Oh I know 🤦♂️ stationary is a hindrance 😂 said ages back, but think now is hitting hard. Just work, applications, interviews, agency bits.. doesn’t give me the time to move about. Have to see how it goes!
Trip? I went for appointment in London. Was there and back in 6hr 😂 dogs ok to be alone during work time, they really don’t mind. He sleeps all the time as older anyhow lol. Basically home most of the year so far.. he’s fed up of me as likes to nap and I’m noisy being home! 😂 gets up wonders off to bedroom end! Well, may reduce the frequency of blog a little if people still want to see bits. But weekly is much effort with less thank 1k views currently. Have to see I guess
While trying to finish the works, a vanishing tradesman. I’ve been very stuck in Marina. It’s a home, base near work. Now in current situations, I’m just slow getting things done. When life is lined up again, sure, plan to do some moving about. Just to “unfinished” currently lol. Watch this space.. as may well be big life change any week
It takes time to build up an online viewership, (so to speak). Have you thought of perhaps having seperate channels for the history content and the narrowboat stuff? At the moment the title is 'Historic Hospitality', which might not attract the narrowboat viewers. Also there must be some interesting canals around Manchester - why not do some short cruises etc? I think both aspects are interesting - maybe having two channels would multiply your viewers? I feel you are not really giving yourself a chance - having had online shops for some years, I know that sales at the beginning bore no resemblance to sales at the end, lol. It takes time for people to find your content, and it all builds up as the more videos available, the more people can access them etc. Best of luck anyway!
It’s kinda the opposite lol. I started with 30k views, to 8k to 4k to 2.5k down to now 1.5. - 900 odd: sad thing is.. for me.. I don’t move 🤷🏻♂️ but at start, this wasn’t set up as boat Chanel. Just a general vlog and boat features heavily. Always said would be concentrating more on history / hospitality. Viewers going down I expected, just not so rapidly and immediately 😂
Hi, don’t give up, maybe give yourself a name that reflects your vlogs overall. I had to change my name once a couple of years ago, to incorporate everything. Such as - such in such adventures… the life of…a bit of everything from a marina…. Just some thoughts.
Well my boat antics were always going to be a small part really. Other things were the aim. Just took longer to get them out than hoped. Life up in the air and all 😔 regular viewers know the videos, names as such to reflect boat leaning vlog lol. Last 2-3, views terrible. With so much to do them.. started feeling bit pointless! But this video now has near double in one eve amount of views. People say keep. So looks like may do.. just not be weekly. As I’m boring and don’t go anywhere on the bloody thing 😂 least yet. Massive life changes afoot
@@HistoricHospitality the more comments you get boosts your viewings, it’s putting it out there. RU-vid has strange ways with their algorithms. My thought on a bit of everything or life from a marina covers everything. You live, put together vlogs, work from, etc etc. anyway just thoughts. But still you do what you have to do, but don’t give up. 😁
Well, am in middle of Pankhurst, canal, William morris history docs. But boat videos views getting lesser each week 😂 so may well end up doing less than weekly on them. Probably 2 weekly or monthly. Be more interest in them then
Why don’t you just do a video a week and have a specific day that you release, maybe you could do a series of videos about local canal walks, say from yours down to the Etihad complex, and then yours the other etc
Well, have done the weekly one. Announced a 2 week gap before as I got seriously busy lol. With not going anywhere, my content can get limited. Said from beginning on boat front. To Kate series is seriously more time consuming lol. Took me near 3 months to do afternoon tea doc 😂 . Did plan to do some based on canals. Tested with small mini feature of the canal boat, so time and experiments with all that! Have to see 🫣 best avoid there a. Arch day.. bad enough when they all come out on this marina 😂
Aww, you can do it. Finish up bathroom & you’ll feel much better. I would help but I’m not good at fixing & remodeling. I’m better at cleaning up messes 😜 & having a cocktail 🍸

Maybe your historical vlogs are a little bit dry for some people. You do a great vlog on the history and I'm sure a lot of work went into them. You probably lived in that era in a previous life, that's why it draws you in. In Canada we had Heritage Minutes, a lot of info in one minute about Canada and I think the house hippo was one of those minutes. Hard to believe people actually thought we have tiny house hippos. Maybe take a course on how to drive a narrowboat and vlog it, then get friends and rent one for a day or two for experience. I spent a great deal of my life on the water in Ontario amongst the 30,000 islands of Georgian Bay, open water, huge waves to boat surf and beaches. Anyway keep up the good work I do enjoy the vlogs. If you're interested, look up Pointe Au Baril lighthouse Ontario, past the lighthouse, that was my playground.
Sadly with a boat needing works and my career up in the air.. boat related activities will be lesser! Plus can’t go travelling like many as I need to be based. Knew that from start anyhow. All be a see what comes going forward. History things were always the aim for the Chanel lol. Boat even in my vlog isn’t its main subject, never was meant to be. Just interesting side note 😂 but so much to do with it.. becomes larger segment.
Forget the blogs until you get your life together. Your numbers are down because many viewers expect you to be narrow boating. If you’re not moving, i recommend that you acquire a dependable source of income. Taking videos and editing them take up a lot of precious time, which you might be able to use more efficiently. Good luck with your life.
You’ve not watched from start I assume with this comment? Just some key points 1: I HAD dependable income source, I’m hotel manager. Had to leave job recently due to business differences. 2: I’m currently working for an agency, so select when I work. RU-vid is in no way an income source for me. It’s pence 😂 3: have money in bank to sustain me several years if wanted to sleep till then 😂 4: this Chanel wasn’t (and pointed out regularly) set up as a diehard narrowboat one, it’s a video diary where I happened to buy a boat lol. It was always mainly about history and hospitality 👍only issue is, like any “product”, if it isn’t required, you stop making it. People always say keep it, we like it, but I determine from a sense aspect, if views so low on vlog now.. is it worth the effort to keep it going. So in my style, I ask the people who view what they like and gain a balanced answer from them. As I’m all open and show things as they are 🤷♂️ so not quite as some may think.. just is it something to be arsed with if people have stopped watching 😂😂😂
I was here for the beard originally 😂but stayed because of the narrow boat bits. I don’t really enjoy the hospitality stuff as much sorry.🙂why don’t you do two vlogs if you have the time. Have you watched Narrow Escapes on channel 4 it’s brill 👋
Argh. Hospitality was always the overall aim for me. Boat stuff a sideline within! But the boat based videos not getting views did have. So may just be less frequent. Totally missed the tv thing.. had loads on 😂

I just find the whole "premier" stuff annoying .I do think that you are a bit too impulsive but I know that you love Parsley.
