Hello , I found your video after being contacted by a recruiter, and just wondering, when you were working at Tesla, was there a lot of people that used to work with autonomous vehicles companies such as Waymo, Aurora, etc...? Thanks
I got a conditional offer letter from recruiter for engineering tech position...and done with my pre employment drug screening n stuff...... How long would it take for getting the official offer letter? Any idea
What was your position at Walmart? And also, I know your position at Tesla wasn’t an advisor but if you can, can you give me some insight on that position. That’s the position I applied to. Thanks
Not bad at all! 2 interviews first is getting to know you a little more and explain the role, second is a short interview one on one with a person very casual, and then a session where you demonstrate your ability to do the job
Hey! Good luck with your application! Unfortunately I no longer work for the company, but if you search Tesla recruiter on LinkedIn you can reach out to them, that's how I got my position!
Hi Can you just let me know how the company provides training and orientation to the new comers, I know that would be different according to the department you work in, if you can tell your department and how you got training and orientation, that would be great. I was just researching it for my assignment.
Sure, it's nothing too crazy, a day of HR stuff, then it's about 1-2 weeks of hands on training with a trainer and then you're off to the races, but newer people have less expectations. This may have changed though as I no longer work there
Hi Andrew, there's an opening for a "vehicle readiness specialist" at a tesla store near me. Have you heard anything about that position? I'm interested in applying but need advice.
Hey! Not sure, never worked with stores in any capacity but my best guess is it's preparing cars ordered online making sure they're clean and functional?
@@EconomicCockroach Thanks, exactly it's cleaning and maintenance. Do you think the entry level jobs will have those interview questions that the higher level positions have?
@@CommanderTexas I've only ever interviewed for the one position so I couldn't say, but it was a pretty relaxed interview so I wouldn't stress about it
Hey Andrew! I'm currently an entry-level project manager at a bulge bracket bank in NY. just graduated. Thank you for your video! And I was wondering if you could introduce me to the recruiter that hired you because I am very serious and passionate about working there. If that's too rush, I'm also super interested in just talking to you about how to be qualified to work there - something similar to an entry level program manager job. Thank you so much : )
Hey Tony, I no longer work at Tesla, if you want I could give you the name of the recruiter who reached out to me initially? But it may not be the area you want to work in
@@EconomicCockroach oh nice! I just got hit up by a recruiter for a Data Annotation Specialist position on Indeed and your video came up when searching more info about it :) did you get hit up by a Oracle recruiter?
Hi, how are you? Yesterday I have seen an job vacancy in Tesla as a data annotation specialist and I need a hlp how to apply for it. Actually I have an 1year experience in LiDar annotations and data labeling. Please give me a reply for this. This will help me to apply. And I'm from India
Hey, as far as I'm aware there's only one data annotation facility (in NY) do you have a green card to come over from India already? Otherwise it will probably be difficult to get
@@EconomicCockroach Thnx for your reply! No I don't have green card. But company will provide job visa right we can stay there using that right? Correct me if I'm working. And they have mentioned in that like no problem with national, sex and etc. They have mentioned this also like, in case of accommodation also we can ask with an interviewer so I'm thinking it's possible to apply?
@@BerryButtu nothing wrong with trying! But it's not a high technical skill job so I think it's unlikely they will assist but that's out of my range of expertise haha. Might be worth looking into getting it on your own or through another company and once you're here applying to Tesla, note it's Buffalo, NY only where the data annotation facility is. Hope you make it over here brother!
@@EconomicCockroach Ha brother! Really thanks for your time here. Actually I know this is not a High skill job. But I was working for past 1 yr in data labeling and annotations. I hope this have a much more scope in future because of automation testing is started everywhere. Right? So I'm thinking myself to move in this field. This is from my side and please give me your advice about this brother. Thank you! Haha
@@BerryButtu absolutely! There's definitely more companies than just Tesla hiring for that, and in general there's more jobs than people here in the States right now so you'll have no trouble in that category.
@@EconomicCockroach do you regret majoring in that? what would you have rather majored? I also chose this major and thinking if I should finish it or switch majors? what would you suggest to someone since you majored in it
@@OhhBugzy it really depends on a lot, one aspect is for some jobs you do need it still, even in the general sense my current company (Oracle) won't hire you if you don't have a 4 year degree of some kind. And I'm sure there's various skills I learned along the way that helped me but i mainly went bc I was lucky enough that my parents paid for the tuition. If you have the math skills and aptitude for it, it seems like a computer science degree would be helpful. I'm not of the mindset set college is a scam or anything, bc it genuinely is required to have some degree for some things, but you could get by without it just fine. Good luck on your journey!
@@EconomicCockroach thanks for the response. But Yeah im getting Financial aid but thinking of some type of IT field but I hate math or to do a business major which Was it hard to find a job after u graduated with your degree?
@@OhhBugzy not too big of a challenge honestly, I graduated in 2018 so not too far back, really if you're graduating anytime soon it seems far better in terms of ease of getting a job as everyone needs people rn
@@mambrake depends on your role I guess, there were definitely a lot of fun parts but not my ideal place. Can't talk too much about what I did etc as I did sign an NDA
@@maynormaynor not sure what you're applying for exactly but the interview for me was actually very relaxed, just a short 5 min chat, and then a 20-30 minute competency quiz type thing
