My New Favorite Game of 2022 - Cult of the Lamb 

i was playing stardew and this came up when i heard him say dont be scared to take breaks i squeeled

It a good game but very buggy and the combat and dungeons are trash once you beat them no replay ability and I played on very hard and got 18 hours out of the game so still worth the money and hoping for dlc or content in updates

The cult aspect is more like Don't Starve than Stardew

I love how taking care of your cult is an actual game mechanic. Most of the cults I see on movies and TV are just there for creep factor and nothing else. Like "aaaaah look at the scary cult they have weird masks and robes and their doing weird ritual shit so spooooooky". Ironically enough, this game has a more realistic depiction of an actual cult than anything else I've seen. You have to actually feed them and take care of their hygiene to make sure illnesses don't spread. You need to give them jobs so that they can gather resources so the settlement is actually self-sustainable. You actually need to give them sermons and establish doctrines so that they stay faithful. These are very important aspects that don't really get addressed in other media, it's usually just creepy chants or spooky blood rituals. This game didn't need to go out of the way to add all those details, but it did, and I really respect the devs for that. Also, the artstyle fucking rules, I love it. Reminds of Neytirix who can casually draw both really disturbing and gorey art, and also really cute and fluffy art.

I have 400+ hours in gungeon played this game on very hard and it was a cake walk too easy especially compared to beating gungeon just on normal mode

This game heavily reminds me of Binding of Isaac, its literally the exact same energy lmao
