@@AifaOgami Well Android now has full gesture-based navigation just like iPhones since Android 10/Q, it's really good and it's still optional for those that like the nav bar.
This man is the perfect balance of "family friendly" without being directed at children. Tbh i didn't even notice that he keeps it fairly clean till i heard "I fn love these"
What I like about Dank, is that he's a rare breed of "not-an-asshole-audiophile" person. The kind of guy that if I told him I mainly listen to music through a 2.1 Altec-Lansing desktop system or a USB LogiTech headset, he'd probably respond "as long as it works mate, but maybe grab a pair of Senny hundos."
I'm so happy I bought the motorola Edge Plus. Best Phone I've had so far! And it's got a headphone jack! Granted The dac is just like any other but - whatever. It support's Bluetooth, AAC, aptX, aptX-HD and LDAC
Dankpods: "it lives in my studio. It is where *Frank lives and poops too!"* My Imagination: *"Fraaaaaaaank.... does this new beat sound good?"* Frank: * sticks tongue out and back in *
I bought an M15 off the strength of this review. It is everything he says and more and I am now chronically addicted to buying headphones. My favourite thing is there is a 3 digit number hand-written in biro inside the M15’s wooden box.
@@versaleyang So far, got Quad ERA-1, Beyerdynamic T5v3, Sennheiser HD660S and Grado Hemp (with pad mod). The ERA-1 are the best really, especially running them in balanced mode. I think the M15 will be replaced in time with the M11 Plus LTD. Not being able to run Apple Music on the M15 is a bit of a pain.
@@Kartoshka177 It is something to do with the SoC being the Exynos 7872, so that's effectively the main engine of the M15. You can download the Apple Music app from the Playstore, but you can never log into it. When you submit your user credentials, it just loops back to the log in screen. I don't really know what the issue is, but I'm guessing it has something to do with cryptography / security used by Apple accounts that is not supported on this SoC.
@@haydenhold7451 Almost no one plays Osu or Cytus because of the anime aesthetic, these games aren't made for weebs, and playing them doesn't make you a weeb. It's just that the weebs that do play these games, y'know, turn their playing experience into that. Hey, at least these are real rhythm games. Just felt like I needed to say that.
Oooh that stinky bass on the GTA SA theme. Ooooh, the treble on those cymbals! That would be so sparkly AND punchy, it would be like getting smacked by Carmen wearing full on stage dress!
being an audiophile is pointless you spend all this money on equipment to listen to star wars....unless your a pro musician its pointless and not even drake spends this much on headphones lol
@@sergf3624 i mean, that's certainly one way to think about it. I just find myself to be super picky with the quality of audio that enters my ears, haha.
@@sergf3624 That's not really a fair take. Being an audiophile is a hobby, like cars and card collecting. Do you need any of this stuff? Not necessarily, but it's about your enjoyment and what you get out of the hobby which is listening to music in the best ways possible. Also, who cares how Drake listens to music? If he doesn't use audiophile gear to listen to music, that has nothing to do with how others listen to music and if it's pointless or not.
@@sergf3624 Have you actually tried some expensive headphones or speakers with proper setup altogether? I mean star wars sound track is pretty good coming out of something a tad bit better than the apple earbuds.
It's really not that expensive until you get to the insanely high end. You can have a brilliantly upgraded headphone setup that makes you appreciate tracks & music in general in a new way for $300-$400. Keep in mind headphone equipment lasts aaaaaaggggeeeessss when you take care of it. I guess it just comes down to where your priorities have to lie, but man I can't recommend good audio equipment enough.
My brother watches this channel, and when he showed me a couple of videos, I thought it was funny but I wasn't really interested. My brother said he loved watching these videos because he couldn't stop for some reason lol. Now I'm here and I've been binge watching this channel for the last week and I love it.
4 minutes in, we're saying "Isn't there anything on that isn't about BOXES?!" But seriously, if I ever get the money for audiophile gear, I'm looking at Fiio thanks to you.
Make sure to look around because there is so many other good alternatives that may suit your preferences better! Such as ibasso, Sony and Astell and Kern. Most high end audio stores will let you demo them so you buy the right one for yourself!
@@whymez0 yep fiio makes some cool stuff so does everyone else. All about looking at everything and finding what fits for you with budget and features that you want.
@@junpintay7848 yeah fair enough! I have a sp1000 myself, but there is no harm in trying a sr25 or dx160! Both are fantastic and either headphones or earphones should come before buying the player.
If this is what passes for angry in Australia or your country, can I please leave the riots and coup attempts and move to your area? I swear I’m one of the more passive, nerdy ones! I’ll share my audio gear! Thank you!
Him explaining reverb put me into a reflection of my whole existence upon realizing that the only reason I accurately know what reverb is is the fabled fart with reverb video
imagine having this insane $2500 mp3 player and using it to only listen to 24kb quarter-bit radiohead bootlegs you took off kazaa through a pair of apple earbuds that came with your 4th gen ipod nano. it would be glorious.
As far as I can remember, FiiO is pretty well known for producing high quality audio gears. Even their entry level IEMs (F1 and F3, which the latter I also own) sounds pretty nice and very well-received.
watching and listening to this is fun when I know nothing about audiophile stuff or even music in general yet this was really informative I feel like I learnt more from this than my entire 2 years of studying music at my shitty high school
Nick Exactly. Any android tablet and Bluetooth game pad can function way better as a gaming rig than OUYA. However, if retroarch had been more developed at the time, the OUYA could have made a decent (but expensive) emulation machine. But Raspberry Pi is way cheaper and just as capable.
@@Joseph_mama he's got to be able to see what he's doing in Minecraft. Half of the screen is dedicated to the game, and the other half is Minecraft discord where he can argue with the 9 year olds.
Gotta say dude u have really helped me get to know how my audio should sound. Even though it's hard for u to explain it time and time again but you have helped me a tone really enjoy my music and my podcast.
@@evshrug When in ladscape the buttons hide. In android 7 they should be on the bottom of the phone(not bottom of orientation like newer models and Iphone), so you drag from botton inward and they appear. On some phones the buttons appear while also dragging from the top while in ladscape to see the notification bar.
@@Chamieiniibet nah, they're virtual buttons. To engage them in landscape mode, you either swipe from the top of the screen orientation, or from the bottom of the device. A set of three buttons (triangle, circle, square) should appear on screen.
I wish I had enough money for equipment like this, music is my favourite thing ever and I cannot wait till the day I can witness music played through amazing headphones with an amazing amp
Really been digging all the audiophile stuff you have been explaining. My dad is very into sound system culture so I’ve had that passed onto me but I’ve been wanting to get in on the headphone side of things and these videos have been making it so much easier.
I still have the 1gig shuffle, the silver version of that and it still works XD. Course, it's been retired by a Fiio m3k now so it doesn't get used... at all anymore...
How to leave a fullscreen app/game on Android: 1) Swipe down from the top to show the Notification Bar and Navigation Buttons (the shapey-bois) 2) Press the Home button (the friendly circle) to go to the Home Screen Hope this helps! Yeah, Android UI can be an inconsistent bitch sometimes. But, hey, at least you can set default apps for everything, and the notification management is better; ya win sum, ya lose sum.
@@arnox4554 My only worry would be that FIIO seems to have used really cheap eMMC on this and those things wear out really quick. Wouldnt be surprised if the internal memory on this thing gives out relatively quickly. Happens with cheaper phones and laptops all the time.
I’ve been watching your channel ever since the raycons video and I’ve found your advice really useful overall since I’ve been exposed to other really great brands I normally wouldn’t expose myself to. I was wondering if you could make a video about budget music players in a similar fashion to the budget headphones video? Keep up the great work and cheers mate.
So glad to see Fiio is still making great products. My 2011 model X3 is still working like a charm with a 128gb card after 5 years of ownership and smashing the glass screen layer by accident lol.
Mr. Dank, I love your channel, thanks to you I'm now the proud owner of my first two iPods, a first and second-gen na no. Now for the bat-trees... UUUUUGGgghhhh...
i have watched every one of your videos atleast 8 times now, they're always the highlight at the end of my week, thank you for the amazing content you provide to the platform
Man, I recently came across your channel and binge watched a lot of your videos! I love that you're so humourous and still provide a useful insight about the tech. You deserve way more subs!!🙏
Finally more content, I have been craving this for a very long time. My yearning for aussie-accented tech garble has gone on long enough. I shall indulge in the best 20 minutes of the week. Thank you, Dankus Podsian.
Damn you Dank, since I've found your channel, I've bought those TaoTronics earbuds you tested, i drink Tooheys by the litre (not really, can't find it in the States), and I'm looking at old iPod's to buy. (Shakes fist towards the ground, in anger!)
@@thegloriouspotato6223 well I went from iPhone to android, but that was when samsung still had buttons and you didn't have to know all the gestures just to go back to the home screen.
