My neighbors almost pressed the panic button. We'd only been in the neighborhood a few months, and there I was building a cemetery in August!
Check out my DIY cemetery - I'll show you how I made these easy but creepy and realistic tombstones!

Would you please show how you made the guardian angel tombstone? I love it! Does anybody ever steal these things out of your yard before Halloween? I’d hide them in the backyard till Halloween. 💀

That one started with an Angel garden statue from Lowes that I placed on 3 layers of 3-inch foam that I distressed with a random orbit sander. Painted all with DryLok and lightly painted.

Love this! I’ve used foam (both EPS and Styrofoam of various poundages) to build everything from stage scenery to Disney ride envelopes, and here’s a few more tools for your arsenal; -Jaxsan 600 trowelable; I’ve even piped it on using wedding cake tips and tools for a permanent wedding cake prop and Easter eggs. -Any petroleum based spray from any rattle can; fantastic for roughing up old rock faces like castle walls or Mayan ruins (can make bigger effects than wanted so practice first.) -Various wire brushes from 1/2” ones to grill cleaners; great for more controlled damage like chips and corners. -Various pet grooming tools like horse curry combs and dog dematters. -Heat guns, blow dryers, paint peelers; good for deformations. -Anything with hot tips like hot knives, and soldering guns you hate. Good for fine but deep details. -chainsaws; my fave and great when you have large areas to destroy, or you’re working with anything over 2lb foam, or you like bead foam in your yard and every bodily crevice you have. -half destroyed fluffy rollers with dried paint throughout, half destroyed sponges with various holes sizes, old toothbrushes, tinfoil, saran wrap; chuck those in your faux kit next to your other stuff. If you’re visiting a themed amusement park here in central Florida and there’s a stone facade or tree trunk or wooden anything gracing the scenics of the ride envelope, you can bet your bottom dollar it started as foam that was abused then cemented over.

The Florida heat has been slowing my Halloween prep, glad I found your channel to help me get through the downtime! Can’t wait to see more! I’m working on revamping cheesecloth ghosts, I made a wire head and shoulders armature and dyed my cheesecloth (like 50 feet!) in a subtle glow paint and fabric medium. There basically haunted mansion ghost blue now, I just need to reassemble and determine where to hang them!

What great idea! Every year I'm having to repair my cheap tombstones. So as my yearly tradition continues, I an going to do them like yours!!! Maybe they will survive Colorado weather!!!! These are fantastic and I like how using the water made them look even older. Can you please show how you did the angel one?

Love the ideas, please keep them coming. Also could you please do a more in depth video on mounting your tombstones. I need a simpler way to mount mine in the yard and saw you used zip tie mounts. I'm curious what you used, how you got them to stick to the tombstones as well as how they hold up. I live in michigan so we are almost guaranteed rain, and wind. Happy haunting.
