After years of riding mtb dirt jump bikes on my local trails and in huge Slopestyle competitions around the world, I’ve always loved the idea of designing my own dirt jump frame for riders to enjoy. And the Marin Alcatraz is just that, we’ve made some changes and the new colour way is incredible. I love it and all the parts, this is a MTB dream build for sure and the bike build was so enjoyable. Thanks to Brink for the forks and help, I love it. Where should I take this bike riding?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have that garden anymore.he split with his gf,and I believe it was her property,hence why we haven't had any backyard trails Vids for a while now. I have a feeling his current garden isn't suitable for backyard trails,hence why he did the compound up and also built a trail line. If I'm wrong then I apologise,but I'm pretty sure this is the reason.

Honestly, I would swap the back wheel decals to black on both side. I feel like the red should only stay as an “accent” color, but you shouldn’t have too much of it on the bike. Otherwise, the bike is an absolute banger!

Matt a hole gets bigger the more you take away Also that’s a rad bike keep shredding Another thing me and my freinds are working on some jumps and I would love some tips on how to build big dirt jumps without a hose or wheel barrow we can’t drive yet either so we are quite limited on transportation of big tools

Flat shovel for stacking and making lips, spade for unearthing. Buckets if you cant get a wheelbarrow to the spot. Stack it, ride it, figure out what’s wrong, re-do it and learn from it.

Gyro advise. M2 upper lever and cable by odyssey or similar. You need short pull brakes. Trp spyre road or Paul's probably be best. Pad and rotor selection become more important. As long ad they're short pull disc brakes they'll work for a mechanical gyro. Odyssey probably makes the longest lower cables. They were set up long enough for a Norco 250 frame. Don't ask how I know that lol. Carbon seat post saves some weight. Alloy bolts can work for seat clamps. Same with alloy nuts. Just make sure it's good sluminium. Like 7075. Hollow steel pivotal bolts are cheap and almost as light as Ti. Saves money for other ti bits and doesn't require the effort of taking the bolt out in the future. Partially hollow ti stem bolts for the steerer. Star nuts can add a decent bit of weight.

Hi Matt, you might find the paint is lighter for sure! I know the Global Mazda MX5 Cup cars are all white cars from the factory before being turned into the racing variant as the white paint option is significantly lighter than any of the other variants... around 7kg if I remember correctly.
