This trail will require scrambling experience, a head for heights, and mountain skills over loose scree and exposed terrain. This trail should not be attempted by beginners or anyone inexperienced.
The gully is filled with shifting scree and boulders. Rock fall is a real possibility so take great care. Between the scrambles of Lord's Rake and the West Wall Traverse there is a very narrow and exposed path beside the cliffs and sudden drops. This difficult stretch will require careful concentration so allow plenty of time.
