I love this song. Its always carried a weight of sadness and encouragement woven together that somehow helped me a while back. Im truly sorry for your loss and hope this song does for you what it does for me.
WOW!!! I have never heard such a unique band like this! All there songs are seem to be played by angles! So far, I'm liking them a hole lot! There songs are so, soothing. This band is awesome!
seems like their more recent albums (from Z onward) gradually lost the soulfulness their earlier work had and moved toward pop. Albums like TN fire, At Dawn, and It still moves are unique, rich, and human, and they will always be my favorite albums. I can respect their ability to evolve and change things up, but their early albums will be the most sought after years down the road. Damn good band with lots of repeatable songs.
im coming from smoking 2grams of weed a day to nothing n this band helps me out spiritually and mentally to get me back on my feet even tho i have to avoid weed for my new job it really takes u to a new place experience it peeps you'll kmow what im taking about if u listen to a full album at least good stuff

I just listened to The Tennessee Fire and At Dawn today for the first time after previously hearing the other 3 albums, and now my life is complete. The only thing that could have made those albums better was more than just like 3 guitar solos, but that probably would have taken away from the majesty of James' voice that drives those albums. MMJ=Best blues/rock band of all time (or at least of the last 30 years) and definitely the best American group currently.
@polarbearfelly I have listened to The Tennesse Fire many more times than any other, so I guess that makes it my favorite too! To lie down and listen to this album in a darkened room and disappear into the music is a cathartic experience. Simply an amazing, spiritual and musical mystery tour. No drugs needed to take that trip either.

I looked up those bands previously stated in the comment below, and they're all screaming/growling death/black metal or whatever genre you wish to call it. All music is valid because whatever a band or musician does, someone somewhere out there will enjoy it. That being said, I abhor that type of music AnotherRestlessNight mentioned. This band is great.
This is a grand little song. In fact, I love the production sound of this whole album. Makes me feel like I'm involuntarily losing consciousness ... :)
I've noticed alomst everyone commenting on MMJ loves them and haters get SMACKED the fuck down. That's just wonderful and I'm amazed. Love you guys and My Morning Jacket, it goes well with everything. Haha!
I kind of agree. "Evil Urges" is a good album, but not great. I'm all for them doing what they want, though. I just kind of hope they'll WANT to make another "silo record."
