I'm so glad you decided to record and share this video! A morning basket is a brilliant idea; now you've got me thinking about the ways that having a designated container for routine items can help those routines go more smoothly (what kinds of things I could put into morning baskets for myself and each of my kids, or what could go into a bedtime basket, etc). I'm always happy to see Canadian content creators out there living their best lives.

I love the idea of the color-coded inspiration notes in the jar! I’m trying to get my life back on track after a couple disastrous, chaotic years. It helps to see a morning basket routine that not focused on homeschooling, since I don’t have kids.

I am binging your videos. I first found the Bible journaling one, but my fave has been planner consumerism video. Mmhhhmmm I’m a teacher, planner addict, Bible journaler and also have anxiety. Like finding peace and calm, in life and stationary is a struggle. I have hobonichi, happy planners, tn travelers notebooks, common planner, stickers from everywhere from coffee monsters to hp to live love posh to Rong Rong - I mean on and on. I’m in my simplify and no spend phase. Thank you for your videos- really enjoying them 😊

Hi, Cat! The bag is a wonderful idea. I'm a creature of habit. I have a desk space where I spend most of my time. I changed my 'routine' significantly when I stopped working outside my home. For instance, I shower at night before bed now where I used to shower in the morning. So my morning routine starts before dawn with a one mile walk in the park. After that, it really depends on the day of the week. Monday - Friday I make my coffee and get all the computers booted up for the trading day and get busy with work. I'll listen to news programs and read blogs or watch videos that pertain to my work. If it's Saturday or Sunday, I'll have my coffee and then get into whatever was planned for the weekend. I like to have my quiet time with God after I've done the dishes at night and before I take my shower each day. I have a small tote bag ready if I need to be away from home for some time, but I generally stay at my desk if I'm not cleaning, cooking or running errands. Thanks for all the wonderful content, Cat. Some weeks ago I started to use a small box with some stationary stuff to carry here and there to planning my things but I thought it didn't work very well. Hi! I'm a homeschooling parent, and there's also a "morning basket" concept in homeschooling (although it doesn't necessarily have to be completed in the morning or contained in a basket, I guess it's just kind of a catch-all term lol), especially when teaching children of different ages or grade/ability levels. The idea basically focuses on bringing everyone together to combine quality family time and at least part of their lessons, and is usually based in "beauty and truth", but can also be tailored to fit different themes and events. This typically involves things like art, music, poetry, nature study, religious work if that suits the family's needs, etc. I'm assuming that's why RU-vid recommended this video to me, based on the title, but what's funny is that I've actually been working on (and trying but struggling to implement, if I'm being honest lol!) a kind of morning basket for myself, that's sort of a cross between a homeschooling morning basket and your morning basket that you have here, but leaning more similar to yours. Thanks so much for sharing this video, you have some great ideas that I will definitely be taking inspiration from for my own morning routine/basket, and you have an absolutely lovely vibe too!! 🥰

I would love to hear about or see your morning routine - both from a productive point of view (reading, journaling, etc) but also the care side (hair conditioning, the dry brush, etc). Hi Cat!😊 I have to tell you, the whole time I’ve been watching your videos, there’s been this little bubble of familiarity that I couldn’t quite place hanging out in the back of my mind and it just clicked on why! You remind me of my mom’s best friend who is like my aunt!😊 I think it’s so cool and in the best ways of course!😆 I am a tea person 100%, I like the occasional cup of coffee usually after dinner but they are rare. I didn’t think of myself as having a morning routine but I actually kindof do. I love spending time with God before I even get out of bed, I’ve noticed I do better throughout the day when I start my day with Him! I try to avoid scrolling on my phone but sometimes when my mind feels like chaos, scrolling is a quick and easy way to relax. I’m working on changing that habit though. I like starting my day with a cup of black tea with creamer and something light to eat. I also like to do a little journaling. Sometimes, if I get up early enough I’ll do some knitting or crocheting too!🥰 I’m a very cozy and slow, ease in to my day type of person lol Oh! And yoga! I love doing my yoga before I have anything to eat or drink!👍🏽 Those are my happy and healthy morning habits, some are still works in progress (like not scrolling when I’m stressed) but I can definitely tell what helps and what doesn’t.
