His combos are good not tye best alot of his moves are telegraphed and his paralyzing spit is easy to dodge calling him a combo master is praise it doesn't deserve their are hunts that involve hunting 2 of them and they can be used agenst each other by leading them both I to the same area and getting them close to each other so then use the barrlizing spit and hit each other after both are harried use a shock drap use the mega bomb barrels in combo with mini bomb barrels to set of the mega and big ones then use poison gas items on each and they end up doing most of the work for u and blunt wepons are the best to face it with if u have the explosive decision and use bomb barrels its a nasty combo

@@codystromsness2130 classic Volvidon is known to combo hunters to death it probably can't kill you with one hit, but back then, you couldn't extend your invulnerability by lying on the ground nor was there a wirefall feature and this is even without Volvidon using its paralyze spit

I can't control monster AI, literally just a clip I recorded with the Switch capture button thing (Share button?), probably like day 2 or 3 of release? I know, the lack of eating and having only 1 buddy are things to point at, but as I've said prior; I take 1 buddy or no buddy at all, I find it more fun. Likewise, this is my umpteenth Monster Hunter playthrough, and I like when the game *can* make me cart (and even fail), and so I didn't eat for most of Low Rank for that reason. That's why the description says "But Rise, if you let it, absolutely does and it's fantastic." Likewise, I *did* (About yesterday or the day before, forget which), go and record paralysis and find out the minimum and maximums (for mashing/spinning and not mashing). Para's minimum was 230 frames, but I botched the recording hard and had a ton of skipped frames, so I went with a more casual stopwatch approach and it's about 9-10 seconds mashing, 18 not. Even regardless, on the first para, the hunter was getting up as I was mashing (and got para'd again). And then hit & stunned, and the hunter got out of the stun a few frames prior to carting. I did my best, just wasn't enough to stop me carting. I probably could've mashed harder on the stun phase but I probably accepted my fate by then....

I completely fucked up my PS4 controller by doing that in world. It’s a shit mechanic in its entirety. You should only have to press one button repeatedly to get out of stun.

Couple of days ago I had Khezu ready for capture and while putting down a pitfall trap I suddenly died. No explanation what happened, I was at safe enough health to not really care, and then I died. It was like a bonk just somehow got multiple hits or something. That had me raging.

He could've gotten out earlier. The stun seemed way longer than normal considering you can reduce stun time by constantly flicking the stick left.

@@combativeThinker i think he meant to say "flicking the left stick" The right stick won't do anything, you gatta mash inputs on the left stick to get out of stun faster.

@@combativeThinker i dont know why its specifically the left. However when flicking in any other direction you do not get a sound queue. Apparently people have found out and there is even a tutorial that says flicking in the left direction helps you recover from stun faster. I always rolled my control stick so. Lol.

And that's why you equipment skills that either nullify them completely or shorten the duration

@@furionmax7824 No that's why you get buddies with negate stun/paralysis/sleep skills so they can avoid having those effects inflicted on them and they can rescue you. Save the slots for something else.
