Watch how I made my own meal planning automations. Trello does everything from picking out meals to building my shopping list. Unfortunately, I still have to cook the food.

Hey Brittany, I just discovered your channel and this is exactly what I was looking for! I’m pretty familiar with the basics of Trello but recently got into a role that requires me to improve the Trello workflows at my company and your videos are superrr helpful so, thank you so very much

Wow this is the most impressive Trello board I've ever seen! Would you consider doing a video series showing us step by step how to build our own version of this? I would love to learn how to set up a board like this, both to have this board for my life and also because I think it would really help with transferable Trello automation skills, especially how to use variables. Thanks :)

This is awesome, and strangely coincidental as I recently made my own meal planning board using Trello! What's cool is how malleable Trello is. For example, on my meal planning board, each weekday has its own list, then there are is a list for the master roster of recipes. Each of them has labels that refer to their food content (chicken, meatless, seafood, etc.), their approximate cooking time, and the appliances they use (oven, air fryer, stovetop etc.). From there I use the Dashcards powerup to collect by those labels, but it doesn't work on mobile so I love the automation where you search for onion just by making the card (so cool and so powerful!). For my recipe cards, instead of using the description, I created 2 checklists: Ingredients and Instructions. This made it super quick when finding a recipe online. Simply copy paste the lists and Trello automatically detects and separates out each line item into beautiful checklist items. From there, whenever I copy a recipe card from the master roster to a day, the ingredients checklist is copied to a shopping list card, and the name of the new checklist is the name of the recipe from which it was copied. I do, however, end up having to go through and remove the spices and such, so I was super grateful you shared the regex function in the automation (again, so cool and so powerful!). Thanks so much for sharing and congrats on the book you published all about this wonderful tool so many of us use!

That's awesome!! What a great system, i like the idea of making the instructions as a second checklist. I might have to incorporate that. Glad some tips in here were able to help!

An amazing example to show that anyone can use Trello for anything, in work and life. This is what sets it apart from the other softwares 😁 BTW, if you end the regex with /i it will be case insensitive and remove the need for Egg|egg|EGG...
