Hwasa 😍😍😍 she really established her own beauty standard in kpop..going against the very slender, fair-skinned, narrow face-shaped kpop standards, SHE IS HAAAWWWTTT!!! And her voice? 😍
I often think about the similarities between BTS and MMM. Both teams have long been maintaining strong bondage between members, both teams have saint-level-patient oldests(Jin and Solar, and this means a lot to Korean culture), and all members from both actively participate in song making process. And most of all, both teams have never released single mediocre song. Ever!
Mamamoo definitely my ultimate girl group. Vocal queens. And yes Hwasa my bias too! Moonbyul is my wrecker though. That seems to be my pattern lol, vocal bias and rapper bias wrecker.
Hwasa is... I don't know how to finish the sentence 😆 I am also very Hwasa-sexual I guess, although they all wreck me at one point or another! Moonbyul especially 🥵 I'm not a moomoo per se as I don't have the stamina to be a multi-stan, but I adore Mamamoo. They're older than the typical gg, so they have that mature edge, but they're also quirky and hilarious. And so hard working! I recommend their solo stuff too, especially Hwasa's as she's seems to be your bias for now 😉 Her solo album María--her baptismal name--is amazing but I also like her earlier single, Twit.
I’m not that deep into mamamoo but my bias is definitely moonbyul rn (she’s friends with Jin) I love her energy, but I can’t stop looking at hwasa, definitely hwasa-sexual too 😩
👍🙌♥️ Laura you made my day, so glad you’re reacting to my favorite girl group especially I’m a big and mean a big fan of Hwasa, she can do no wrong in my eyes 👀😘
no two of mamamoo's songs are ever really the same genre and i can't believe they're still managing that even after 7 years... there are a lot of similarities between various songs in various ways, such as "egotistic" and "aya" both covering dealing with breakups and also sounding a bit similar structurally, or "piano man" and "decalcomanie" both hitting jazz quite solidly, but there are quite a few differences even then and quite a lot of their music is about both female empowerment and self-empowerment (unless it falls into their 'crack' category, which is just fun stuff to be fun stuff). "hip" is a huge example of that while also being a diss track aimed at tabloid media and haters in general. the lyrics are reminding people that they're perfect, 'hip', just as they are as long as they're happy with what they're doing and telling them to just ignore the snide comments of haters and such because those people themselves aren't happy with what they're doing and think tearing others down will help... somehow. while also pointing out to said haters that they're too obsessed with other people that they can't (and shouldn't) control and to step back and try to focus on themselves (especially with hwasa's line about 'there's only one you in the world, why are you spitting on your own face'. she revisits this in her song "maria") they also are telling women that they can do whatever they set their minds to, that they're at least just as good as men... if you look at the various outfits they're wearing, each one is a different role, something the members think they may have done without mamamoo (that's what the whole universe thing is. universes 2, 3 and 4 are 'what if mamamoo were not mamamoo') and many of those careers chosen (esp by moonbyul) are typically male-dominated solar (the blonde here) was a boxer, a princess and a rock star moonbyul (you were right when you asked) was a choreographer, a film/music video director and a music label ceo (funny how all her roles also involved music) wheein (blue hair) was an artist/painter, an environmental activist and an indie musician hwasa was a musical actress (very cabaret), a mother and the president of a country hwasa's mother role was partially to try and remind everyone that motherhood is a full-time job of its own and the women doing it should be just as celebrated as female ceos or presidents are. it's also partially because she really wants to be a mom at least two of the universes also follow up the idea mamamoo has that they were destined to meet and become friends even if they didn't ever become mamamoo (it helps that wheein and hwasa have been friends since middle school). it's not easy to see since it happens so quickly in the mv, but is quite obvious both in the behind the scenes and in a teaser for the album, but princess solar is running around in the background of activist wheein being filmed by director moonbyul and mother hwasa joins them all briefly for a photo op. and also, president hwasa is reading a newspaper with an article about rock star solar, who is under ceo moonbyul's label and indie artist wheein had sent a demo tape to said label (you can see wheein's demo tape on the table but don't know that's what it is unless watched the teasers)
Oh, I feel you. I've always been straight. But if any of Mamamoo asked me out, I'd say yes in a heartbeat (yes, I can't decide my bias lol. It started with Moonbyul, but eventually they all grew on me haha). I am constantly thirsting on them. It absolutely doesn't help that they've been feeling themselves and getting even more attractive. I didn't even know that was possible.
Yay for more Mamamoo. We obviously have the same bias. Hwasa is my ultimate bias actualy. Followed by Jiwoo from Kard and RM pretty much tied for second, but as much as I love them, Hwasa still quite a bit ahead of them for me.
@@fandomtherapist9310 Thanks. You haven't seen Kard yet though. I know you got one of the memebrs on your list, BM. If the group's not on there yet I suggest their song Gunshot. A song the guys wrote (they are a co-ed group, 2 guys, 2 girls) about verbal abuse amd hateful comments. No rush though.
I haven’t seen them yet but I have heard at least two of their songs cause one of my clients loved them, so excited to finally put faces to the voices!
Hi , I love your reaction . I love hwasa too If you dont mind to reaction mamamoo live performance I would lime to recommend " Mamamoo in MAMA 2018 " Thank you very much
"aya" manages to mix so many disparate elements into one oddly cohesive whole (actually something mamamoo loves to show with themselves, focusing on each member's individuality and then showing just how well they work together as a group). it's got moroccan, malaysian and korean elements throughout, at minimum (people seem to pick up new things with each rewatching) and the dance break at the end is brazilian funk and incorporates a few african dance moves one frequent commenter under mmm reactions likes to point out that the mv almost seems like a 1001 arabian nights retelling involving things such as solar's chinese/korean ghost story and byul's korean archer also, solar purposefully did the unibrow without telling anybody else about it or asking permission... just asked her stylist to give her one as an homage to frida kahlo she'd done somewhat similar with her solo song (and solo debut) "spit it out", where she intended to shave her head to show her raw, naked self... this one she had bounced off various staff and even one of the company's ceos. the ceo said the same thing he always says when these women want to express their creativity, which is basically "if that's what you want to do, go for it". while the rest of the staff tried to stop her and eventually convinced her to use a bald cap for her mv instead of actually going bald. that's why she didn't mention it this time... she didn't want anyone to try and stop her in korean, 'aya' is basically an exclamation of pain... and the whole song is talking about getting rid of a bad relationship ("egotistic" has a similar vibe, as mentioned, but also approaches things quite differently. and is very much more aggressive in its message) i definitely suggest checking out their song "dingga", which was a pre-release for the album "aya" was on. it's very much a different vibe from all the others you've checked out so far, sound happy and upbeat while being a pandemic anthem about missing being able to just go out and be dumb with your friends
This is why I'm a multi-stan. My current bias list sits at: BTS - JK (ult), V Dreamcatcher - Siyeon Enhypen - Jay, Niki Exo - Lay, Chanyeol Got7 - Jackson Mamamoo - Hwasa, Wheenin Monsta X - I.M., Jooheon NCT - Yuta (TBC) Stray Kids - Felix, Hyunjin TXT - Yeonjun
LAY!!! Oh my god...when I saw him in Jason Derulo’s shut up and dance a couple months ago...in that red suit...I nearly lost my shit 😭 And NIKI!!! My tiny baby magic dancer!!! I watched I-Land earlier this year and have yet to watch their mv’s 😱😱😱 thinking that is a must for next week... 🤔
I am also someone who likes male artists more. And my only favourite female group is Mamamoo. My bias is Moonbyul. I got into Mamamoo because of Moonbyul's voice. Also I don't make any claims because I am pretty new to kpop and know a few groups only.
Definitely love all of their voices! I’m enjoying BlackPink though not quite as much as Mamamoo (though Rose’s voice is 😲). Have you ever listened to any of IU’s music?!?
Mamamoo lured me in with their music and trapped me with their personalities, amazing bond, and role model inspiration. I am moonbyul bias (I was trapped by her voice and love her personality) I'm trash for all of them tho tbh
Honestly the best introduction has been recommended by the fellow moos (purple hawk's intro) but you really get to dive into their personalities with either compilations (which we have plenty to recommend as you go) or shows ! Thank you for asking! Not to overwhelm but it's a great starting point ! We are so excited to join you on this journey!
Armymooooos unite! In my books, the best groups are BTS and MAMAMOO and they rule my universe. Personal opinion, don’t hurt me. 😪❤️ This obviously doesn’t include previous gens cause we gotta respect the LEGENDS that made kpop. 🥰
Can you react to twice! I recommend their new song Alcohol free or I can’t stop me. They are a nine member group so it might be intimidating but trust me you won’t regret it ☺️💜
Hi. I'm K.B. and I am Hwasa Sexual as well.. Actually I am torn about liking her and not liking her. She looks like my cousin that is not one of the most favorite person in my life, and then Hwasa has this raw sexualuty and pull that make any straight woman question herself, and I'm here looking at her and like damn girl... How you doing?!?! 🔥🥵 If V has a "Smooth LiKe Butter" voice, Hwasa's voice is like a warm honey drizzeled on top of a oven baked croissant with melted butter, and you are eating it while sitting home on a cold winter snowy day, sipping hot coco, wrapped in a blanket, petting your cat named velvet. She is like a panther or a tiger. I swear she purrs or grows like one. I'm expecting her to just pounce out of the TV one of these videos. And moves like one. Like she is hunting a pray and about to come and jump on you... (You can tell I like cats! 🤣😂🤣😂) She has a beautiful son that I think you would really love if you have not already heard of, and will REALLY relate to. I believe it is called LMM. It is very soulful and you can really hear her beautiful voice. It actually made me cry. When you hear it, you will know why. BTW. In my country that I was born (IRAN) back in the days, the girls did not tweez their eyebrows until they got married. They cleaned up their uni-brows and any facial and body hair for their marriage! It showcased their innocent and untouched beauty 🤣😂 And I believe the flute is called Ney or Nai in Farsi. (In my language) I am not sure what is called in Arabic). Also in my culture, if someone dreams about loosing teeth or tooth, they are dreaming about death. So I am not sure if this is any way related to the MV? I LOVE Mamamoo.. Black Pink is really good and talented, but they do not have the same rawness/umph as Mamamoo. I'm a die hard fan of 2NE1, but since they disbanded, I had a hard time relating to another girl group. All their songs make me want to go and run, and I HATE running! 🤣😂
@@fandomtherapist9310 Oh wow.. Must be scary!! I do too. Mine actually have come true. I do have some prophetic dreams, about earth quakes, Tsunamis, and accidents and airplane crashes. I dreamt about JFK Jr.'s death the night that he died. Not the actual death, but the dream was symbolic, and had the image of water, and me standing on top of the capital building under water. And the sky was dark and in the distance the sky was dark and maroon and yellow and black with thunder and lightning and all you could see was water. And I was standing bare foot above the water and under my feet was the domb of the Capital building sticking out a little bit out of the water.. When I heard the next morning of his air plain missing, I knew he was gone. I dreamt about the Tsunamis in Japan, and the earth quack in Itally, and I dreamt that all my teeth fell and the next day a city in my country had vanished due to an earth quack, and the earth opened up and swallowed the whole city down. Picese people have that in commen.. Suga is also Pisces..
