WHY TF LION KING IS SO HOT?? I've been an artoria simp since my day 1 in fate universe. The Lion King wasn't good for my morals and seeing the anime made me so obsessed. Fate/Grand Order: Shinsei Entaku Ryouiki
when you realize how close in terms of personality is Saber Alter and Goddess Rhongomyniad, A "Perfect" Ruler, a cold and calculating tyrant who has no regard on their people's feelings as long as their kingdom survives.
Without Avalon/Excalibur, Artoria’s aging continues. So she eventually grew to full maturity, and Rhonghonimyad eventually stopped her aging as she became a proper Divine Spirit, basically. The same thing happens with Lancer Alter too.
Just a quick Reminder that technically this isn’t the saber you guys all know. It’s an alternate version of her created because bedivere didn’t throw away the sword like saber ordered him too before she died. So instead he kept it, and this version of her manifested.
@@juota no not exactly artoria lancer was based on the what if universe where bedivere didn't return excalibur to the lady of the lake and lived on to become the lion king
Ah, I was wondering where that lore came from, I thought it was retroactively applied to Artoria Alter after the Angry Mango changed up the tempo of her drumbeat
This is more an Alternate Version of Arturia who continued to hold onto the spear well after Camlann, and wound up under the thrall of the Spear's functions. She's closer to Dust of Osiris in Melty Blood in her goal.
To me the last scene really sold the Sixth Singularity, If the rest of the round table represents the arms of Artoria, then Bedivere represents the heart of the lion.
Uh that's because as long as Excalibur hasn't been returned, Artoria will essentially be immortal. She only died when the sword was return, because Bedi held onto the sword she survived and by only having Rhongomyniad, she became the Goddess Rhongomyniad and continued to age up due to not having the sword on person. Bedivere on the other hand was able to live for centuries because he had the physical sword on him
Not really. His statement is cut off because he finishes it in his internal monologue where he corrects it saying that’s how it should be but Avalon has prevented it from being true.
It was WAY worse in the game, she didn't just blast him to the end of the room, she hit him with enough force to launch him to the outermost walls of the kingdom itself.
@@PeachDragon_ Gil calling people mongrel is more of a respect thing then anything He never calls the people of uruk mongrels for one thing He stops calling Hakuno mongrel as well after a certain point in CCC and when he does addresses them as "my mongrel" He also stops calling Artoria mongrel after Zero
Ive been praying for this too and not a holiday or summer servant version with a different class but her lancer Artoria actually with Rongo for combos and maybe some few minor sword slash like Merlin since Rongo is mostly a mide mid evil style lance for impalement and doesn’t have an edge for slashing summoning it down to strike from the skies like she for her Noble Phantasm.
Personally I’d like it if her horse was a phantasmal beast or something. Maybe a version of her that used Rhon and successfully lived a full life protecting her kingdom and it’s people. That would be a great version of her. The OG version is technically still alive and in that sense they have yet to finish her story but they could easily make the Lartoria version that isn’t Lion King a fully lived alter of her. They could jump off from the fact Rhon is the tether/pillar of the world that ties it to reality and maybe even alternate realities in a way that allows her to be summoned despite being from an alternate reality.
An ordinary knight, a chivalrous man, a normal human fought against a divine spirit, he wouldn't survived without Excalibur, but he returned the sword just like he was supposed to do, his journey ended as he finally fullfiled the king's order
Bro it’s funny in this timeline King Arthur doesn’t regret anything(while committing atrocities) while in fate zero to fate night she regrets(while trying to save people )
lion king is far from the original artoria as a person, distorted by the weight of being king, distorted to save britania, distorted by the rhongomyniad, she is no longer good or fair in that form
@@miteigi8334 ahh no its same Spoilers alert: Its just the lion king didnt die as supposed to cause one of her subordinate didnt throw the sword Excalibur in the lake cause if he do she will die.... and probably she lost some of her memory
@@soheib3159 The Lion King is an existence created by the influence of Rhongomyniad's Divinity making her a Divine Spirit, an existence above Servants. And continued traveling until she appeared out of nowhere in the Grand Order timeline and does all these things that happened in Camelot Singularity, after seeing Goetia's plans with her Clairvoyance. Artoria Lancer is just the same Artoria Pendragon but used Rhongo as the main weapon instead of Excalibur. Nothing more The Lion King already disappeared in Camelot. She never re-appeared again in the whole story.
She regains her memories yes. But that doesn't really stop what she's planning. It was already shown in the game that not only she doesn't change her mind, she's even ready for a round 2
@@miteigi8334 Yeah, but then why did returning Excalibur fix the Singularity tho ? It's stated in the end that Rhongomyniad somehow vanished when Excalibur is returned thus Lion King can't continue doing what she wants to do but I still don't know how returning Excalibur makes Rhongomyniad vanish.
@@lurihartsolace5016 Bedi did say when he activated Airgetlam that he will break the Holy Lance with it. Later on, the cutscene you can hear a sound of breaking and the Lion King went back to normal.
@@lurihartsolace5016 To add on to Bedivere "breaking the Holy Lance", Excalibur also seems to somehow counterbalance Rhongomyniad. Obviously, in Proper Human History, Artoria rarely used Rhongomyniad and relied on Excalibur, which halted her growth and kept her looking young. The Lion King is the result of Saber not passing on and only having Rhongomyniad by her side, being influenced by its Fae, divine properties, and lastly we have Artoria Lancer, who is from a timeline where she preferred Rhongomyniad over Excalibur, but still kept Excalibur by her side. Her not using Excalibur undid its growth halting, meanwhile Excalibur has kept Artoria from losing her humanity until she died at chronologically the same point as her PHH Saber self. (then there's Lancer Alter, who from what I've heard is at least theorized to have circumvented the deification through Rhongomyniad by altering herself) If Excalibur does have properties that balance out with Rhongomyniads, chances are returning Excalibur to the Lion King also had an effect on the Tower at the End of the World she was trying to summon/create. Also, in a way, aside from acquiring the Grail, the Lion King was somewhat of a singularity herself, a singularity that was resolved by returning Excalibur, and with that the greater Singularity could start vanishing, and with it the Tower of Rhongomyniad perhaps as well.
I wish there were more scenes of this version. The usual Astoria is cute but lacks majesty. This version is so cool I had her as my wallpaper first time I saw her
I would like to take a moment and share my epiphany with everyone (if no one has noticed but i haven't seen anyone talking about it) that at 1:15 if u take a look at Mordred, not only does she stands out from the rest, but she stands out from the rest because her armor looks like a damn gown. Our tomboy who would beat the shite out of anyone calling her a girl wears an armor that looks like a f***ing gown (then again she wears revealing clothes). But that's besides the point. What i want to know is if any member of the rounds ever question her weird choice of armor? Because after years of watching apocrypha and suddenly coming back here (i don't remember why), I've found myself simping for Moe and after looking and staring at her for a while i had the aforementioned epiphany. I know her helm hides anything about her but how could they not notice her weird armor? PS: I've read comments about how it was Morgan's magic that made mordred kill artoria even after she's dead and idk if this tracks with the actual legend but DC morgan is known for playing with the dead and/or demons so that's just a neat little thing i thought. Also DC morgan actually cares more about mordred and that just sucks.
The way I understand it. When Sir Bedivere refused to throw Excalibur into the lake Artoria was unable to die. As a result still being in possession of the Holy Lance Rygominiad Artoria Ascended into a divine spirit. This transformation robbed her of her humanity making the cold calculating 'savior' shown here. Only when Sir Bedivere returns Excalibur to Artoria does she remember her humanity.
1:15 anyone know the silhouettes from left to right? I think its Tristan Agravain Mordred Gawain Lancelot Gareth Kay? Percival? Bors? idk who the last one is
No that’s Goddess Rhongomaniad, basically an Inhuman Artoria (Goddess) which is created because some loyal ass knight can’t throw away her cool asf sword
It's a variant of her; Artoria is always a Saber coz most of her Heroic deed in pan human history is associated to Excalibur but due to the distortion of pan human history in this (particular) singularity this variant is created in this singularity, so yeah it's still Artoria but a different version/alternate version of herself.
@@miteigi8334 follow up question: what happened to the Excalibur when this singularity got destroyed? Will the sword remains in this artoria version?.... Sorry for so many questions I'm new to the fate lore ☺️🤣
@@c.t.a Don't worry, it's ok to have questions everybody goes to that. To answer your question, yes the Excalibur disappeared along with her. But there's nothing to worry about because the Lion King and this Bedivere came from a different timeline. They just drifted away from their own timeline and ended up in the FGO timeline, so the Excalibur of FGO timeline is on Lady of the Lake's possession which the Bedivere of this timeline successfully returned.
It's complicated, Merlin gave her a dick when she married Guinevere, and later Morgan gave her a dick to gave birth to Mordred as well, so technically she was a man at some point...
Yes, but from a timeline where Excalibur was never returned to the Lady of the Lake and so, Artoria kept living even after Battle of Camlann while keeping Rhongomyniad and due to its influence, she became the Divine Spirit Lion King after 1,500 years. Due to gaining Divinity from Rhongomyniad, one of the greatest of Mysteries and a function of the Planet, her power was immense and the movies didn't mention or show all her capabilities.
Emiya: I have come to make offerings to the king Lartoria: Directly here? Seize hi- Sir Gawain, Sir Mordred... what are you Mordred: Father you have to try this!
