Hi Andy, thanks for another interesting video !. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the R7. Apart from the slightly better AF system, I think you will get similar results !. Either way, they are both fantastic cameras. Great that you can still use all your EF lenses. R I P your poor old 90d 😂

Massive thanks Robert. I'm really looking forward to using it and agree that for Landscape I think it will be similar in terms of results. What I'm hoping for 🤞is that the focusing will be better for wildlife. I'll be taking it out into Snowdonia tomorrow so hopefully I'll get a chance to test it out. I've tested my EF lenses and they all work well so that's great news

Back out in the wild 😁 what do you think so far of this camera and editing the images? Is it easier to use?

Thanks Joris, it's good to be back out with a camera. I really like the feel of the camera and like it's lightness. In terms of usability it is very similar to the 90D but with more options that I've yet to fully explore. First impressions are definitely positive

Welcome to the mirrorless world. I think you'll get along great with the R7 and really enjoy it. I'm sure that you'll find that your lenses work well with the adapter. All I have are EF lenses, and I'm not in a huge rush to switch to RF, especially while I still have my DSLRs are backups. If I find it in my budget to purchase a new lens, then I'll look at RF, but still consider used EF lenses accordingly.

Thanks Craig. I really enjoyed using it for the video and am planning on a longer trip out over the weekend. My ef lenses all work with the adapter and I’m sure my sigma focuses more rapidly but that could just be my poor recollection 🤣

Hi Clint, the tripod in this video is the k and f (check out my other video on that tripod if you get a chance). I’ve since changed it to a benro as I had too many issues with the legs on the k and f

I am beginner in photography. I bought a used Sony A7s2. New 24-70 2.8 lens. I want to do street photography, shoot people/portraits. How much power flash would be enough to shoot outdoors? I would want to take this flash with me easily and during travelling. Should I go for on camera flash or off camera flash? This would be 1st flash that I would buy. What are your suggestions? Please also suggest softbox and tripod (either flash or camera would be on the tripod) to take with me in my luggage.

I typically don’t use flash for street photography as you need to capture turn reserve of the scene. For portrait photography check the online studio shops as a first reference as it’s tricky to know what is needed as it depends on settings, image type, etc and up l need more than just a flash, lighting rig. For proper portraits you’ll definitely need an off camera system

I wouldnt flash on the street, it could be a bit dangerous, if you flash somebody in a car or bike directly. Beside you get attention from the people around you, what isnt wanted in street photography, as i see it as capture a moment not a staged photo. Its also inconvenient to carry a softbox, flash and tripod for street. I would use those things, when i got a job and make portraits on a street. Fixed location, fixed model etc.. not for walking on the street. For night street and long exposures a tripod can be good, but i use more often something on the street i can put my camera on for those. But maybe i am a bit old fashioned and when flashing i like more the bouncing of something and a street has no sealing to bounce light from and a reflector would make it even more inconvenient (you need a guy holding it for you).

Agreed, the new camera is weather sealed like the 90D but I'm not sure cameras can be made to be put underwater with the technology. Maybe they could learn something from the Action cameras that are out there that can go underwater 🤷‍♂️
