Hi! I always like to use a rather long gearing, here I use 17-42 with a 2021, so that will be 17-40 with the 2016 I think. I use the same gearing in Spa as in Chimay ;)

Hello Tim, thank you! I think the difference between my 3 ZX-10R motorcycles (2008, 2016 and 2021) are much smaller in laptime than you would expect. For example: I did a 1.38 high on my 08 ZX-10R years ago at Zolder, and currently my best laptime is a 1.36... so only a bit more than 2 seconds. But since then, I got better tires, much better suspension, much lighter wheels, much better brakes, 35hp extra (the 2008 was almost stock). Also, I did a 1.38.0 on a 2006 R6 last year at Zolder... only 1.5 seconds slower on a 15 year older bike, and a 600 too! So I think that any "modern" trackbike with some adjustment will do ;)

thats what I hear from many riders. friends bought new bikes and many are slower than on their old bikes although the bike „should be much better“ … thanks for your reply!
