Looking forward to Metaphor, Avowed, KCD2, and Stalker2, I was typing out the rest but realized my list is really long so I'll just leave it with these 4.
For me, my most anticipated games are: 1 - Avowed 2 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 3 - Clockwork Revolution 4 - New Arc Line 5 - Flint: Treasure of Oblivion And I hope we'll have some CRPGs announced soon, the selection is a bit thin, in my opinion. The new Dragon Age has been removed from this list. The more I see of it, the more doubtful and confused I feel about the game. I'm very worried about BioWare, which has given me some of my best gaming experiences.
I wasn't aware of Alters, but just you mentioning 11bit Studios it got my attention. "This War of Mine" and the first "Frostpunk" (I don't know when I'll play the sequel) are games I'm really fond of.
1. Monster Hunter Wilds 2. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 3. Metaphor Refantazio 4. Mario & Luigi: Brothership 5. Crimson Desert 6. Constance 7. Doom: The Dark Ages 8. South of Midnight 9. Sacrifire 10. Nikoderiko And just outside of my top ten is stuff like Parcel Corps, Kyoryu, Black Finger Jet, AbyssXZero, and Phantom Blade 0.
Trpg guy here so the top 3 games i'm looking forward to: 1. Goblin slayer: another adventurer, nightmare feast 2. Metal slug tactics 3. Lost eidolon: veil of the witch
@@crestfall5331 IMO goblin slayer's party dynamics and limited item use make it perfect for a TRPG. It has DND vibes. Now whether the developers execute this is a whole nother question. I've seen some gameplay vids of the early asian release and it hasnt blown me away too much. But i love the anime so if it gets good western coverage/reviews, i'll go pick it up.
"I come from the south and so I'm curious to see how they do the setting." *Video of a giant fish monster with a woman riding it in a swamp* lol. I know what you meant I just thought it was funny juxtaposition.
Stalker 2 is the main one I am waiting for, I have been let down over and over this year with the odd pleasant surprise like Wukong but I am really hoping they don't mess this one up and they retain some of the unique feel of the first games
Not in any order: - Judas (no idea when it's actually coming out though, could be many years away) - Path of Exile 2 - Expedition 33 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 - KCD 2 - DOOM Dark Ages And many more.. A ton of great games coming out.
I think Alter is the psychological term for the other personality of a person with Multiple Personality Disorder. The Alters implies it will be more than one. My top 5: 1. KCD2 2. Stalker 2 3. Avowed 4. Clockwork Revolution 5. Wayward Realms
Avowed and Clockwork Rev both make my list. Veilguard too, but I think it's clear at this point that any critical discourse around that game is going to be subsumed by controversy (over the gameplay direction, over the art style, over the character designs).
The game I'm currently most excited for in 2024 is Menace, a sci-fi game that blends a tactical wargame with a narrative campaign and RPG mechanics. Made by Overhype Studios who previously made Battle Brothers. Also looking forward to Stalker 2, Avowed and KCD2.
My most anticipated games for the end of the year are 1. Stalker 2 2. Redacted (The Callisto Protocol Roguelike spinoff) 3. A.I Limit 4. Dragon Age The Veilguard 5. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Anticipated Games for 2025 and Beyond 1. Doom The Dark Ages 2. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire 3. Avowed 4. Killing Floor 3 5. Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
South of Midnight sounds like it could be really good if they do things right. Lots of cool stories from the region would make for great game worlds. I do hope they dial back on the choppy, stop motion style cut scene animations a little bit, though. All I can think of in the clips is that someone is in need of some PC upgrades 😂
All of the above. Plus one that I'm curious about for different reasons than most, which is GTA6. I'm curious to see if R* can still make their brand of story and contemporary world parody/sarcastic-critique, or if that's lost forever with the transformation the company went through with their latest works. To be clear, I mean that I'm not "hyped" whatsoever about the game, after the too-real-to-be-fun RDR2 (my personal opinion), and especially after I've seen what happened with GTA-online (objectively just garbage, if you actually liked single player GTA games). Rather, I'm afraid that one more of my most enjoyed video-games of the past, might gone for good, just relegated in the past. Thanks for your videos!
For me, my most anticipated is VTM Bloodlines 2, but when I say 'anticipated' I mean maybe less like a child looking forward to Christmas and more like a boxer squaring up in the ring anticipating a left hook. Same boxer stance for Dragon Age: the Veilguard, as primary an Origins fan, though I played them all. On the plus side, I'm also highly looking forward to STALKER 2, Arc New Line, Greedfall 2 oddly enough, the switch from action combat to tactical combat they're getting shit for (in complete opposite of what Bioware is getting with DA4) scratches the biggest of itches , and South of Midnight also looks really cool. Alters is not my kind of game but the concept is fascinating and also, patriotism, so 11bit studios, I'm opening the door a little. I might pick up Clockwork Revolution, though I'm not super fond of recent InXile titles, and it looks more like Bioshock-like or Dishonored-like than an RPG, at a glance. Avowed, oddly enough, doesn't do it for me, like, at all. I love RPGs and cRPGs especially, I think I played pretty much every mainstream c/RPG title and a whole lot of less-mainstream ones, and yet Pillars of Eternity I just couldn't get into, and I tried. Something about its worldbuilding repulses me. I tried. I do appreciate the cRPG revival its kickstarter, well, kickstarted.
I'm looking forward to: Gothic Remake, Metaphor Refantazio, Ys X, The First Berserker: Khazan, Crimson Desert, Phantom Blade Zero, Titan Quest 2, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon 1.0.
I think it’s insane that 4 out of 5 of those games will be on game pass! I’m personally excited for metaphor refantazio, silent hill 2, and dragon quest 3
Monster Hunter Wilds is my #1 but with no concrete release date I can't stay infinitely hyped for months. Also I just hope DA: Veilguard is good. Definitely won't be GOTY, but I just want it to be good. Greedfall II and Witchfire are also on my radar for things coming soon.
Saw trailer of Mickey 17 this week, and it looks like Alters shares the theme of exploring exo planet and cloning. Hope the game has some great stories to tell.
A made a video about new upcoming games for 2025: Mafia 4, Dragonkin The Banished, Hunger (on steam), Graft, Eriksholm The Stolen Dream and Band of Crusaders... I'm more into indies and double A games nowadays.
Most of what I'm looking forward to are sequels like Ys X and Outward 2. Then there's the remakes for Gothic 1 and Suikoden 1 and 2. Outside of those categories in most excited for Metaphor ReFantazio, Bloomtown, SacriFire, and Angeline Era.
For me in 2024 Metaphor and Dragon Quest III stand head and shoulders above all others, incredibly excited for those but I am a big big big JRPG fan so no surprises there. But peeking over into 2025, Clair Obscure Expedition 33 1000% has my attention
Thank you for the video. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has definitely piqued my interest. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
My top 6: 1) S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 2) Clockwork Revolution AND New Arc Line 3) Avowed 4) Heroes: Olden Era 5) Witchfire 6) Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 (however I'm not sure of its fate - seem to be already dead project).
KCD2, I'm curious about Avowed but both it and the veilguard are kinda too colorful for my eyes (Avowed have much better looking character tho xD). Stalker 2 looks cool but there is no way my laptop could handle that game with stable 60 fps. Otherwise I'm waiting for future Larian's projects. Maybe Greedfall 2 but only after it coming out of ea, I won't waste my time for being beta tester anymore. There is small game called Alkahest, if they manage to capture spirit of Dark Messiah, it could become GOTY for me.
For me its KCD2, STALKER 2, Gothic Remake and KOTOR Remake. A bit sad that two remakes are my most anticipates games but hey wcyd. But since KOTOR is being made by Saber Interactive who just released Space Marine 2 I am carefully optimistic about it.
besides mh wilds i love the aspect of the alters! me and my girlfriend lovee base building likes fallout shelter or mind over magic so its nice to have the alters coming soon!
I’m also mostly looking forward to avowed but I came across and indie CRPG today set in the same world as Serpent in the Staglands. It’s called Banquet of Fools. It looks really interesting and it goes into early access next week so I have my eye on it.
I am most looking forward to - Dragon Age Veilguard (I love all the DA games and DLCs and can't wait to find out what happens with Solas.) - Alters (looks very unique, I like how they are blending certain mechanics together.) - Avowed (PoE 1 adn 2 are great games, the world setting alone is enough to get me excited) - Death Stranding 2 (I absolutely loved the first one, thought it was a masterpiece, although should be considered as a piece of art rather than a video game video game... if you know what I mean. ) - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Looks liek a very polished turn based RPG with potentially interesting story)
MENACE by the Battlebrother creators, FEROCIOUS because I love jungle and dinosaur settings, Hollywood Animal - loved the demo, Rogue Waters.... because I like to be dissapointed by pirate games (How can so many studios mess up a setting? SM Pirates handed you a blueprint!)
There isn't too much I'm aware of before 2025. I'm hoping Ara: History Untold is a good Civ clone, though I'm afraid it might be getting pushed out early so it doesn't compete with Civ 7. And I'm looking forward to Marvel Rivals because the beta was fun and I'm desperate to find something to replace Overwatch for my PvP fix.
I would LOVE to look forward to South of Midnight more but their stop-motion effect messes with my eyes. Hopefully I get to see more gameplay soon that convinces me it won't make me ill. 😵💫
Oh interesting, I had a strange dizzy reaction when that came on and yeah rewatching it again, uggh. I hope thats RU-vid compression thing otherwise that looks so interesting. :/
PoE 1 & 2 being one of my favorite cRPGs, Avowed is definitely the game I am looking forward to the most, and I truly hope that it will be a great game! Also, Clockwork Revolution is looking mighty interesting, i have to say...
I'm not sure on Avowed... Part of my game enjoyment is emersion and that I involves character creation for me. All the footage I've seen is of a female main and I'm worried that I can't choose my gender. I'm not one of those guys that makes hot chick's to play lol. I like to imagine it's a version of me.
@@stefeeNRG That's what I thought... Sucks because I was wanting to carry on my Pillars of Eternity character... You know the "continuing story of ... Etc."
@@D3ATHJ3ST3R13 I understand that, but it was announced from the very beggining that you will take a role of the Inquisitor. In any case, a completely new character. The fate of the Watcher from the first two games will prob be discussed in the game though since it takes place after the events of the second game, if I am not mistaken, of course.
Yeah, I pretty much agree with the very long term. Overall, what I'm most looking forward to is Larian's next project (and Owlcat’s, for that matter-I'm curious to see if they'll reinvent themselves a bit after the storm that was BG3). If there are two studios capable of making incredible CRPGs, it's really those two. I've started to write off Obsidian (for CRPGs); I guess it's just not part of Microsoft's vision.
Mostly care about what's already out, but if i think about it really hard.. Metaphor: ReFantazio prabably since i like Persona games and it's from the same dev. Doom: The Dark Ages, again because i liked both previous ones and hopefully dev team is generally the same. Monster Hunter Wilds would be interesting to see, hope my PC can handle it. Maybe Slitterhead? Looks super jank but in this cute B-game kinda of way. Kinda inerested to check Path of Exile 2 out, not into live-services but i'm really curious to see what they did with the combat system
Biggest turn off for me are the one's that you can't create your own story... Ie. Character creation. If I can't create my own character I won't even touch it.
