Loved your 1st episode on the 120Y, yes they badly rust, thats why there's none on the road now. Incidentally, they are light in the back if driven hard. I actually knew someone who assembled them down under in NZ. Driving characteristics similar to Triumph Herald / Vitesse. Whoops, that gives away my age. I am amused by you not learning to drive a manual. I drove a stick shift ( floor change ) at seventeen ( the auto at fifteen ), column change manual probably 21. First truck/ forklift 25, taxi 27, bus 32, tractor 🚜/ front end loader in my fifties. Look forward to whatever happens to your beloved 120Y. BTW, happy new year, 2023. 🍺🍻🥃👌👍
YOU JUST EARNED SUBSCRBER! I have a the exact same car( L.H. drive and in a much over all condtion i like to believe😂 ) But I need diffential parts (h-145 pinion, crown wheel. etc) for it bc it makes humming noise when driven. If you can give shoutout to places where you where able to obtain parts( as links in discription) i will appreciate it. Great work and upload rest of your journey.
I have found that most of these little Japanese cars always start with a battery and ether. But stopping?!? Hoping somebody checked into the brakes before racing up the alley . Good luck on the resto project.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. " Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverordnung" in German... in France the new SCHLABOUBVE law :-((
