Yes,we painted it several years ago. That was always a nice ,solid truck. Glad to see it's back home. And glad it is with you. Ride on, friend.if you are in Clemson, pay us a visit !
Diablo or Texas Star. I love this truck the color, the motor just about everything. Think I've found my next project I think I would put some coilovers on it and bring it down just a little.
Nashville is a fun town. I always stop there for a day if I find myself passing thru. definitely Integra seats. had those in my turbo civic 15 years ago.
I've had a few of those trucks in the past. My favorite was my 77'. Put factory style dual bench seats back in it, and you will love that truck even more. The legroom is tremendous once the benches are in. Once people start adding buckets, your usable space diminishes quickly. Also, 12V Cummins, enough said. Jason
Probably already stated by someone but 99% sure those seats are out of a 1st gen Honda CR-V seats. Probably the best seats of all time as far as they hold up over time. Can’t say I’ve ever seen them in any other American truck lol. This thing def needs a Cummins😏
That truck is already super clean! Interior and everything else doesn't need much. I'm not a fan of the lowering, though...it looks cool but the functionality goes away. Raise it back up by 2 inches. Maybe a 4WD retrofit? If you're gonna go to the trouble to do an engine swap, then yeah, there's nothin for it but to put a 12V cummins with NV4500 in there.
Love the truck. I had a 68 C-10 when my wife and I got together. Sold it to buy a suburban to haul the family and pull a camper. Camper was a little heavy for the suburban. So about 2 months ago we got an 88 dually crew cab with a 454. Would like to do a 6.0 swap in it.
I originally wanted to go to a duramax but the 12 valve seemed like a lot easier swap seeing that there isn’t a ton of electrical components like the newer duramax motors.
Call it The Red Headed Step Child! As for upgrades, one piece glass in the front doors. Cleans up the lines of the truck, less wind noise, and makes it a lot harder to break into!
Pretty sure some of the 2000 ish civic's have some of the same seats also so keep that in mind when looking.. and Recaro has some covers that are really nice on them also.
Sweet truck, when you first popped the hood I instantly thought big cube LS motor needs to go in there. You ever come back down 85 into Atlanta, let me know, swing by and check out the car if you want. I live about 4-5 miles off the interstate
Slam it down on the ground, airbags, 24" wheels, and blacked out windows is a good start on the outside! I like how Jeff Lutz did his, check it out. Same body style!!!
Big Buella* lookin real good, great vlog great channel happy i stumbled across it! thanks for the content, and my heart goes out to you for the drive of shame haha
Not going to add a comment attempting to assign a name to the truck at this early stage. I just wanted to say that is one sweet truck, and would love to find something that clean.
Just a note,we have a dually suburban at the shop. Belongs. To tucks dad. Solid big block.for sale. By the way, tuck's family owned Big Red for about twenty years. We always called her big red.
so is this a craigslist find or a buddy tell u find..... its a cool 78 c30 crew cab duelly... guessing 2500 to 3500 cash for it..... depending on the miles n the rest.......
Enjoyed the video, Kyle. The new KillFab ChillCab looks pretty sweet, no doubt about it!😍👍 Good to see you and the Misses go on a road trip and add that one to the stable. When you showed the inside, I tripped out.😲 I know those seats... didn't expect to see them in that truck, but they look good. As I'm sure you've noticed, the front seats are slightly different than the rears. I have owned two Integra GS-Rs and those buckets in the rear of your truck are identical to my '94 GS-R seats. I actually have mine mounted in my Mazda 4x4 truck.😉 Your fronts look to me like newer model '98-'00 Integra GS-R cloth seats (slightly different pattern and adjusters). Can't wait to see you add your own touches and personalize this rig. Take care, brother!👊
Thanks man. I did know they were different and know it would take a serious eye to notice (especially in a 5 second video clip). I love the look of the 4 buckets so I am sure it will always stay some variation of that. Thanks
Nice truck! With some small changes and some of the things you were talking about, it will be really sweet. Not totally feeling the current color scheme, but that's an individual preference, obviously. Can't think of any good names. LOL
The only thing I would say about that truck is the bucket seats, although it's a chevy classic she's not a Chevelle or Camero. Bench seats look better in those trucks
I have a 1991 2500 2wd Chevy pickup 350 engine- standard cab and long box. Can I make it a dually without buying/replacing the rear axle? is there a kit or way to do it? (or can I put wider tires on the back - I use it for a wood truck) Thanks much. Gary
That guy must have been fussing about yall taking drinks out the building. LOL. The truck looks good man. So I want to throw dirt on your wall, toss the LT and drop in a LS. Lighter weight, Better heat dissipation and more power... Kidding aside having a 4oo+ Hp from a LS is honestly not that expensive now days. Hell you could throw a low boost setup on a stock LS block and make some big power and it will be reliable power. As far as a truck name, what do yall think about Goliath.... Needless to say, the videos are getting better and better. Keep up the awesome work Kyle.
I had a 78 R20 crewcab 454 TBI on it. It would get stuck on flat ground...if the grass is wet. But it would a rolling burn out through all 4 gears while towing a 30 foot camper.
Hey Kyle I'll be up at Glenn's Muffler with Tommy in the morning getting the exhaust done on my Camaro. If you have time and want to come by I'll show you the TorqHead 24x coil pack conversion I done on my LT1 to do away with the optispark distributor. It now uses the 0411 PCM that is used in the 00-02 Camaro with the LS1 engine. It makes the LT1 extremely reliable and easy to tune with HP Tuners.
