I love this! Way to go mama! This teaches our children that we’re not just doing this for “school” and then abandoning it (like a typical school education) but we’re teaching them how to live a life for their whole lives. This is so good! You’re an amazing mother and your house is SO beautifully decorated!
I really enjoy your videos. You seem like such a wonderful, and thoughtful mother. I hope the years you spend homeschooling your children they treasure their whole lives.
I love everything about this! Thank you for sharing, it’s so helpful to get an idea of how I can incorporate note booking into my life and our homeschooling ❤️
Hi greetings from Tamilnadu India... What kind of paper would you suggest for longevity... If we want to pass to children... I used to write a lot of these quotes n stuff... But those notebooks have paper n ink bleeding
Please help me understand how to support my child. My child has ADHD and attends a school based on the Charlotte Mason philosophy. How can I help my child concentrate in a classroom with 10 children?
Do you know what a bullet journal is? I have been using a bullet journal for several years now but I’m wondering if it would be better to use multiple different notebooks instead like you do? Is there a benefit to separate notebooks for each subject?
I love this so much. Thank you for sharing! What kind of paper does your nature notebook have, so that the colors don’t bleed to the next page? Anything specific? :)
*Me making a notebook of all the notebooks Larissa encouraged me to start* Thank you for this video! I actually have this notebooking i already do but its in my notes app on my phone haha. Definitely want to get it on paper though.
I love this! I keep a lot of these same notebooks, I’m glad you think it’s “not that many” because I still have some I’d like to add 😆 I have a garden journal and it’s not hard bound which I regret so I’ll be changing that. I also keep the same notebooks alongside my daughter.
I was just telling my husband that I need my own Book of Centuries to piece together history. I went to school in Japan and America - private and public. In all of the schools, I felt like we learned history in chucks but they were so disjointed. I have to also say that you are so right that our children will learn a love for keeping notebooks if they see us doing them as well. I am keeping a nature notebook and my 2 year old has already joined in to "draw" leaves, worms and birds. It means my notebook now has a hundred scribbles but it is precious and encouraging.
I still have a notebook of mine from the 5th grade. In public school, they had us have a creative time of notebook. We did so much journaling! We taped things in like a collage, and wrote about everything. I look back with really fond memories of that year. The notebook is very special to me for that timeframe of life. I fully believe in note booking not only as a record of shorty, but because it can bring joy.
Love this!! Always loved to journal & learning but this way more organized. Excited to try some new notebooking. Who is Laure Beth Vator? That you mentioned....could you share why she says not to keep a personal journal? I heard it is very helpful for processing!
Way to go your drawings! I’m also a beginner at nature notebooking trying to learn alongside my kids. It has been humbling, but sooo good. I love the idea of the TGB notebook and the mama doing it to. I am going to give that a go now.
Hi thanks for sharing! With your inquire from within notebook do you transfer your questions from that notebook onto this more specific notebook for example if you have a gardening question that you put in that notebook do you then transfer that over to your gardening notebook?
One of the things I do in my journals is on the inside cover page write my PO Box Address or email address with a note "$50 reward if returned: Thank you!" So much goes into our journals that can never be replaced!
This is really encouraging I love keeping a notebook to jot down things and have considered having several to separate my thoughts but never felt justified in doing so. I’m glad to know that it was actually common practice to keep several once upon a time. I’m not sure how much of a reader you are but you should consider adding a book journal to your grouping.
