My sister, Ghana is very cheap it all boils down to the kind of life you live. You can easily live a comfortable life from 500 to 1000 cedis (100-200) dollars in GH. Kudos though for your decision to come back home 👍

With the lizards, you could try mincing garlic and leaving them in the corners of your rooms. You could add salt to the garlic. Or leave egg shells around your home. It works. I do it in my house.

2705 Ghana cedis in British currency is about £370 a month is pretty decent. But of course she does not pay rent because she owns her home. If you pay rent then it would be the same you spend in the UK in the monthly basis!

I just returned from a very problematic trip to Ghana. Thank God we survived & made it. Fortunately you speak Twi. I must follow your videos to be better informed if we can bring ourselves to return.

Please add some basic vegetables and spices to your garden not only flowers. You can pot them too. Make some small compose at the corner of the wall and use it to grow your vegetables. You'll be surprised how much you can save on food

I Enjoy watching your videos. I always say those living in Ghana are magicians because things are very expensive and most people don't earn a quarter of the amount you are spending. I think for the grocery, the amount is reasonable but try cutting down on the electricity and the fuel. Alternatively you can try ceiling fan it consumes less energy. Enjoy your stay in Ghana.

Hi Jasmine, My having been to Accra a number of times applauding your energy. However, I don't think Ghana is that expensive. But I'm two times retired. Yes gas for the car is expensive. Good luck to you. I'll be returning in a couple of months permanently. I have a apartment in Osu.

When I came to Ghana last year I changed over to 1200 ghs before leaving Kotoka airport..and that money went so fast I ended up getting another 1000 ghs three days later..

Great and inspiring video but the prepaid got me!Just left Gh on the 27th of Feb been there since December..in my newly(3bdrm) built house..the fan is on 24/7 on 5(max) even when am on the compound cos of the hot temps and all gadgets working n running every sec but never spent such an amount on my prepaid...kinda worried for you.I hope it's a newly installed prepaid meter without arrears(past bills due to a conversion from the post-paid to prepaid) by any old tenant or something which you are being siphoned for.If it's faulty too could result in the surcharges.You might want to visit the local office and request for a new meter cos this is absurd and can really weigh in heavily on your monthly budget.Am so proud of you..you go gyrrrrllll!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

thank you for sharing your budget, I, will be moving to Ghana when the Virus and Government restrictions allow. I, am retired, and live on a set income so working out a budget is great. I, do get enough to live on here in Las Vegas, and feel that being in Ghana, my Retirement income will be just fine. People are asking me .. what the heck.. why Ghana? I, met this woman... lol... I, know, scammer.. but no.. she is not, we have been talking, video, texting for over a year... I, have called her church leader. She and I, go to the same church tho mine is in Las Vegas and hers in Accra.. but I, got her Leaders number from our Church's website and she did not know anything about me calling. I, feel she is a good, honest woman who any man would be proud to be with. Again, thank you for sharing your monthly budget.
