I’m working at home now. I just started Gong Fu brewing, without anything to do it with. I have 2 tea cups, loose tea, water, strainer. Pour water into cup with loose tea. Give it 20 - 30 seconds pour through strainer into second cup. Then enjoy.

Invite a non-tea friend over and offer to brew tea for them, let them pick from my cabinet, and they pick the last bit of my aged Ya Bao that has developed all of these wonderful spicy notes. Or one of my Hu Xiao Yan garden yanchas. And I'm like, wow, great choices!... Are you sure you wouldn't rather have this Qimen black tea ? 😆 I find the best ways to introduce non-tea friends to gongfucha is to brew for them often, let them try lots of different teas (yes, even the nice ones), and then offer to let them brew. It's one thing to explain gongfucha to a friend, but things really start to click once they can try the process first-hand. 😁

My girlfriend used to drink coffee every morning, we've been drinking tea together every night and she made the change to drinking tea in the morning instead of coffee recently and she likes it even more. if shes in a rush she just does grandpa style with something that can take it and saves the gong fu sessions for more complicated stuff

Hi, Don, First of all, thank you for showing the tea world so entertaining and graphically, at the same time as giving us a touch of scientific method. You are my master and a reference on the subject of tea. I'm going to take this post to ask you at the same time to suggest some ideas for new videos. About the Gonfu method with your mom It has been nice and useful to see you both. Your mother represents a lot of people I know, they like tea but need a simpler approach to the world of real tea. I think the Gonfu style is the most perfected way to enjoy tea, slowly savoring the nuances of the brew while experimenting with times, temperatures and full attention rituals, in changing brews, like life itself. On many occasions, I like to read, or work with a good tea infusion while listening good music. In these occasions, I prefer to prepare tea in a thermos (MeiLeaf Brewrider :), brewing an infusion following a scheme Gonfu e.g. green tea 80ºC, 300 ml/9 g of 45 ", 1.30 " 2 ' until filling the thermos. Black 90 ºC, 30 " 1' and 1.30 " etc...I vary the times depending on the leaf and leave the rest for a final infusion with water at a higher temperature. What do you think? I like the taste of the sum of Gonfu infusions, do you think it makes sense? Is it better to infuse a constant time to drink with a thermos? Other topics/ ideas for new videos: Tea and teeth. I know that tea has bactericidal properties and protects against dental infections and cavities, however it has natural dyes that in theory could change the color of the teeth. I am introducing my wife and children to the world of real tea, however, they drink it with a lot of concern for this reason. Could you give some advice on this issue? Tea, impermanence and meditation techniques I really liked the video you made about the relationship between tea and impermanence, I like your approach to tea and life. Could you illustrate the meditation techniques you use? small secrets in your life that with more or less relationship with the Camellia infusions can help us to live a more harmonious and fuller life.
