyone care even >.>) I also now realize that I should've probably spaced this out or made a pragraph cut here or there... Sorry not sorry but this ain't my fort'e >.< If anyone actually read through this I'm sorry for the mess... :x But thanks for taking the time! :D

This is a sweet list! PW commanders are tricky, and a theme so broad like UB stealing doesn't help, but I like the direction you took. And your love for your mom is infectious, really made my day!

Hey I just wanted to say, I love all your videos! I don't always say it, and I'm sure there are others like me who enjoy these so much without commenting, but every deck analysis you make is so interesting to me! I often get bored by commander youtube channels, but you continuously bring so much insight to it that I look forward to each upping the average you make, and videos like this prove how your unique way of looking at things goes beyond upping the average and just is who you are. This was a long comment, but I hope you get the chance to read it, and I hope there aren't too many haters on this video ❤️

I really appreciated this video. Tasha is the card that brought me back to Magic as an adult after playing 17 years ago in school. I thought I had a great deck sorted out but I only ever really won by milling, and that wasn't what I wanted to do. It wasn't what was fun. I related so much to all the lessons you mentioned in here, and after staying up past midnight staring at a 140+ card decklist it felt like such a relief to see that I'm not the only one who found Tasha to be challenging to build. 😅 I'm definitely going to check out your final 100.

Thank you so much for this video Joey! I loved seeing the process behind this deck construction! It was so surprising to see how much similar the issues and solutions you came up with when building it was to my own deck building process with this commander. I absolutly loved seeing this. Yea it's fun to see people build decks to be as powerful as possible, but it's even more fun watching people build a deck to have fun with. That's what this format is all about, having fun. So to see you cut cards that most people would dictate that you have to play because they are "the best" cards for this strategy all in the name of having fun, i love it

Thank you for this video Joey! Besides your mom being super dope, I really enjoyed hearing your struggled building this deck. I feel like I had a very similar issue with a dimir deck of my own recently. I tried building a Zareth San deck that had all the same obstacles. The idea I had was so commander-centric, that the deck needed too many different aspects to be balanced just right for it to work the way I wanted it to. When it did, it was a ton of fun! But more often than not…it struggled. I haven’t had the energy to go back and reevaluate the deck in a while…but I feel like after this video, I might actually go back to the drawing board for it!

I love this list, thank y’all for the lovely build, but I have been making my own iterations and small changes. My biggest change was Altar of the Brood, which mills my opponents whenever a permanent enters the battlefield, and playing off of Tasha creating demons from playing others cards, it just pushes her further to potentially hit deeper cards or even help to mill out. Just a thought if y’all ever wondered about running it. :) much love you two, love the content!

Also, since you’re running mill strategies, I’d run bruvac to combo with maddening cacophony and/or traumatize (1x1) and at least one tutor (not thinking a budget version) to increase the power level of deck granting a win con.

I came to the same conclusion, different deck list but the exact same issue in my playgroup! I approached milling differently though. Instead of dedicated mill, I focused on grouphugging enemy HANDSIZE to have ppl discard cards past their maximum hand size adding in also the HANDSIZE limiters. Jin Gitaxias is an example of what I mean. Which combined my advantage portion and milling portion, making room for additional tech cards. Worked wonders for me!

Baby raccoons are also Joey-s. I've been playing theft decks for as long as I've played commander. My current commander is voltrath, and it has a lot more clones than theft. But I agree with taking the focus off the commander. Volrath is probably the best most versatile clone, but he is completely unnecessary for the deck to function
