Fit's perfectly, have you left enough room at the front left for 12V control battery / solar monitors etc, (I assume you are going to put them there ?) or will you be locating these somewhere else ?
Yep I'll probably end up adding a fan to this one too, but going to see how it goes without for a while first - because of the extra space inside we may not need to fill it as much as the previous one which should help the air to naturally circulate but we'll see. 🙂
I'm going to see how the fridge goes without the fan to begin with, but will probably add it down the track. Having all the extra space inside we shouldn't need to fill it so full, so the air may naturally circulate but we'll see. 🙂
The fridge is not 130L is only 110L. The Kings is a superior fridge from the same manufacturer with a substantially superior internal layout for less than half the price of the Bushman fridge. Bushman fridge are just cheap Chinese fridges sold at extortionate ripoff prices to highly gullible people.
Just question why did you go with normal fridge instead of a Dometic Dual Zone Fridge & Freezer 94L and put that on slide like your kitchen bench . Just asking for my future build, great videos well presented
Yeah definitely a lot of space! Although the capacity of an upright isn’t directly comparable to a chest fridge because you can use almost all the capacity in a chest, whereas the uprights have a bit of ‘wasted’ space between the shelves. 🙂
Thanks mate! I'm going to see how this fridge goes without one for a little while I reckon, with the larger capacity we shouldn't need to fill it to the max allowing for airflow between the shelves, so it might be ok without. 🙂
@@explorebound for your fan, did you find having it face the freezer or away from the freezer the best option? I've found on my 85L Kings, having it always on it caused the freezer to never freeze.
I ran mine facing towards the freezer run through a temperature controller which toggled the fan on/off as neccesary so the freezer didn't have any issues. 👍
@@exploreboundI remember you adding the thermostat to improve the system, you had a manual toggle switch prior to that didn’t you? Was the fridge getting too cold or the freezer just not getting cold enough at that time if you left it on or both?
I've just been given a partially set up canopy but don't have a ute to install on. Do you think it could work being installed on top of a 7x 4 trailer provided it's within weight limits etc?
Yep I've seen a few people install them on trailers instead of on vehicles - works really well as they're usually lower height for easier access to the fitout.
Nice one, Looking forward to the electrical fit out. I assume you're sponsored by iTech in which case...it is what it is. If not, any considerations to using a different brand? Cheers
Hey mate, glad to hear! Building out the 12v setup is one of my favourite projects. I'm not tied in with iTech, but to be honest their gear has never let me down - definitely open to considering other brands but with the travelling we're hoping to do with this setup I need to use gear I really trust 👍
@@explorebound WA company callted ATG batteries offers fantastic value and customer service. Muller Energy is another suggestion but not WA bsed. If you do your research I'd be willing to put my money on the table if you can find any quantifiable reason to chosse itech over those 2. There are probably 2 o 3 other reputable oz lifepo4 companies (not mainstream either so you're not subsidising their marketting budget) but can't remember the names.
