John, your track is all bent up and bumpy! Even the piece you use to discuss the car after the run. Take it apart, lay each piece on a flat surface and look underneath. You can improve most piece with your bare hands.
I would never tell anyone not to get a car they like the look of, but I would warn people that AutoArt cars are really more suitable for the shelf than for the track. ;-) Have you gotten a Slot.it, NSR, ScaleAuto, Thunderslot, or other brands yet? It's a whole other world of performance.
Hey Greg yes agree with what your saying, John has a Lambo from Sideways, he did a video about it a couple of weeks ago. I just noticed Electric Dreams stocks some AutoArt and we know Denis works there, so I wonder if he has any experience with them. Could be a subject for your next World Wide Slot Car Chat?:)
@@jbsmith1 His reply will be to build a completely different chassis and put the body onto that. I have some AutoArt cars... they are what they are. If you want a car that runs nicely, get another car.
For what I have watched in his videos, he's a rookie at the Slots, but a very good reporter/reviewer at motorsport, I came to his chanel about a year ago(and followed since) because of his Lemans Disca coverage, really loved it. John is very enthusiastic about Slot Cars so any tuning mistake will be forgiven because I can tell he really, really loves Slot cars, just like me. So Slot Car World is very small? Indeed Mr 3d coleague. Cheers
@@danydevil6052 Yes loved all the LeMans coverage John has done and often go back and watch them again!:) Question for John. Just wondering, IF the next LeMans is held in Spain will you be covering it for us? Here's a link to the place, check out the tracks! I want to retire near there! :) www.criccrac.com
Interesting car! Yes I can see it bouncing along the straight, a quick google and I found this post: www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?s=d7edbb3e1ff603d5dee032b519882326&showtopic=62759&page=2 The guy took the sprung strips/springs off the bottom and "shimmed" the guide. This apparently lowered the front 2-3mm. I was surprised how well it seamed to handle though with the motor behind the wheels. :)
