The things I loved about Hawaii when I was there a hundred years ago we're the open air lobbies and the nightly trade winds! Pure heaven.

In the mornings, the Hawaii voyaging canoe, the Hokulea, sailed up to the beach at Aulani, several times each morning. It was fun to watch them.

Enjoying your Hawaii videos! My husband and I were there in Feb. Mornings I spent out at the pool and beach, and had a few Blue Hawaii drinks, and afternoons we traveled around the island. On the last day we spent our whole day at Aulani. We were tired from all the traveling and loved just being there! Thanks for the vlogs!

Note the Four Seasons resort hotel by the Golden Oak development near Disney in Florida- also a very luxe, beautiful property!

This video was so nostalgic, thank you! I stayed at the Four Seasons when it used to be the J.W. Marriott...its a beautiful hotel! So glad you got to MonkeyPods twice, I loved that place. And yes, ABC store is a good place to stock up on snacks and alcohol ! Hope you make it down to my favorite hotel there, the Marriott Vacation Club just down the walking path along the beach.

Yes, Jojo! You get it! We, at least I do, feel like we are somewhat along with you for the ride at Hawaii! I keep finding myself saying, my friends, Jojo & Kyle, are in Hawaii right now and sharing what you’ve experienced as though I’ve experienced. Hopefully, the hubs and I can consider Aulani for our 30th Anniversary trip in a couple years! Can’t wait to see your next adventures!

there are sooo many fun things to do in downtown waikiki! I recommend going to rainbow tower beach, waikiki beach (but it gets crowded) and a bunch of good food including a musubi cafe!

You and Kyle have convinced us that we should visit Hawaii 1 more time. We swore we would not go to Aulani because we're kind of mad at Disney. But it looks like they haven't messed with the quality of enjoyment Walt would expect. So now we'll reconsider. Thanks for all the updates and showing us the pools. You can eat steak "blue" which is pretty close to raw; you can also eat steak tartare. Finally, Monkeypod is super convenient, but everyone, try going to Roy's. It's a little farther away, but way better.

Spend some time in waikiki, go to dukes, stroll kalakaua and waikiki beach. Go around the island, east end manoa falls, Kailua beach, north shore, there's so much more to do, rent a car guys!

But don’t ever be embarrassed to explore outside the Disney bubble. There is fun and enjoyment in all kinds of places that aren’t related to Disney. That's Ling Hing Mui on the rim of your drink. It's a powder we use on candies, dry fruit and fresh fruits. Gives an extra sweet punch. Definitely should grab some powder to take home and put it on your pineapple, mangos, or apples.

ABC store is a great place to buy souvenirs for family and friends. JoJo you and Kyle need to eat outside of the resort area there is a little cheaper places to eat. Loving the vlogs.

Aulani is notoriously expensive. Meanwhile, as you discovered nearby there are loads of deals. If you get a chance take an UBER over to Waikiki Beach. All the same ABC store stuff but also grocery stores and dozens of regular and novelty restaurants. The best FREE luau most nights as the sun sets on Kuhio Beach. The Royal Hawaiian hotel is jaw dropping. The beach in Waikiki is spectacular compared to Aulani.

the four seasons used to bew the jw marriott ihilani resort; so many people lost their jobs when it became another hotel. saddened me when that happened as i have been working for marriott for nearly three decades.

If you're going to Waikiki, try a sunset drink at the Halekulani Hotel at House Without A Key. May need to reserve a table. So beautiful with Diamond Head in the background 🙂

Another great vlog JoJo! If you have a chance go see the Palace and Pearl Harbor to get some history on Hawaii. Also there is a secret beach near Aulani to see Turtles and Seal Lions. If you want to save more, you can go to Walmart or Target, get cold cuts from the deli, bread and fruit and make it a picnic. There are classes in Aulani but you have to pay. Make your own Mickey ears or Ukulele lessons. Can you find out if they still have star gazing at night? They also had tours of the resort. Can't wait for the next Vlog!

Yes, anything is expensive on Hawaii, but that is because of it being an island nation. While most things that can be produced on the island are more reasonable, most everything has to be imported and that raises the prices for most everything on the island. Even local stuff is a bit more expensive just due to the limited area on the islands to produce it. It's why fruits, veggies, milk, etc is expensive in japan as well. Any island nation will have higher prices due to that. Love this series and I am hoping to go in the next few years!!!

Raw steak is actually quite ok in some cases! For example, carpaccio is raw meat and it's quite delicious! There's a raw meat dish here in southern Brazil called Carne de Onça (or literraly translating is Cougar Meat) which is raw ground beef seasoned with onions, some cachaça, black pepper and chive. served with bread and brown mustard. Loco Moco is a CLASSIC dish in Hawai'i. Aulani has a fancy version, but if you go to a local joint, the Loco Moco is onolicious. And props to you for at least trying it!
