I can tell you, just 3 years ago I was sort of well off and walked into a store in Japan and walked out poorer than poor. Japan's merch is top notch and I felt homesick after returning and not being able to find anything close to the quality and cuteness back here in the Netherlands. If I did find it it would cost me like 4 times the usual amount.
I am hoping to do exactly that next year. I want to have at least 5-8,000 in spending money outside of travel costs so I’m going to have to WORK for that… but oh my god it would be so incredible
@@xCanadensis My budget was 7000 and I almost spent it all. My biggest tip is to go to arcades, if you see something, try to win till you spent like 10 dollars. Still didn't win? Go next door. 9 out of 10 times there's a thrift store where they sell that item for cheap. In Japan people get paid to donate to thrift stores, so people often win prices and sell them next door. You can of course skip the arcade part and go straight to thrifting, haha. The crane games are pretty hard.
It’s so cool to get to collect pretty things from around the world! Lol what a fun haul ☺️ Excited to see those Jenny dolls they’ have a pretty interesting history.
I love Jennys! So cool. I don't know all that much about them, but the one I have is from the Angel's Garden series, apparently there was like a tape of stop motion Jenny animation using the dolls for a Power Rangers-esque sentai short where Jenny and her friends became the Angel's Garden team. The downside is these dolls often came dressed in clothing with red accents and the red bleeds into the rest of the clothes over time. But they're super cute lol
Those sound SO interesting!! Every Jenny I’ve seen has me so captivated! There’s something so uniquely beautiful in their eyes. Licca dolls are incredible too but there’s just something about Jenny- if that makes sense? Haha
I finally got out of the hospital and everything is different and scary now but seeing your videos has made me feel normal and comforted and I'm so glad you're here and I just wanted to thank u ;^;
Hi, what great Jenny finds 😍 I only have one Jenny and she's from 1986, the first year of Jenny being produced. Before that, she was a Takara Barbie. I once wanted to collect Jenny but switched to Licca, she's easier to come by. Love, looooove that fashion pack for Jenny 🥰
I really like the figures at the end of the video. I'm looking forward to the video where you open the Jenny dolls. I am very interested in buying the Snoopy bowl if you decide to sale it. I do have Mercari. It would be a perfect Christmas present for my friend Teresa.
How much did shipping cost for this? I’ve used a proxy service before and the shipping cost was so expensive 😭 I’m curious how much zen charges for their shipping.
I think you can still get Jenny through Licca Castle ? Or at least EXTREMELY similar facial screening. They’re super expensive but I see them for sale a lot
Thank you so much! I was worried that maybe it wasn’t an actual release date as some Barbies will have very wild “box dates” compared to actual releases aha
Merch is my fav. I tend to keep my doll numbers smaller, but I'm a sucker for merch. Also not to be nosy but you mention moving to a more permanent house quite frequently. I was wondering do you already have a place to work lined up after school?
@@xCanadensis Just looked it up and seems so nice and easy to use! Definitely going to get the Neon Butterfly Rika-Chan doll! Btw love your channel, just started collecting in April and can't get enough 😊
Been trying to get in touch with you in regards to 2002 Japanese Tokyo Mew Mew dolls. I think you would like them as they are an anime series where these lovely girls transform into cats haha. Let me know if you are interested. Loved this haul by the way. Licca OMG is just devine.
@@xCanadensis oh my goodness little lady. How could you think I would charge you full price haha. Sent you another email but thank you for your reply. I'm actually a little star struck right now because you made my day haha.
@@dennyd2928 She said in the video that they're vintage and "pretty hard to find, definitely/especially for Americans" like it doesn't mean thrift stores in Japan are full with these dolls if you can't buy them as an international collector
