Parenting win! I love seeing young kids listening to rock and metal, they are such great genres for telling deep stories and meshing the music to help tell them. Keep it up!
We used to go see Pantera at a club in the 80s called The Ranch but had different singer. Probably saw them 50+ times on Friday and Saturday nights once or twice a month back then. Dimebag was called Diamond Darrell then, I still have a pick he gave me. Dime and his brother Vinnie Paul, Drums, were really nice guys. Spoke with them many times and drank with them some. They always put on a great show and always had a great time! RIP Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott :(
@@EzzieK You are welcome....search for early Pantera band or 1982-1988 Pantera band. There are a few early videos of them but not best quality. The Abbott brothers went on to form Damageplan, while Anselmo continued work on several side projects, including Down, which Brown joined as well. On December 8, 2004, Darrell was shot and killed on stage by a mentally unstable fan during a Damageplan concert in Columbus, Ohio. Vinnie Paul went on to form Hellyeah after his brother's death, and died of heart failure in 2018. Darrell was murdered the same date as John Lennon was murdered, December 8, 1980.
Great story, bro I saw Pantera on there first tour theycame here early 80s,, and I've seen them maybe 10 times over the years, I miss them so much, they were so incredible on stage, Dimebag was amazing, we were lucky to see him and Vinny ....their so missed R I P Vinnie and dime bag🤟🤟🎸🎸🎸🎸
Pantera: Dommination, Live Moscow 1991.... Dimebag the guitarist, who was murdered onstage, is looked at by many as one of the greatest guitar players ever. Eddie Van Halen laid one of his prized guitars in his casket to be buried with him.
Dimebag Daryl was an incredible guitarist he might have not necessarily been that musically trained when it came to music theory but he knew what he was doing by listening.
I absolutely agree, you ate spot on. Dimebag proberbly in general was not so traumed theoretically, though still very much aware of all the aspects of exactly hos to nail the right groove and feeling, and was and absolute natural musical and artistic talent. So giftet to balance his compositions artistically and tecnically, along with a lot of variation in the ways he plays, and shifts between more and less aggression and more silent parts. Also, the shifts in rythms and tempo. In addition to that, he also was a true original in his choise of notes and exactly that talent gave such a great power and feeling and uniqueness to the songs of the band 🙂🙂🎸🎶🎵.

Why not do the studio version of Domination? I know everybody loves that live version in Moscow, but it doesn't do justice to the strength of Anselmo's vocals.
I love your reactions, cause its so cool to see a little kid into metal. If you are getting into metal, than you definitely need to listen to some Pantera, cause they were a very big metal band in the 90's.
The guitar player, dimebag darrell is one of the best guitar players of all time. He is amazing. If you want to hear an amazing solo of his, then check out floods.
I would love for you to listen to more Pantera. Please be careful though. A lot of their music is not child friendly. Unfortunately every song I can think of has some bad language that you may or may not care if your child hears. I think No Good(Attack the Radical) may be kid friendly and it has a positive message.
@@firdaussembilan9564 The Load and Re-Load albums probably weren't their best work or at the very least isn't as representative of a "typical" Metallica song. Though as I look though the channel and what videos they've done, hitting something that explores a different side of Metallica might be a good idea. At least it's not from the St Anger album, though I think if they tried to re-record it and mostly get rid of those flat sounding snares it would be a lot more accepted. I do appreciate they tried something different even if it didn't work out for most people.
fun fact: when the Dallas Stars hockey team won the stanley cup in 1999, they all went and partied at Vinnie Paul's (the drummer from pantera and brother of the guitarist Dimebag). at 5AM in the morning one of the players tried to toss the stanley cup off his balcony into the pool and dented it up. btw it has a few curse words i think, but "Living through me" by Pantera is the most brutal riffs of all time
Dimebag Darrell Abbott ( RIP) lead guitarist was known as the one of the best guitarist in metal history. Also his brother Vinnie Paul Abbott (RIP) the drummer one of the best drummers in this genre. Every album they put out was a masterpiece. Saw Hellyeah when Vinnie was still with us. Met the band in Baltimore. Nicest, most humble person I’ve ever met. He took time to talk with my son and me. Pure class.
Though not often their most popular songs i think that Pantera's soulful emotional songs are some if their best. If you really like this one you should check out my favorite which is "Hollow"

''Dimebag Darrel and Vinnie Paul'' must be proud of this mother and daughter, especially when the girl laughs about the sharp screams of younger Phil Anselmo at the end this old video... I laughed a lot too😂 The ''Live version in 1997'' of this song is a bit serious than the videoclip for sure.

The song is about someone who bottled up their emotions (after losing a loved one) out of some sense of pride and strength, but is realizing the emotions have to be let out eventually. Earlier on they say they didn’t cry, but later on admit they should have. I know the feeling well. I think the fluctuations in the tempo and heaviness of the music/singing replicate different stages of grief as well as different emotions. I think they unlock their doors and pass the cemetery gates in the hopes their loved one will come back into their house/life.
Great video,I like that you are listening to different music.I think you might enjoy starting with earlier metal,,hard rock and check out where we started going heavier,so I would suggest Black Sabbath. They are widely considered to be the grandfathers of metal. I however will just sit back and enjoy your musical journey together. whatever you like and want to watch I will watch with you.
Vulgar Display of Power is what you need to listen to. It’s probably their best record. I don’t know the minimum age limit on it is. But it will be strong on your ears. Maybe warp you for life.
