Most big RU-vidrs start buying extraordinary things and start click baiting their videos. Rob gets big on RU-vid and buys one of his childhood boats that nearly anyone can buy and has fun and creates a great video. This is why I’ve been watching deer meat for dinner the past 5 years. I started fishing with my AMAZING Dad (who died of cancer almost 14 years ago) in a John boat just like this one. So many good memories. Thanks Robert for sparking the wonderful memories of me and my Dad fishing in that boat!!!

Hey Robert I am 15 years old and have been watching your channel for 2 years or so. I started hunting when I was 8. about 2 years ago I started watching your videos. starting with a lobster catch clean and cook after just a few minutes I knew I had found my new favorite channel. now I watch your videos as soon as they come out often when I am hunting. thank you so much for making videos for us all you are truly an inspiration to me. Let’s get that Kennan video going. I remember the first time I hung out with him. My brother billy and I went to the Jupiter ale house and Kennan met us there. I remember thinking that this guy has to be on something. And I was right. He’s completely jacked on animals(especially turtles) and life. I’ve never known a more energized and genuine human being in my life. Can’t wait to see the collaboration.
Years ago my son and I ran a 12 ftr with 5hp Merc, what a blast, went to the sandbar many times with it and anchored next to 100k plus CC's, nobody cared, we had a blast, always said we were going to the Bahamas, LOL! Ran all day on a gallon of gas, miss that dearly, now go 1.5 miles on a gallon, oh well, memories! God bless, Kevin
Had the exact same setup. Caught more fish with that little boat and motor in fresh and saltwater. Miss it alot. Kept us fish fed for a long time. God Bless the fun.
That boat is sweet!! I had a 12ft one like that when I was younger, and I got a piece of 2inch PVC pipe to slide onto the handle so I could sit on the center seat. lol. It was a lot more stable and I could go full blast without thinking I was going to sink it. lol. Now catching a big gator in that?? It won't be easy but I would damn sure go with you! lol. I once took mine out to the 19 mile marker outta Crystal River Florida. I only did that once! lol.

Mr. David Wise I only have Yamaha 5hp it’s so slow and I don’t have a boat licence I’m only 16 I’m old enough to get a boat license in Australia but I just got my l plates and the boat license is not easy to get
Got my first Jonboat when I was 13. 10’ Lowe with a 5hp Johnson. Buddy let me tell ya, the boys with 16’ skiffs with 40’s didn’t want none son. It would fly, learned more about life those two years on the intracoastal waterway here in southern NC than in all my schooling.
FINALLY got a jon boat! Looking forward to seeing how the master of alligator hunting does it in a jon boat! Got 3 last year solo in mine 💪 More content with the jon boat!!!
We just sold our j14 Carolina skiff... awesome boat but we wanted something light for duck hunting and throwing in smaller ponds and lakes here in Florida. We had a 15hp we were going to put on a 14ft wide Jon boat but ended up with a 17ft wide aluminum boat with a 25 and it’s so much fun. The kids will love that boat of yours
Back when my grandad was still alive, we used to visit them at their lake house every summer down in South Carolina. He had this little john boat that was almost just like that. Easily some of the best fun I've ever had, going around the Lake fishing or just looking for cool islands to pull up at and walk around on. We even hooked up a long rope to it and managed to pull off water skiing. Sadly, my grandfather is no longer with us, but my memory of him will continue to live on, and this video reminded me of all those good times from my childhood. John boats are awesome.
I’m subscribed to a lot of channels on RU-vid, and none of them come close to yours. Probably the only person on RU-vid that could make a video about a Jonboat that exciting haha. Great channel brother.
Robert, move battery, cooler, etc. as far forward as possible and it will handle so much better. I've got a 12' jon boat with Mercury 4hp and I love it. I've taken it to Bahia Honda in the Keys and caught lots of mangrove snapper around the bridge and gulf side. I even circled Bahia Honda in it. Great little boat that can get in spots the bigger boats can't reach. Have fun!!!
Great video Rob, had a 12’ sears job boat as a kid but only had a 5hp and it went good but not that good!! Your video brought back some great memories!
