Here’s a quick walkthrough of my new movie theater room! Definitely the coolest space in my house and a HUGE shoutout to my wife for making it possible!!!
I like the set-up, the decor, fridge, popcorn and hotdog machine, action figures. You definitely need a projector you could get a 130 inch screen in that room no problem. Projectors are pretty cheap now and they look crystal clear but they make movies look like you are in a theater. Also, a 5 speaker plus subwoofer to go with it. That's basically my set up in my garage I replaced my 85inch flat screen and I'm so much happier with the projector.
I appreciate the heads up. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. I recently redid the layout of my theater room and uploaded a video. Let me know what you think.
You need at least a 5.1 speaker system. A high-quality 5.1 speaker system is better than a low-grade atmos for sure. Once you have that high-quality 5.1 base you can always add all the other speakers slowly. Everything else is really nice I like how you have it set up. The colors all the decorations and seating definitely came out great. I bet you will find that the audio is just as important as the video and at times might be more exciting than what you’re actually watching on movie. Get some I 110% guarantee that you will never regret it!👍🏼
The fact that i immediately recognized the Stab poster from the scream movies just tickled me. The blockbuster stuff is super nostalgic and just brings back wonderful memories
@@michael_weer ooh I am going to have to go find that video on your channel. I collect Blockbuster stuff. Love to see that people still have a place in their hearts for it!
I'd prefer a normal tv aswell over an projector. We have 2 tv area's in our home. One is 65 inch tv. Nice setup. I love it. Ever seen Chucky? Think about that when you talk about evil kermit 😂😅😅😅
Love the space you have 👍 Might I recommend a 135 inch projector screen with projector? And a Dolby Atmos DTSx set up? You have an amazing start to that room 👏👏👏 By the way I was a district supervisor for Blockbuster and worked there for 15 years ☺️ I miss that job 😪
Thanks so much! The Dolby Atmos sounds like a great idea! I considered the projector before purchasing the the 85 inch TV. A good projection system costs a lot of money and if you get it wrong you are stuck with a very expensive annoyance. It’s so cool that you worked for Blockbuster! Are you still doing anything related to movies?
Hey brother, I’m glad we shared the same naustalgia of seeing Lost in space in the theater. It was a great experience for me as well when I was a teenager. Congrats on owning an awesome home theater.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you got to see Lost In Space in a Theater! I hope you get a chance to check out more of my content! I’ve got a tour of the last Blockbuster on my channel that you might like!
Video randomly showed up on the feed. Picture of a Blockbuster towel/blanket wrapped over the back row seat haha. I've fond memories from back in the day going to Blockbusters movie rental store every week to rent out movies 🎬
@@BidwellFog I still haven’t sat down to watch the 4K yet. I picked it up last year but haven’t found the time yet. I really want to do a deep dive. Sink my teeth into it.
@michael_weer Thank You Just Made My Day Cause I Just Order 3 Riser From Them Last Week And Couldn't Find Anyone On RU-vid With Them or A Review Of Them Thanks Again Your Set Great
@@michael_weer lol honestly I have to many but I am a horror fan and avengers fanatic, I'd say the first spiderman, I was 8 and still remember being at the theater with my parents. Lol good times
Well done! I’m glad I saw this in my feed. RU-vid must know I’m looking for inspiration for my hubby’s man cave. You both have similar tastes in collectibles! Thanks for sharing 💜
If I had a movie theater in my house, I'd have arcade games and a proper concession stand, complete with popcorn maker, soda fountain, candy dispenser, and a cheese pump for nachos
Hey there’s no reason you can’t make that happen! Dream big. I’ve got a lot of that stuff in my basement. I would go with the arcade machines but they take up too much space and I just use my consoles. I really want a pinball machine. . .
No problem. I actually got them from my local Walmart. Altogether they cost me around 100 dollars but were well worth it. They are great quality and came in good condition.
I believe my wife found it for me on Etsy. Not sure where she got the blanket. I took a trip to the last blockbuster recently and made a video of it. I recommend it if you’re interested in blockbuster stuff.
That’s ok. It was a big part of my childhood so it’s more for me than anyone else. I appreciate you watching my video. I have a follow up video where I redid the entire layout that I’d invite you to check out.
Movies are 50% visuals and 50% audio and there are occasions when the audio out does the visuals. Doesn't your beautiful home theater room deserve some proper speakers.
If there is one thing I wish I didn’t forget when filming this video it’s showing people my speaker system. Thanks for being kind. Most people are dicks when telling me I don’t have a sound system. I hope you check out more videos on my channel!
@@michael_weer RU-vid algorithm just recommended this video again to me 😁 You got a lovely massive TV, you definitely got me on the visuals and with you having such a large Blu-ray collection, if you was to get yourself a little budget AVR even though I've got a high-end Dolby Atmos setup, when watching movies as far as the audio side of things are concerned, you'd still out do me.. all because you've got lossless audio coming from your Blu-ray! What I'm trying to say, with you having such a large Blu-ray collection and a massive TV, you're 90% there from being in movie heaven. BTW Love Your Enthusiasm! You actually should be a lot bigger than you are. If you ou need any audio advice I'd be happy to help... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xvdqI5qZa6g.html
Again, I appreciate the kind words! I have a plan to get a full surround sound system in 2023 along with completely changing my theatre room setup. When that happens I’ll make a new video I promise! It’s cool that the algorithm put this video back in your feed. Unfortunately I think the algorithm works against smaller creators and even tho I’ve been consistent in posting content over the past year and a half I’m not seeing a lot of growth. I’ve had better luck on TilTok lately.
