Love your new home! My two cents: get rid of the chandelier OR can you lift it higher? Move it to a different room? But yeah, if you bump into it, it doesn't work lol. Definitely keep that dresser unit because you can definitely paint it and use it somewhere else. The table in the entryway... meh, it's not my taste but if you really like it and feel it's a part of you, keep it!

Love the house and that my fellow Dominicana met this milestone in her life! Quick note to the videographer, shoot the spaces with and without Julissa in the shot. It was hard to see the rooms like the entryway and the kitchen. When she's looking in the fridge, get a shot over her shoulder looking in, things like that. Much success!

What colors are you going for ? I like that you have a lot of sunlight, that frame would be good as a cute mirror . Maybe add curtains on some of the windows you still want some privacy

Lovely house, Julissa! I can't wait to see how everything comes together when you get your new furniture and decor. For a large grand plant, you should get a bird of paradise, yucca cane, or majesty palm.

Love your space. The arches in your home bring in good luck. And honestly get rid of all the things you don’t want. That way you start with new things. Nothing is better than new things even if it’s used but it’s new to you. And don’t hang nothing on the arch windows. Love yah girl. You’re doing amazing.

I would cover the windows, due to privacy and not having someone looking in. Or you can add some type of time where you can see the outside, but people can’t see inside.

Congrats on the house! Excited to see what colors your bring into the home. Would replace that light when you first walk in. The table from flea market that you painted I’d possibly move that to your study/office ❤️ I also fine a lot of unique pieces at estate sales. I know you mentioned you have designer friends to help you out but it’s always fun to find unique pieces and spruce up your space. Also an olive tree would look great in that corner next to the fireplace! Have fun and enjoy the space!!!

Love your new home. I would keep the chandelier and raise it higher or put it in your bathroom as a statement piece. Keep the p-table, you should try turning it to the other side. Hopefully, is not too obvious. You should also keep the other white storage piece. You could use it in your office for storage. Another great episode. Congrats on your house. Thats an awesome achievement! Since you asked for suggestions: I would redo the kitchen to make it more open concept and change the colour of the cupboards. I would also change the doors in the primary bedroom because they seem like a security risk.

Yes to changing the light fixture. You need something more sophisticated that you don't tap your forehead on. I love the Zgallerie console, but not in that room. Keep it and repurpose it in another space. It's so glam!

Paint can refresh an old piece but if you are not attached or can’t match it then don’t kept it… that’s how junk starts accruing. Maybe team up with a DIY influencer who can redo it. Not sure if your overall colors but painting that large piece black or white or adding a piece of glass- can’t remember now if it had a top- could make a funky console or dining table. Create a collage wall of random old frames and mix that big one in. The carvings in the kitchen don’t match the vibe of the rest of the house to me. I see it all painted white with gold or black hardware. See how easily I spend your money 😏😂

I would definitely place a nice tall plant in the living room corner, Would also consider putting some curtains over the windows to make it more of a comfy feel. Definitely take down that chandelier , that dresser replace get something a little more modern with your flow. Love your house, but definitely get rid of the light fixture in your foyer. the Zgallerie console is REALLY COOL, but a great round table in your foyer would give you that Dramatic moment you want. Maybe the console can serve another purpose elsewhere...glass topped it could make a cool serving bar perhaps. With all of the light, I bet you could grow a Fiddle leaf fig plant in your livingroom.

FYI be sure not to have tree limbs touching your roof because squirrels can get into your roof and damage it. Coming from someone that had to deal with that ..congratulations on your new home!

Those beautiful curly pieces off of the crown molding on either side of the entrance to your living room are called Corbels!! What a beautiful & refreshing space to start your journey as a homeowner! Congratulations!! NY fam here ♥ I live in an apt in a suburb of Manhattan but I know I will never have own a house which is ok. I do love watching & cheering others on in their success - especially women!!
