Today we take a look at my new favorite eBike for the price! This is the Engwe M20 ebike and it's an absolute blast, but extremely comfortable! Right now it's going for Right around $1,150 with a discount code, so it's a really affordable but VERY fun bike. If anyone is thinking about this bike I highly recommend ordering it with the 2nd battery. It is only $300 extra and that includes the battery, the blender, the tray, and it is pre-installed in the latest version.

It's even better than you think. $1600 is for the dual battery version, the single battery (the one you have) is only 1300. They always have some sort of promotion going on too, I paid $1450 for mine for the dual battery. I definitely recommend getting the dual battery (and buying a 2nd charger for $40), you can almost entirely eliminate range anxiety with the 2 batteries. I agree 100% with this review, absolutely love my M20 and highly recommend it.

beware engwe sent me defective x26 with stuck batt engwes fix was to tell me to pry out batt with screwdriver and sand a brand new ebike 🤪🤯 or to take to shop pay $300 and wait for a check. engwe also asked me to lie via email.

@@unkmike2370 Ok a couple of things here. First off I'm sorry your M20 had an issue. Trust me I know full well how much it sucks to pay a lot of money for something had have it arrive with a problem. That being said, I think you need to have certain expectations when you order an ebike mail order, and first and foremost is to expect to roll up your sleaves and fix problems yourself (or pay to take it to a bike shop). No company is going to offer you a return/replace on the bike if the problem is fixable, the best you're going to get is some advice on how to proceed. It sounds from your post that they offered to pay for you to take it to a bike shop. That's actually above and beyond IMO (although $300 sounds pretty steep to "unstick" the battery, I'd shop around if I were you!). I had some dealings with Engwe support as well, and I found them to be responsive and helpful, and far better than other overseas companies I've dealt with. Anyway, I hope you are able to get it resolved. It's a great bike and I know you'll enjoy it once you get that issue fixed.

Another thing I like about that bike are the mag rims. E-bike manufacturers need to start putting out more bikes with mag rims. No more broken spokes and less wind tossing you around if it's hitting you from the side.

I have a 1500 watt Violamart motor on my converted Shwinn.. With a 20A 52v battery i get 24-28 miles depending on speed and wind. I've gotten up to 32 miles and i have two batteries on the bike so it's no issue at all. I'm surprised the range is so low. Mine also hits 32mph on full charge and I'm 6 feet 210lb atm. Can even hit 30 with strong head winds and will always get me close to 30 unless the battery is down to about 2 bars. Going up hills there is also no slow down and on full charge has the same kind of acceleration pull as a fast moped i used to ride Long time ago. But i do like this bikes looks, price, mag wheels, lights and seat overall. If i ever bought a store bought one this would be one I'd consider. I would use my 52v battery to get a little more speed, power and range. Be nice if they made one with either dual 750 watt motors or a single 1500 watt with sport and Eco modes on the controller. Hopefully they'll come out with something like that in time.

Thanks for the review, Great bike! Right now, $1549 gets it with two 13AH batteries for a total of 26AH...! Trick out the controller for a cpl hundred and get 35mph easy...edit...Shame you didn't take the seat off and have a peak at the controller

Seems like a really nice bike for the money. Definitely spend the extra money for the second battery if you're going to try and make a long commute daily. Be interesting to see if you can unlock the speed limiter and anything else, plus get the second battery for it.

I've gone back and forth with this bike and after looking at every other bike I could at every price point, I've come back. I should have just bought it the first time. I'd be riding already 🤦🏻. I do want something a little faster but at this price i can't complain. I'm thinking of getting the dual battery and then try and upgrade it a little

I bought a Happyrun ebike that looks similar to that guy for under $1000 with a motorcycle like look. It has a really nice display but it does just come with spring forks. Does come with an 18 aHr battery though.Same light and turn signal controls as that and full suspension. Previously had a natko discovery that could only go 20 and I feel like I seriously upgraded. At 5'8" my feet can't touch the ground when sitting but there's no issue pedaling. It's comfy and the integrated lights make me feel safer.

I bet a 52v or 60v battery and controller would make this thing very fun, but if you want to go all out, you can get a 52v or 60v 2000w or 3000w hub motor too then this thing would be awesome¡! 😁👍

Spokes on the wheels would be a negative change. Mag rims are easier to clean, stronger without any maintenance, & offer less wind resistance...a better ride.

theres a bike called ANIIOKI with 110 miles range at only 1500 dollars, Its not as light, but whats your thoughts on it? I would rather go with a larger battery then have another ebike with no battery capacity, anything under 100 amp hours feels weak, but 60 is an alright sacrifice well battery tech catches up

I really really like the look of this bike it looks minuscule in size and possibly underpowered. Also, whats the range of Engwe M20 at 28 mph on throttle only and does it have enough power to deal with San Francisco? Dual batteries usually means a lot more power, torque and range. Does this apply to this bike and if so by how much? Other bikes I’m considering are Wired Freedom, Ride1Up, Revv 1, Ariel Rider X-Class 52V and Volcon Brat. I’m a bit confused. Does anyone have experience worn these bikes?

I love my lectric xp step thru! I ride it almost every day. I have both the front and rear cargo baskets so I can take it to the store to get a few groceries.

Lectric is better with the big battery, but this one can have almost 2 times the range if you grab a second battery. For grocery, i'd go with the lectric long range, but for fun and commute, definitely this one

Did they ever get back to you? They are ignoring me. Won't answer calls or emails. Ordered one 2 weeks ago and FedEx trashed it and sent it back before getting to me. Now no one is responding to me. They got my money and I got nothing but stress. I would recommend another company that has descent customer service. They should have sent a replacement immediately but they seem to think FedEx mess up is on the customer as they wait to get the damaged one back before they think about doing anything. So instead of 4-5 days delivery, I'll be lucky to get it in 3 weeks, if I even get it, as they are ghosting me. Be ware of this shady company.

Looks a lot like the Polarna X-01 (that I reviewed but haven't posted the video for). Or the Engwe M20. I think price to performance, the Polarna and Engwe are better for the price and have a similar look to the Valen. Just my thoughts :) and the Valen doesn't have any suspension at all! That would be a bumpy ride.

I have this bike. You can pedal it but it is not the best choice if you want something that rides like a bicycle. It is just so much fun riding it like a mini-bike instead.
