What a blessing to be able to pick tomatoes, grapes, etc. that had fully ripened in the sun until they are at their peak! So much more nutritious and tasty. What a wonderful setting - thanks for sharing Kappadokya with us!
@@sikhabagavathsingh I grew up in South Africa, in a region where there are a lot of vineyards and fruit orchards. I miss that, now that I live in Canada, in a large city where I have to buy everything from stores, and where the fruit and vegetables never taste as they should, because they are always picked when they are not fully ripe. Enjoy your lovely tropical fruits 🙏🏼
@@susan2043 It's true, I'm also jealous from Canada of picking these fruits fresh from the vine and eating immediately. It is possible to get fairly local, good, fresh fruits (apples/pears/peaches/grapes from southern Ontario or Okanagan valley BC) but only in season, and the season is short. Come late May/early June, we'll have perfect strawberries again, so we only have to hold out for 5 months... ;-)
Salamu Aleikum Aysenur, What a wonderful video you made! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! Your mum comes from a beautiful and interesting part of Turkey. I have been to Turkey a couple of times; the last time was in April 2022. I always enjoyed the friendly people and the excellent food! Best wishes from Thailand
Turkey is one of my very favourite places to visit. I’ve stayed with a Turkish family some years ago now, in Ankara for the new year. I usually stay in the south of Turkey where it’s warmer. The food is some of the best in the world. If anyone thinks it’s all kebabs then think again. The kebabs are out of this world and completely different than these so-called takeaways . Everything is so fresh in Turkey. It’s such a big country with so much to see. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve visited. Since 1991. The people are so hospitable.
Everything was so charming about this video. The grapes looked amazing. Such a gentleman, your cousin, to give his plate to your mom. Been enjoying your videos all afternoon. Hello from rainy Oregon, USA.
Hello Melissa from a cold cloudy Istanbul morning 😊 happy to hear you are enjoying my videos. Yes this episode is one of my favorite since it’s my moms hometown and I have child memories ☺️
Lovely travelogue, thank you. The Turkish government tourist agencies should be paying you for making these videos! Watching this makes me really want to make a return trip to Türkiye. All of my time there, while living in Karamürsel, was spent along the eastern coastal areas, from Izmit to Istanbul, to Izmir to Marmaris, never having made it to the central interior, south and west. I regret that now. Really enjoyed this video.
Thank you Michael. I hope one day Turkish government and Tourism board recognize my channel if not the travel agencies :) so I can travel more. Even I as a Turk, when I visit a new city I keep wondering how much we have to discover throughout Anatolia, Turkiye. Glad to hear you enjoyed
Another amazing video, really it make my day . I can even smell the wonderful dishes you share with us. Your channel is one of my favourite on youtube, you spread positive vibes and serenity. God bless you, your family and your country.

I am so glad that I found your channel. Your videos are absolutely wonderful and you are the best ambassador for Turkey. I am amazed that the land seems so arid and yet provides such beautiful grapes and produce. Thank you again for sharing your videos we really enjoy them.
I absolutely love this one. Your whole family and the people all look so sweet and gracious! The food so amazing! I didnt know people still livein the caves...Thank you so much. I cant wait to go in first week of March even though I have heard it is cold and wet.
Thank you so much! The cave is usually part of the structure with regular old style house. The ones I showed where my mother used to grew were for storage and for yarns. Hope you enjoy your time there
I am so in love with your country, Turkey, your culture, your food. I have made some bazlama bread and menemen and it was delicious. I didn't know how so i went to youtube and learned how to make the dish and the bread. Love it. i also enjoy watching the Turkish dramas on youtube. I love you vids.
❤loving your work especially the travel part.Tasting cultural differences and historical cuisines.I am very impressed.please make more videos of your travels.❤❤❤❤
I wish I could’ve gone here instead of the open air museum. Oh well, it was too cloudy and we could not make it for the hot air balloon. I still loved it.
mashaAllah beautiful, like you walked back in time, I love how they renovated the inside of those rooms but kepted the original outside features, absolutely amazing. I love how you guys keep your traditional ways of cooking time. I'd love to see it with my own eyes.
That clayey soil seems ideal to cultivate household veggies and greens. I was stunned to see grapes growing like bushes! What a natural and colourful purple coloured grapes💓

Beautiful, Mashaa’ Allah dear Ayşenur 😘😘 I’m saddened by the Interpretter who was asking why you came back from New York!!! What he does not realize is that sooooo many Americans are moving to Turkiye for the better quality of life, Mashaa’ Allah!
I just love how auntie Elmas corrects you when you talk about “Gözleme” and she says: “Kıymalı, kıymalı!”😂 She probably understands more English than you think for sure 😅
