So glad you came back to the Supra, the Z is just slow and definitley not as nice. You were the main reason I was going to buy a Supra, I loved your videos on your white one, but alas I sat in the Supra and it was too small for me being 6'2, I was just too uncomfortable, so I opted for the C8 Corvette.
Yeah the Supra is better in every way when looking at performance and refinements from the Z. Such a good car! If only the Supra was a targa top, maybe that’d work lol. C8 is a great car for sure!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed A Targa Top for the Supra would be amazing, that would set it over the top. There is a video out there of someone doing this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bZrIbRHzNXQ.html
I know! I haven’t been home much since I bought the car! Have really only had about 2 weeks with the car to film a few vids and get a few mods on. It’s getting ceramic coated soon and I’ll finally have more time with it too!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed you guys saved me a ton of $$ by showing me how to do the downpipe myself! Also went with the AWE exhaust. Least I can do I support the store.
@@JamessssssssssSupra Nice! Yeah I was intimidated installing the DP at first. But glad I knocked it out and could show how to do it. Great mod on these cars!
@@Barbwire710yeah I always liked that look! Did this on my last Supra too. But when I do new wheel I’ll be changing the wire or colors. So they red is good for now with stock wheels
Definitely depends on budget! Both are a good amount different. MST without the inlet pipe is your most economical choice. Adding the inlet pipe is a good touch for more sound. Then the Armaspeed with aluminum cover is the next step up and a bit louder. And this one shown is the top one with all the style! If you want all the carbon and sound, go Armaspeed. If you don't want to spend as much and get almost all the sound, go MST with the inlet. If you want a nice subtle sound for a good price, go MST no inlet ;) We can get all versions for you on our site!
The cover should fit nicely flush the the aluminum heat shield box. Double check the rubber grommets where the lid presses into. It should fit nice and flush. Might have to firmly press it down but it will sit flush
That's a pretty cool 😎 mod. It's actually a loud 🔊 intake but you can still make it even louder. Get a CF Seibon hood that comes with some big functional vents. Those big vents help you to hear the intake louder than what you have now. I have on my 🚗 A90 the AWE CF intake & the Seibon CF hood. It sounds sick. Give it a try for your next video! 😉
Cool! We started with just filming on our phones and editing in windows movie maker. Just use what you have and start filming the content you want to see! Have fun with it!
Not as loud as I thought it would be but that's actually a good thing because it sounds perfect! Before this generation Supra was released, my other favorite was the 3rd generation which was from 1986 thru 92 and you've heard me mention before how I loved those cars in those days. I've been watching a lot of videos on those cars here lately and I believe if you would be able to test drive a 3rd gen Supra, I dont think you would be disappointed!
It’s actually pretty loud compared to others. I have another vid coming today with the microphone under the hood! It’s cool sounding! Yeah the older Supras were all so cool!
Damn, didn't you just put the MST one on 🤣 I haven't been able to drive mine as I am in the northeast, so it is up for the winter. I did try and make the info center display the gauges like you have, but I didn't have any luck... I tried to make it a shortcut to one of the buttons but it didn't seem to work.
Yeah I’ll be testing a lot of parts for our site! I’ll be testing an AWE kit too once they get them in stock. My goal is to have a video of everything we carry on our site so I can have my own photos and info for products. Cool kit tho! Just tap the voice command icon on your steering wheel and say ‘sport displays’
@@its.Andy1I’m testing everything we carry on our website. That way I can 100% know if parts are good and how they perform. I’ll be testing other intakes too. And then I can have my own photos and videos on our site to showcase products.
@@Sixer-84yeah direct bolt on replacement. Does free up the turbo to make it more efficient. Better sound and looks. Low IAT’s and with a tune you’ll get more top end then stock box 👌🏼
Should sound good on the 2.0! What year do you have? Armaspeed tested it on a 2021. Not sure if it fits 2020. But I’ll be testing out several projects on this car for our website. I’ll be comparing a few more intakes on the Supra too. I just want to be able to test everything we have on our website to have my own install videos and photos.
@@joelrodriguez7038very true! Some good automatic Supras out there on the used market. Today’s market is crazy but I feel like you get a good value with a Supra
@@bonguyen7464 you’ll love it! These ship out quick too! brosfourrspeed.com/parts-%26-merchandise/ols/products/armaspeed-carbon-fiber-intake-a90-supra-30
For the wire plug that you removed and the snap ring, do I connect that back to the new exhaust ? Or do I just let them go because the other one is setup differently? I was curious I just received mine and I figure I ask before I remove it. Please help! :)
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Hmm. Dinans CAI has a semi open concept so im not sure if the sound is going to be louder and whether or not the open slats on the side of the housing will provide better performance or allow more heat soak.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Dinan claims that their carbon fiber turbo inlet pipe and CAI will provide max gains of 13 WHP and 14 lb-ft of torque on the B58 engine
I do like the Armaspeed since its carbon and a bit louder. But the MST is a great option at a lower price. We have both on our site and both seem super popular
@@trevine33 That was the plan, but I never bought a Z. Bought the Supra because the Z still isn’t available and the Supra is a much better car that I enjoy way more.
Nope! The Supra only has a temperature sensor in the intake. So there is no reason for a CEL to happen with one. I've had this on the car for a while and my last Supra I had the same one. No issues with them
